And they were charging about $371 for a 2 surface or $453 for a 3 surface filling which is about 1.5x more then where i ended up going to get my fillings done

I originally chose to go here by doing my due diligence and reading into the business and real life reviews, I really spent quite a bit of time vetting where I would go to change my smile permanently. This practice checked all of the boxes. They are very professional and kind. No pressure, no telling you that you need more than what you're asking for, they let you make your decisions and provide transparency with pricing. They don't send you automated spam texts for years after visiting and they treat people fairly. I'm very happy with Dr. Tenney's level of expertise and service-minded support. The office staff, dental assistants, neat & clean office and RESULTS are what has made their reputation so great. I actually had fun we laughed the entire time they worked on my teeth. And no I didn't have laughing gas. Dr. Schuerman has to be the coolest hippest most caring dentist I have ever met. She took her time, she explained what she was doing, she checked to see how I was doing. She gave me three shots and not one of them hurt. She was very professional. I would recommend her to everyone I know. The people at the front desk are amazing. Very caring and very nice. I love going to Desert Smiles.

He, too, was professional, detailed, and gregarious. The entire team here @ Italian Smiles is awesome w/ great spirited and friendly attitudes. When he arrived, he was told, first, that he was scheduled for an exam only. After the exam, he was then told that he needed a "Level 2" cleaning, which required a separate visit, was charged as a periodontic visit (and therefore not covered under his preventive benefits), and would have to have that done at a separate time. Miraculously, they had an open slot that very afternoon. He was told that he was going to be charged for several "required medicines" that were not covered by his (very rich Ameritas plan). They were going to fleece him for over $350, and set him up on a payment plan. Fortunately, he had the good sense to call me before proceeding. As an employee benefit consultant, I work with dental insurance for a living. I spoke to their billing person who said they could not modify it from the hygienist's recommendation. I asked if the hygienist was paid a commission, which they denied. Regardless, it was inappropriate and arguably unethical. My son left without the cleaning and will find a patient-first practice instead of a payment-first practice. Unfortunately, these situations are becoming more common, and Italian Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry appears to be part of the problem.

The doctor let me know that he did damage the nerve with the needle but that it should heal and to take nervive to help with the healing process and that it should heal overtime. I got the wisdom teeth taken out in March. Its now june I am still experiencing numbness in the same area and it has not changed or improved and I have just received an email from their legal team asking me to remove my previous Yelp review because they believe it is a "false statement." I feel bullied and unappreciated and I'm deeply concerned with their intentions and their well-being for their customers. They haven't reached out to offer any compensation or even an apology or any other options for getting the sensation back to my face, the last thing i was told was to give it time. They just want me to stay quiet and keep it hidden that they did damage but I wanna let you know the risks. This is not a place I will ever trust again.

When my crowns were ready to install. During the install not one time did he ask me if they felt ok. I was thinking when he pulled them out, he would sand them down a little. STAY AWAY FROM LEGACY DENTAL. I am beyond disappointed with how this office handled a legitimate…read moreconcern about dental work they performed. Dr. Core placed a filling for me in May 2024. For nearly two years, that tooth has NEVER felt right. It has remained sensitive to hot and cold, and I cannot bite down on anything hard without discomfort. I gave it time because I understood that fillings can sometimes take time to adjust, but the problem never went away. Today, while flossing, I discovered that the filling appears to be WIGGLING AND LOOSE. I immediately called Legacy Dental expecting, at the absolute minimum, that they would want to examine a filling their office placed that has been symptomatic ever since it was done. Instead, I was met with one of the most rude, cold, and condescending customer service experiences I have ever had at a medical or dental office. The receptionist I spoke with was Maria. Maria told me they would NOT even look at the filling unless I signed up for another plan and paid to be seen again. Apparently, even when work performed by this office may be failing, their first response is not concern for the patient or an evaluation of their work. It is asking for more money. Even more concerning, Maria began attempting to diagnose me OVER THE PHONE, telling me that because she has assisted a dentist for 10 years, I "probably grind my teeth." I have no history of grinding my teeth, and I find it completely inappropriate for a receptionist to speculate about the cause of a dental problem without the dentist even examining the tooth. The most disturbing part of the conversation came when I specifically asked what would happen if Dr. Core examined the filling and determined that it had not been bonded properly. Maria told me that even if that were the case, the doctor would "never admit that." That statement alone completely destroyed my confidence in this practice. I was not demanding a free procedure. I was asking them to LOOK AT A FILLING THEY PLACED that has caused problems since it was done and is now apparently loose. They would not even do that without requiring me to pay them again. Where is the accountability? Where is the concern for the patient? Where is the willingness to stand behind your own dental work? The complete lack of empathy, professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. Instead of trying to understand what happened or offering any reasonable solution, I was spoken down to, given an unsolicited diagnosis over the phone, and essentially told to pay more money if I wanted them to even investigate whether their own work had failed. I trusted this office with my dental care, and this is how they responded when I reported a potential problem with their work. I will now be having the filling independently evaluated and documented by another dentist, and I intend to pursue this matter through the appropriate channels based on what that evaluation shows. Legacy Dental had every opportunity to simply listen to my concern and examine their work. Instead, they chose to dismiss me. Absolutely unacceptable. I would think twice before trusting this practice with your dental care.
