Pleasantly surprised by this spot. I expected it to be more divey than it was but it's actually a really solid spot. I expected a basic bar with some liquor and beer but they also had upscale drink options like martinis and several wines so there is something for everyone. The food menu was a nice variety from snacks to pizzas to burgers. Good sized open air patio on the front and indoor "patio" on the back as well makes this bigger than it looks. Cresson needs somewhere like this for locals to enjoy so happy to see it doing well. read more

Came here on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. This place is a lot of fun. The burgers are really good. I got a 7oz smash burger and it was $13.50. Only bad part is they don't have fries so they give you bags of chips instead. The beer is pretty cheap here and their glasses as sturdy, considering my friend dropped 2 beers and they didn't break. They have pool tables and game machines in the back. You need quarters for the pool tables & they don't have an ATM but they do have a change machine. read more

Solid Spot for a Tasty Lunch Stopped by The Cresson Wrench for a late weekday lunch and had a great experience. My wife ordered the smash burger and really enjoyed it--I went with the cheeseburger, and it was just as satisfying. The patties were cooked well and had great flavor. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, checking in regularly to refill drinks and make sure we had everything we needed. The overall vibe of the place was welcoming, with a laid-back atmosphere and helpful staff all around. It hits the key marks: good food, great service, and a comfortable setting. We stopped by The Cresson Wrench hoping for a good burger and some fries, but they did not offer fries or onion rings, only a bag of chips. The chip bag was larger than the small ones you get in the variety pack, but I was really craving fries. My burger tasted a little off, almost like the grill had not been cleaned in a while. It could be just me, but seeing another review, they said they tasted grease. On the bright side, the staff was very nice and easy on the eyes. I get the feeling most people come here for the drinks, cute servers, and the laid-back vibe rather than the food. They do allow smoking outside, so keep that in mind if you have kids. The patrons were friendly and even let my toddlers play pool with them, which was a nice gesture. Overall, it is a chill spot for a casual drink, but do not expect much from the menu. read more

Atmosphere was cool & the server was really nice. However their menu for food is very small, basically hot dogs or a burger. Burger came with everything on the side, which is fine I suppose, I was craving some bacon shredded cheese fries or just fries in general and they don't serve that which is really odd being a sports bar. Soft drinks were off, I think they could probably use a reverse osmosis for the inlet water supply, tasted a little like tap water mixed with the syrup. Overall, atmosphere is great but in terms of a food spot I think it could use a lot of improvement. If you're looking for a place to drink beer etc and watch sports this is the spot for you. If you're looking for a good local spot to eat just keep driving. read more

Working at Motorsport Ranch we go there often for lunch and get lunch for our weekend drivers. Quality is awesome. Beer after the end of day is cold and service is always great. Best place in Cresson. read more

First, to the George M. Review of this establishment. Yelp is for reviews of the service, food, atmosphere, or anything related to your actual dining experience at a restaurant!! It is NOT for ignorant cowards to post a personal vendetta against a business owner that has nothing to do with rating the actual establishments services. Very sad and disappointed, Yelp would even let a review like this post! The Cresson Wrench has amazing food, a very cool vibe and fun atmosphere! They are supporting local musicians by having live music every Friday and Saturday night. I have yet to run across one person who has actually had a meal and spent an evening at The Wrench that didn't love it. The owners are the most humble and polite people you will ever come across! Food was horrible. I ordered a cheese burger and it was pink all the way through , tasted more grease than any kind of seasoning . A few non-Texas beers, but mostly they were Texas crafts. I actually liked that because that was their goal/model. I was able to sample 7 beers I have never tried before. Considering my purchased record at my home store is 707. That being said, if you're looking for a "stable", go next door to The Filling Station. BUT, if you're willing and want to expand your pallette, and you're in town for whatever reason, this is THE place for that. All of their pints are $7-8, a very reasonable price. Came tonight because it was "pint night" featuring Cowtown Beers, four of them. Fired off a flight, enjoyed them all. $10 for all four. Oh yeah, the best part, at least for now, they have the Chimay Cinq Cents on tap for $9.50.
