I would give this lower than one star if I could. This organization is NOT the answer. I initially joined based upon the North Attleboro location. This location was shut down, so I called to cancel. This organization does everything possible to make it difficult to cancel the contract. NEVER provide bank or credit card information to an origination that lacks basic business ethics. My advice: 1. Do not join this "gym". 2. If you are a member, begin the process of cancelling. This may take some time. 3. Join another gym. There are MANY better alternatives out there. read more

Initially the price is right but expect to pay more as it is extremely difficult and time consuming to cancel a membership. You need to physically go in (or cancel via certified mail - if not certified it tends to get 'lost'); even during Covid. No flexibility during a country wide pandemic! There are very limited times when you can actually cancel, even when they are staffed (they don't do cancellations or man the desk on certain days). Staff were present on my 1st physical attempt; for a blood drive but would not take cancellation paperwork at the desk, even though I said I would be happy to wait as I was moving. I came back again but yes the desk was unattended that day per a staff member. So it took a 3rd physical visit, all between the hours of 1-4PM. The computer systems are often down (I had to go in twice because of this), Jr staff are untrained on the system and on their end they use this excuse to provide only verbal receipt. I did take a photo but now have to fly to Mass and find it. When I realized charges were still hitting my card I was told I had to provide proof I was actually there by Dan (arrogance is a crazy level). The main issue for the consumer is that they only process by hand written paper forms so they can always claim they never rec'd anything. Please read other sites on this. Be warned and do yourself a favor, choose a different health club that has better facilities, customer service (Ownerships only rule is another month of revenue) and much better management/ownership. Probably the worst run gym known to man. Horrible services. Not only does it suck, but trying to cancel your membership is made absolutely impossible. Moved out of state and no one has answered the phone in months. When I finally got in touch, they said I have to come in and get a cancellation form because they don't accept cancellations electronically or verbally... which i am unable to do. When I joined this gym I was promised they would be undergoing renovations VERY soon. 1-year later that is not the case. They could have easily spent the time they were closed for Covid-19 to replace all of their old 1992 era fitness equipment. They did not. They also cut the gym in half. It is now half the size. The lockers don't even close. They are also from the 90's. Prior to Covid ALL machines were covered in dust, apparently they cleaned the machines (only because they had to). This is the only positive improvement. The 2nd floor reeks of mold. The hand weights are all falling apart. The steam room is broken. This gym is always empty, I wonder why? AND apparently they think following state guidelines in cancelling gym memberships according to Massachusetts state law is them doing customers a HUGE favor HA! The men's steam room has about a 25% chance of being functional when there. It is part of the reason I joined this gym. As for billing, the practices are deceptive. My wife joined in September of '16 for a 1 year contract. She tried to rejoin in September at a lower monthly rate and the manager said she could not do that. She left and assumed her membership would expire. The billed our credit card for several months until we noticed it. They said you have to sign something to end your membership. Huh? Anyway, I signed up the same time as my wife and easily had my rate changed. I figured she just talked to the wrong guy but ... I think they may me more amenable to men than women. I called after we discovered the credit card issue and the manager could not have been nicer over the phone and said he'd note her account for when she came in. He fixed it for her but she said he was extremely condescending calling her 'young lady' over and over in a smartass kind of way (she's 60 and he's about 30). My wife (who is not a complainer) also tells me the 'guys' are sometimes hanging out in front of the reception desk 'talking' (dropping f-bombs and being totally unprofessional). I agree with one of the other reviewers who said the regime change caused the gym to go downhill. Please change the regime once again. Other than that the gym equipment is fine for the price. I like working out there. I don't need a personal tv. I prefer the price to be reasonable which it is. Mixed bag. read more

I've been a member at Answer is Fitness in FOXBORO for five years. Recently I received a flyer in the mail claiming a friend could sign up for a 7 day pass. My friend wanted to sign up for that pass and they REFUSED! FALSE ADVERTISING! THEY SAID A PERSON COULD ONLY GET A 7 DAY PASS IF THEY SIGNED A CONTRACT AT THE END OF THE 7 DAYS! She ended up going to LA FITNESS and got a 7 day FREE PASS on the spot, even without knowing anyone who is a member there. read more

WOW! Where do I even begin. There are some clientele at this particular location that are HORRIBLE! I've never met more entitled, self absorbed gym members before in my life. One member is specifically obnoxious. Typically there around lunch time, he must work in the area, this particular member looks at me constantly... not sure if he wants advice, envious, or just wants to think about me later in the shower. He is Caucasian and is always there in a black tshirt (atleast two sizes too small) and shorts. This past week he hasn't put away a single weight he took out. I overheard him once complaining to the manager about something, prolly wanting someone to pick up his weights... pretty sure his name sounded like Cleo Koala... he looked like he was about to cry because he wasn't getting what he wanted... Besides these few select individuals, the gym is pretty great. I typically go to answers in canton, but have to go to this foxboro location during the day when I work in the next town over. While a smaller location, the staff has been welcoming and friendly. I had to heat up one of my meals at the gym and they even allowed me to use their microwave. I really only weight train, so can't comment on any other services. All in all, great gym. Just if you go at lunch time, you'll see the absolute worse people, like Cleo. read more

Came here while staying with my parents over the Thanksgiving Holiday. This gym space has changed hands a number of times since I went there on college breaks 13 years ago. (Formerly Gold's Gym, and formerly Rodman Health & Fitness). You walk in and you see the desk, and all the cardio equipment. The equipment doesn't have individual TV's like so many clubs, but there are a couple of LCD's on the wall you can watch while doing cardio. There is a TRX area, and precor machine area just off of that. HIDDEN past the racketball court, is a fairly well equipped free-weight area. I didn't even notice it at first! Everything in there is a bit dated, but 45lbs plates weight the same. A day pass is $15, but this place seems to be going after the Planet Fitness model. No frills, low cost, but they have a lot more than PF has. Staff seemed friendly, and the crowd ranged from older folks, to college kids, to broad dudes curling 100s. I'll be back when visiting home for holidays. read more

If you hate being SOLD don't go to this gym. Like most poorly run campaigns, their free 7 day pass is for people who want to join. You can't go in and just check it out, like every other gym chain on earth. The sales vibe was strong, and you'll just end up wasting your breath if you try to point out their ads are not written honestly. It upset them like I was insulting their mother. The more I pointed it out, the more it got shouted down. They didn't even understand that normal people will react to an ad that's deceptively written after driving there and finding out it's not. It upset one guy so much he pushed on me til I left. None of it was worth the hassle, and the place seemed kind of...not dirty, but....shabby? Like run down? The food area (smoothies) was very clean, but it all just felt like bad parody of a gym on a sitcom. Complete with the guy listening to some serious Rap with a towel on his head shoving me out the door telling me to call the cops because....he was the only one here. Like...is this a joke or something? Guess I'm buying thermals and trail running. So if you want to pay 15 dollars a day to use treadmills and deal with people that need a court ordered anger management course, give this place a try. read more

One of the staff members; the tall Indian guy (I would be more precise, however I do not know his name) always seems to have a stick up his ass. Never once have I been greeted with some form of "hello" every time I encounter him. Consistently has some sort of superior complex he seems to be dealing with. Constantly gives the stink eye basically. A lot of members here also seem to have that issue with others throughout the facility. That can happen at any gym though. No one enforces that all weights must be cleaned up as well. The gym is okay. I go here for convenience sake. It has everything I need basically but having poor staff like that makes the "experience" quite less enjoyable. Regardless, I'll keep going because it's convenient. But, I feel things need to be changed. The women staff here are always quite kind and I get along with them fairly well. If only "some" of them would learn from the women.. read more

Every day in the morning, he backs his car into a parking space opposite the front door of the gym. He is a long time gym member and acts like he owns the place. For over two years now, he's been harassing me in the locker room. Every day, I suffer some form of harassment. He does all these things when there's no one in the locker room to provide witness. Despite multiple complaints to Gym management, no action has been taken or is planned. read more

Cheap prices, but the staff is unhelpful and rude, and recent renovations made the lifting/machines area too small.

Decent gym - lots of equipment, classes and no pretension. We went for a day and purchased 15 dollar day passes. There aren't TVs built into the equipment but there are tvs above. There was even a tv in the men's locker room. I'd go again - why not. read more

Classes are well done.The ladies locker room is very old, has missing tiles, mildew in the showers doors, a constant dangerous puddle from the steam room that runs all the time, and missing doors or closures for the filthy lockers. Clean it up folks! read more

Pretty good place to work out. Lots of machine options. Huge women's locker room and a nice women's only area which I really like! I have not once felt intimidated coming here. The Answer is Fitness clubs were good a year ago, but they've gone downhill. I just cancelled my membership after joining the YMCA, and found out that the have a ton of hidden charges, including an annual "club enhancement fee" of $49, a semi-monthly service charge of $19.50 and a membership cancellation fee of $30 (just for quitting the gym!). When they "renovated" the Foxboro group activities room, they cut it in half, and turned the other half into an exercise room available to member for additional fees ($79/month)! They also butchered the group exercise program. The North Attleboro location NEVER has anyone at the front desk to provide the towel service I pay for. The price they actually charge you is about the same as the YMCA, but with less locations. read more

The staff here are amazing! Chris the manager there is the nicest guy you will meet! This gym awesome variety of cardio machines, free weights, weight machines, and group classes which is hard to find now a days for sure. I would recommend this gym to all my friends and family! read more

WOW!! Where do i even begin?? The staff at this particular location is HORRIBLE! I've never met such an unfriendly, judgmental gym staff in my entire life. Two staff members in particular is a young looking man with a pony tail bun, and a 6ft something Indian (who is particularly the worst of all staff members). Upon arrival, you're lucky if they even lift their heads up for a quick hello. I was leaving today, and I told mr.ponytail to have a great weekend, he refused to even pick his head up from his phone, and give even the slightest acknowledgement to my compliment. When working out, the staff members constantly stare, and judge other members who might not be as big as them, and walk around like a couple of school yard bullies. It's actually EXTREMELY pathetic. Not only are their attitudes disgusting but so is the gym equipment. I've yet to see ANY of the staff members enforce any of the gym rules or so much as clean a machine, rack a weight, or even sweep the floor.... It's truly disgusting. I have a friend who received a back infection because this place is SO grimy. If this gym wasn't directly across from my place of employment, i would have quit after the first month. Hopefully, someone sees this review, and things change around there. Its truly a pathetic excuse for a gym. Not to mention, they never turn on the a.c. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM!!!!!!
