Which leads me to my visit. I recently had my wisdom teeth removed (4 weeks prior) and was still experiencing some cold and sweet sensitivity but it was getting better, still wanted to make sure everything was okay. They did X-rays of the bottom teeth. She said I needed a root canal and a crown. Which threw me a bit because I actually just had these teeth xrayed about 6 weeks prior and another out of network dentist said I had no issues with the teeth and it must be my wisdom teeth. I was confused how a new problem could have occurred that quickly. I really thought perhaps I am just still healing from the wisdom teeth and have an exposed nerve. That's all fine to have differing opinions from different dentists though. But Then she just looked at my teeth and started railing off other cavities I had. She reminded me of my poor dental health and asked if I had a sweet tooth. Now I have had dental issues in the past but I am a twice daily brusher, not the best flosser but definitely try and take care of them. She kept reminding me of my downfalls over and over again. I felt like some of these cavities could be reversed. And she never did an xray of the top just looked at it and scraped my teeth. Annoying but I knew I would just go to another dentist and get another opinion. BUT THEN I came straight home looked in the mirror and saw my front tooth had been chipped slightly in the front. I called in a panic (and my apologies and respect to the front desk cause she was a saint for dealing with me and very good at her job). The dentist told her I had already had the chip and denied doing it. I wasn't looking at my teeth closely when I got home... I just washed my hands, smiled and there it was. I resent her for not just owning that it had happened in the moment. I really would have been understanding cause it's not that hard of a fix. Just filing my tooth down really but it made me feel so robbed and gave me the ick to say the least. I am in health care and specifically a nurse in the ER so I get giving bad news or treating someone in pain can be hard on the professional. Lots of time they are blamed when really it's just a bad situation and not their fault. I will say it was hard for me hearing all the problems but the downfall of events to follow are the reason for this post. Im really disgusted by experience and I just hope I am a one off moment for her. On yelp she has great reviews but on my health insurance app they are BAD. Super bad. I thought these people weren't being fair but maybe they are.

The providers are genuine and explain every step of your treatment in terms any non-medical professional can understand. Before I started treatment with Brigham Orthodontics, my inflamed TMJ was hindering my quality of life. It was difficult for me to open my mouth, painful to chew food, and my face was visibly swollen from inflammation. I had been told by other providers I would most likely need surgery followed by traditional braces. In my initial consult with Dr. Brigham, he told me that he was 98% sure he could alleviate my TMJ symptoms and straighten my teeth with just Invisalign - no surgery, no traditional braces, and he was RIGHT!
