Fast service and although for the driver had a little difficulty connecting my vehicle. He got the Job Done. He was very courteous, used his signals and he took Gr8 care of my vehicle and me. **Warning: Avoid This Towing Company at All Costs** This company is one of the most unprofessional and unethical businesses I have ever encountered. My car was towed from a store parking lot, and the phone number listed on their sign didn't even work. I had to track down the correct number through a nearby store employee. When I finally reached someone around 8 PM, the woman who answered was shockingly rude and dismissive. She told me the company was "closed" -- which is highly unusual for a towing service -- clearly an intentional tactic to make things as difficult as possible. The next morning, when I called again for the address, the same woman was even nastier. Upon arrival, I found their "office" in a sketchy, hard-to-locate building in a run-down area. Inside were two women with appalling attitudes and zero professionalism. They told me their credit card machine "wasn't working" and demanded $250 in cash -- something never mentioned over the phone. When I said I didn't have that amount in cash, they pushed me to send money via Zelle, which felt completely untrustworthy. After I paid, they suddenly claimed the correct fee was $215 and began arguing among themselves about how to issue a refund. When I asked for the refund so I could leave, one of the employees -- Elizabeth Warner -- verbally insulted me using a racial slur. A male colleague arrived and gave me $35 in cash from his wallet. This entire operation is unprofessional and hostile. Their staff is rude beyond belief, their payment practices are shady, and their behavior toward customers is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, I cannot support the positive reviews for this company. I called when I desperately needed this company's support and they assured me they would be on the way. I received time estimates of 10-15 minutes and assurance that the driver was "around the corner". They never came. I'm highly disappointed and would never attempt to utilize this company again. Dewayne got to my husband and I quickly late at night when we called to get one of our vehicles (that we leased to someone) repossessed. My husband and I thought it was something wrong with it but Dewayne found out that the emergency brake was on that's why it wouldn't go into gear. I was having the worst day ever when my control arm broke on my suv. I called my insurance company for roadside assistance an was told it would arrive in 118 min. So of course now I'm stuck and I'll be waiting for 2 hours or so I thought Then, i received a call from Dontay an he tells me he'll be here in 25 min. I couldn't be happier at this point. He arrived, took him about 3 mins to hook up the truck then we preceeded to enter the vehicles. Now let me start by saying this first. This was the cleans tow truck I've ever seen in my life. I'm talking about leather shining, smell good, and good music. On the ride to the dealership to drop my car off we had the greatest conversation and to be honest kinda changed my outlook on life. I'll try to keep this incredibly long ordeal concise. I had my car towed by this company to their shop (since aparently they're a towing company and repair shop in one) on a SUNDAY night. MONDAY morning I was told my car would be done at 3pm. By 4:30 I called and I was told "so sorry, we ordered the wrong part" I was told it'd be done by TUESDAY at 11am. 2:30PM TUESDAY I was told they fixed the main problem but then engine light was still on. At this point I had had enough and since the main undrivable issue was "fixed" I decided to pick up my car....this is when it get's interesting. Have you ever looked up 2600 28th St NE on google maps? DO IT! The place doesnt even have a sign on it! It's in one of the WORST areas in DC and I've lived here for 3 years. The cab driver that took me there was literally hesitant to let me get out. But I see my poor beetle sitting there (with the front license place dangling off...HOW THAT HAPPENED I have no idea!) I walked through a boarded up building to a woman who told me CASH ONLY, and that I had to WALK TO THE NEAREST LIQUOR STORE TO AN ATM. A 20-something girl coming from work, walking to a liquor store for an ATM in the hood....AWESOME. I was in tears but made it to the sketchy store and back. the total was $214...I gave her $220....SHE HAD NOT CHANGE. I didn't care and just left. Ten minutes down the road.....my car shut off. If i could give my tow experience a 0, i would do that. It may not be the company but just the person who serviced me. He said it was impossible to do something i have seen too many tow vehicles do, bring a car behind my house. Even when i said fine, leave it on the front of the house, he said he would have to leave ot in the middle of the street. I had to tell him thats not a good idea and told him a common sense way to leave the car on the road so its not in the middle of the road. If I could give this place a ZERO I would! A monkey with one working limb and a banana could run this place better than the family of idiots who are currently doing so. The amount of unprofessionalism I experienced with this company was mind blowing. The bird for brain woman (& I use that term loosely) was irate over the phone for no reason but once I called the police and they showed up after she REFUSED to service me and give me MY vehicle she was suddenly able to muster up some professionalism skills from that rotten mouth of hers! It also didn't help that the giant bald man who also works there lacked professionalism skills and refused to help me also. I showed up at 8:40 am and saw that they were closed. There were no signs on their door and they were listed as 24 hours online. I called the number listed on Google and asked the wild boar why Google listed them as open 24/7 and she replied in a hostile tone that she wasn't going to argue with me and that the shop opens at 9:30. She also proceeded to argue that I didn't call the shop before coming there as if her holding MY car was an inconvenience to her. How are y'all available to tow 24/7 but not available to give people their property back at 8:40 am? She hung up the phone & then called me from an outside number and told me that I needed to have $195 cash to get my vehicle. I told her I only have a card to pay and there was a sign on the door that said they accepted different forms of credit card payments. I asked the chimpanzee where she was calling me from and she told me that I didn't matter and to have the cash ready. It's 2022 why do you not accept digital payments..that's sketchy..She blocked me from both numbers & that's when things escalated. At that point I felt like I was being scammed and threatened. When the police got there, the ogre told them that their system was down & that's why they can't accept card payments. I saw other ppl list complaints from 2018 so how is it that your system been down for 4 years?? Because of this I had to walk 40 min in total to an atm to retrieve cash. Had a motorcycle here after it was recovered by police after a theft. First off, let me say that the cash-only policy for this entire business is bass-ackwards, and I still cannot wrap my head around how a business let alone a tow company used by MPDC doesn't accept credit cards in 2018. On top of that, the tow rates seem expensive based on research I've done around other local and national averages. Second, the window to pay the lady is upstairs, in a lobby that feels like the waiting room for a porn shoot, with stickers and reflective material peeling off a window with a hole barely wide enough to fit your hand in to hand over the money. Finally, the entire building and garage feel dirty, unmaintained, and honestly sketchy. There's very little about this that feels like a legitimate, professional business operation. The driver who took my bike to the dealer was actually very helpful and professional, which is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. Use a different company if you have the option though. read more

This is the worst towing company. I think the owner is a female and she is never available, or at least pretends to be busy when there is a "MAJOR PROBLEM". They towed one of my client's car, and their wheel lift was too weak or old and it dropped the car and then they just abandoned the car somewhere in SE until another truck could come pick it up. They damaged the rims, from scraping on the pavement. The suspension bushings and a few other components broke and its been over a month and we are still awaiting a reimbursement check. read more

While driving down 295 South, their driver cut me off and came within INCHES of my car and another. He did this deliberately. He was getting on 295 from an exit and was in the far right lane. I was in the middle lane and did not move or change lanes. He sped up to the rear of a car in front of him in the far right lane. He then cut me off, nearly hitting me with his rear wheels, and almost hit the other car in front of him. There was zero reason to do this as there were no other cars in sight. He should have braked and gotten behind me if he wanted to pass the other car. If he then wanted to pass me, fine. Pick the left or right after passing the slow car. But he chose the dick move and nearly caused a three car accident to save a few seconds. Oh and a bonus... He then proceeded to cut off more cars with no turn signal about a half mile down the road where traffic had backed up. He was constantly weaving in and out of traffic. And I heard at least one person of the many he cut offb honk their horn. This was at 2pm, March 18th, 2021 on 295 Southbound in Washington, DC near the Benning Road exit. read more

They were condescending and did not adjust price for $220 worth of missing goods. - It is hard to get a cab in this isolated area. Neighborhood is dangerous. - No sanitary bathroom - only a toilet with no running water to wash your hands (in a garage or shed) - Questionable people around the shop - If goods disappear from your car while under their care, deffinitely report it to AAA (if AAA payed for the towing to or from). I called one morning to get a car towed that had been blocking our gate so we couldnt get our car out at all. It had already been ticketed so it just needed to be towed. I called early in the morning and was told it would be there in 30 minutes. After an hour I called again. I was told it would be there shortly. After another 30 minutes later I called again and was told the same thing. Two hours later I called and I was told again that they would be there shortly. Spent precious work hours waiting for this guy to come pick up a car, only to get told that he couldn't take the car bc it wasn't "broken down" because the car was inoperable in front of the home. So the gentleman comes to retrieve my car and I tell him what's wrong with it. Before he works with my car, I inform him that I'm not going with him. I also tell him that he will need to drop the car off at the service center in Alexandria and the Service Rep name who is awaiting his arrival. He lifts my car and I head off to retrieve cash for him. He only accepts cash. When I return, he is standing on my porch and says to me that he wasn't aware that I had another car. I hand him the money and thank him for his time. I receive a phone call upon entering my home and the gentleman is adamant that I must come with him to the service center and wondering why I can not drive the car I just got out of and follow him. I am annoyed that I must explain to a tow truck driver whether I own two cars and why I can't tail him in someone else's car. He still continues to tell me he is making a judgment call and either I tail him in the car he just saw me hop out of, come with him or he will need to put my car down. Confused and annoyed, I retrieve my car and the cash I provided him. The gentleman wasted my time and energy today. I will redirect you to District Towing for professional and expedient service!! Upon their arrival, I was able to hand my keys to a professional and smiling gentleman who assured me he would take care of the car and get it to the destination. He was swift in loading the car and provided me with a phone call after the car was delivered. District Towing will provide you much better service than Ant Towing.
