Great atmosphere, live music, and friendly staff. We had wings from a food truck and they were delicious. But the star of dinner was a Gluten Free Pizza. We had to ask the kitchen to make sure it truly was Gluten Free because it was so good. From the very moment I walked into The Antebellum Ale House, I knew I was absolutely going to love this place! From the first look I could see 50 craft beers on tap with a beautiful bar, could hear great music playing, see locals and tourists having a pint with friends and I could smell some pretty good food cooking in the air as well. Since I live about an hour away was VERY JELLY that I don't have a home pub this freakin cool. The inside makes me feel like I'm draw back into an epic fantasy book like the Prancing Pony in The Lord of the Rings. It was to damn bad I forgot my elven cloak at home.. The vibe is that sweet. They have a nice size outdoor area and even a stage for some live music The service is as super fantastic! It's pretty rare for me that see a bunch of beers I don't recognize The bartender gave me quite a few suggestions and hooked me up some samples as well. I can tell he was as passionate about a good quality craft beer as me and he definitely knew what he was talking about. The very interesting thing about this spot that I've not yet seen in the DFW area is the pub is a "membership only". The bartender said it's because of how their liquor license is set up. But do not fear it's super easy, all they have to do is just scan your drivers license only once and you're in! Very easy! We found Antebellum while visiting some family nearby, and we decided to try something new for a late lunch. We found Antebellum and drove over based on its reviews and we were really happy with our experience - and with introducing our family to a new place in their neighborhood! We happened to stop in early afternoon on a weekday, which happened to be during their happy hour, so we received a slight discount on drafts. We were the only customers looking for a beer at 2-3 in the afternoon, so they were more than happy to have us in. The staff allowed us to taste a few beers we were interested in and helped us decide on what we wanted for lunch. All four of us went with the Reuben and chips. Beer was cold and delicious, and the Reubens were perfectly cooked and ticked every box. Each of us were satisfied and had a great time. We can't wait to visit family again and go to our new favorite place for drinks in Weatherford - which we helped introduce them to. read more

ZERO stars. When my fiancé and I came in there were maybe 3 tables taken. After ordering a drink and appetizer we then waited 45 min for two pretzel sticks and a cup of cheese (which was disgusting) . 4-5 difference parties came in and ordered after us and we were still waiting for our food (an hour at this point) for two grilled cheeses. Didn't catch the bartenders name but he was tall gay and had a porn stache. Had my first experience here tonight. Drinks were good. When I ordered my first initial drink I caught an off almost rude vibe from the bartender when I asked ab an apple liquor and he looked at the other bartender like I was dumb. I shook it off got a different drink and went and sat w my friends. I came back up to the bar ordered a couple other drinks and went and sat outside by the fire. Drinks were good, we were talking and having a good time w every intention on coming back. The bartender then walks behind us to my friend and says "Hey I know you're a minor, it's cool for now but don't fuck w us again." She was not drinking and nobody ever asked for her ID or said minors were not allowed in the building at any point. Then we walk up to the bar for my other friend to pay out. He starts going off on all of us saying we were "talking shit." When quite literally he was not a thought in anybody's head but his apparently. We all looked at him confused and I said he never checked her ID and that no where it said minors could not be here and that it wouldn't happen again. He continued to yell at us saying she was not welcome back and that we were playing stupid and knew better. I am a bartender myself. 2nd time here. First time here was several years ago. Today (3/13) we were heading to Granbury, from Fort Worth, via the "back road" (Tin Top Highway). We actually wanted to go to Parker County Brewing, but missed the exit and didn't feel like doubling back. Our primary goal was food, as Thuy was hungry. I saw pizza like things in other reviews, so I knew I was good. Once we looked over the menu, and at the recommendation of another customer, Thuy opted for the French Dip Roast Beef Sandwich. Thuy wanted to split it, so I nixed the pie. Great selection of beers, and even root bear on tap (for Thuy). Last time I was here, it was cold and sleeting and at night, so I never saw, nor appreciated the great outdoor space. Also, nice to have found the ample parking just north of the AAH (just park and walk). We found the French Dip (Note: It's listed as "Hot Roast Beef + Au Jus" on the menu, didn't not realize there was a charge, 50 cents, for the horseradish. No mention of Texas Toast, but then again, it's not called a French Dip either) to be OK. Not quite worth the price of $12, and we weren't to crazy about it being on Texas Toast, vs a roll. But it was OK. I did appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, both in front and behind the plexiglass screen. Loved it! We're new to the area and Texas and decided to try Antebellum Ale House today for lunch. Wow - great experience. We each ordered beer flights. They were on special today, $6 for four 5 ounce glasses. I had a flight of stouts and they were all great. I think my favorite was the Milk Stout. And the most interesting and also really good was the Puppy Chow Stout. My wife had a flight of Ales and she enjoyed them all. Her favorite was the Billy Jenkins Bock. We each ordered a flatbread pizza for lunch She had the The Veggie. She omitted the olives and added chicken. She ordered the Jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce. I had the Hot Chick, also with the Jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce. Both flatbreads were excellent. Of course, the Hot Chick had some bite to it - but just the right amount for me. We ate indoors but most people were eating outside. The staff here (Austin, Austin and Matt) were all super friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to our next visit to Antebellum Ale House! read more

Went by tonight and ordered the hot beef sandwich with au jus and hubs ordered a pizza called italian overload. Food had a really great flavor!! I got the locust cider black cherry and hubs got the tigers blood. Ambiance outside was great. Seems a local favorite as there were families and couples. I liked that they allow dogs on the patio and had games for the kids. Only complaint was the food was cold and took a little bit but everything else was on point!! read more

What a great relax place. Took my grown kids and grandkids there, sat outside but the inside looks like a great place to hang with friends and stay in the cool once we get into the scorch season here. First time to this establishment. Took my neighbors for a little pregame action before the Back in Black concert at the Weatherford Amphitheater. What a cool place! We walked in the door and immediately the barkeep invited us in with a friendly hello and explained how everything worked for the first timers. The bar area makes you feel like you're home as they take your drink and food orders. There's a nice outdoor area complete with misting fans and TVs, but we opted for some indoor seating since it was 100 in the shade on the first day of Fall. The area is cozy and comfortable. The drinks were nice and refreshing and we all opted for smash burgers from the outdoor grill. Excellent choice! Burgers were right on as well as the tator tot side. I've got a feeling that we will be back the next time we find ourselves in Kangaroo Kountry! read more

The food is great, it's an awesome atmosphere, there's live music, and the drinks are amazing! The service can take time, but that's because they're busy, because it's awesome. The people working there are HUSTLING, but they still give off a very relaxed vibe. This is, hands down, my favorite place in Weatherford. Give it a try, and it might become yours, too. I have been a customer with this restaurant since I moved here and October I probably spent over $400 a week there. This weekend I went in and I ordered my drink and a tomato basil soup. When the soup came out I asked the young man for crackers and cheese. And that's okay that he forgot because he was a young man. So halfway through my soup I go and ask at the bar for crackers again and then I'm down to fourth of all the soup so I went back one more time and asked for crackers and what I got is the manager person Jared come running across the restaurant with a full restaurant saying don't ever disrespect me and you're not allowed back here. And I don't think asking for crackers is disrespect. And I think it could have been handled more professionally than screaming across the restaurant that I disrespected by asking for crackers a third time otherwise before this time I have always got excellent service and the other people there are super sweet and so was Jared but I don't know what to deal with that day but it was very unprofessional read more
