A room of chandeliers doesn't make up for the fact that the person doing my pedicure had to get up no less than 15 times to make appointments, answer phone, greet guests and pay out tips to other employees. There were 5 other employees just sitting around, not helping. There were even two employees that were sitting doing each other's nails. Spare yourself- if you have the option to go literally anywhere else, go there instead. The staff was rude and rushed us along as soon as we walked in. None of us (our group of three) got the colors we pointed to and asked for. We all ended up with botched nails and bleeding cuticles. The pedicure was painful. He filed my friend's toenails down to the root and then made a comment about how she has small toenails?? This isn't something anyone else has ever done or mentioned to her? Then, he brought out the hot towels to wrap around her legs and there was a giant, crusty, yellow toenail clipping on her towel. She pointed it out to him and he didn't pluck it off! During my pedicure, my tech brought acetone for me to soak off my previous dip. It got everywhere, which is normal (and my last nails were black so it was very noticeably all over my fingers), but she wouldn't get some acetone on a paper towel to wipe it off my skin, which isn't normal. It didn't matter how many times I asked, she just said I should wash my hands with soap. If dip came off with soap, it wouldn't be a popular option in nail salons. At one point, she took a nail file to my skin!! Rather than just wiping my fingers down with acetone! When I pointed this out to Don (the manager), he just offered to give me 30% off my next visit. Pointless, because I'm not coming back. I would have rathered him just clean the dip off my fingers. My nails are aching hours after I got dip. I've been getting my nails dipped at a different Anthony Vince location (Noblesville) for over a year now and I've never experienced this pain before. I deeply regret coming to here. I wish I could just have my money back. It was my younger cousin's birthday and her first time getting a mani/pedi. I used to love this place. It's not under new management and ownership. All the good nail techs are now gone. I do dip nails which doesn't require a light. They now do it the cheap way using a light. She was detail oriented and took the time to make sure everything was just right. Although I'm sad my regular nail tech James has retired, I have never had a bad experience here and cannot recommend them enough. This place used to be my favorite when it first opened, I hadnt been back in about 2 years due to my profession not allowing me to wear nails. The gal who did my nails was rude, flung my hands around cut me several times and rushed through the whole process (full set of acrylic almond shape in under 30 mins) which I have never experienced before. I have been coming here regularly since they first opened and had such a lovely experience. However, I've been having sub par experiences lately and at this point, I think I'm done with Anthony Vince Nail Spa. Here's why: 1. They've raised their prices. There's a small placard on the drying station that mentions due to credit card fees, you can save 10% on your service by paying in cash. What they don't mention is everything is 10% more expensive than it was before. I paid $94 on a visit about a month ago and my full set came off less than 2 weeks later, it wasn't even time for a fill yet, but they were lifting so badly I had to pop them off. My toes looked terrible and streaky. I really wanted to go back and request a refund because that was completely unacceptable. 2. They stopped serving alcohol. On my most recent visit on September 13, 2019, the tech doing my nails asked if I wanted anything to drink. I replied "a mimosa please" and she said "oh we don't have alcohol anymore, do you want juice?" So I said yes. The free drinks were what made the high prices at this place bearable. 3. Pricing is shady now. Before applying the polish she asked if I'd like to pay first so I didn't mess up my nails. I said sure and asked her how much my service would be since prices are not readily available on the walls or anything like most places. She said she didn't know and needed to check. She took my card and came back with a receipt for $45. Checking the price and swiping a card are two different things and I don't think that was appropriate to do at all. my card was just swiped without me understanding what I was paying for. 4. They don't listen anymore. They'll ask you a million times if you like the way they look so they can check the box that you agreed to whatever they did, and when you say no and ask them to fix whatever is wrong, they patronize you. I like my nails very short as you can see in the photos. I also like a slight coffin/tapered square shape to my nail. Every time I come here, everyone acts as if this is an impossible request and literally will not cut any further than THEY want to. On my most recent visit, I asked the tech to cut short. She cut medium and asked if that was ok. No, shorter. She puts the cutter on my nail and clips but I'm 100% sure she didn't cut anything. To prevent an argument, I asked her to just cut all my nails and I'll take a look then. I kept asking her to cut them shorter and shorter and she said "I can't do the shape you want when they are this short" but I literally showed her a picture of what I wanted and it's very possible. after going back and forth with her for so long I gave up. So to the manager that will respond saying I should've said something while I was there, I DID. Several times. 5. They up sell nonstop and it's offensive at this point. The past two times I've come, the same lady has tried to upsell me on my eyebrows. The first time, I gave her a pass because I did need my brows done but I get them threaded not waxed and AVNS does not offer threading. On my last visit, she asked again if I wanted my eyebrows done. They were already done and it was obvious! If you're gonna upsell at least make it less obvious by offering a service I'd actually need. It's like she memorized things to offer without stopping to think "does this person need this service?" 6. Pedicures run short. The minute you dip one foot in the other is coming out. There's no time to even soften the skin on your feet to make the dead skin come off easier. The tech rushed through the entire thing and my toes were streaky! It looked like I painted them at home. 7. No guarantee cards anymore. On my last visit I never received a guarantee card. I'm already noticing issues with my nails after just 72 hours but I don't have a card saying who do my nails and when. 8. Full set quality has deteriorated tremendously. On my first few visits I could go 3 weeks before getting a fill with no broken nails or noticeable lifting. Now, I'm at 2 weeks before needing a fill and by then a few nails have already popped off. In addition to this, They carelessly drill over your cuticles when prepping the nail bed which screws up your skin a day or two later. It's not noticeable the day of your service but after a few days, the cracks and creases set in and dry skin peels off. The edges of the acrylic are also not neat and have a white ring around them. I'm 3 days into my full set and I'm seeing lifting around the edges and white spots where the tips were applied. She also put the tips too far down on my nail bed because "it'll look better when you come back for a fill" I want them to look good now AND later. Unfortunately, the cuticle issue and the tips being applies too far down issue are not something I could've asked her to fix while I was there, so again management, do not respond with that statement to absolve yourselves of responsibility and put the blame on the customer for not speaking up. read more

When I went it it looked very nice however it wasn't very friendly. The nail tech I had told me I could not get regular nail polish and that it had to be gel. I wasn't too upset until we started and they did not have any coco brown colors. The first color was almost burnt orange then I asked if I can have a darker brown. The nail tech seemed a bit upset that I didn't want that color so I explained that I never get my nails done and I want it to be good. He was also texting while he was doing my nails which is fine but he kept doing it. It was an ok experience overall. No washing hands, no lotion, nothing special just did my nails. The most pressure I have ever felt in a nail salon. I like regular polish because I do not like the process to remove gel/powder. I was told over and over gel is better. I know that. I had to tell them 6 times I wanted regular polish and was then pressured to get the extra spa manicure and extra massage. Sounded nice and it was but I will never again step foot in here because the whole thing was $104. Once I got out in the sunlight I realized my finger nails looked like my son painted them. The massage was great but my polish peeled the very next day of two fingers. When I went there numerous times before they gave me mimosas chilled and perfect. This time nothing and paid $43 dollars more. I will go elsewhere from now on. I have no interest in making it right or hearing "it's because you got regular polish". I just won't return. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews but I am pretty disappointed with my experience and want to save someone else from making the same mistake. I went in for a full set and the first red flag was how aggressive the lady removing my old set was. She was very friendly but I had to yelp before she realized she was almost ripping off my thumb nail off. My nails did not look great the whole time but I just kept telling myself to trust the process and she would fix the things I was seeing. I mentioned multiple things to her that didn't look great and she halfway fixed them. When she was finished my nails looked like a child did them. They're lumpy and some of the nails are longer than others. Definitely disappointed I spent $75 on this set. Would definitely recommend going to La Vie before ever going to this place. read more

However, the service leaves much to be desired. Last Friday I had a mani/pedi and the male technician cut my left foot in 4 places. I went back today (Wedns) because my foot is still hurting and I'm worried about infection. I wanted to tell them what happened and was hoping they would offer a refund. They didn't. The person I talked to wanted to know the name of the tech and I didn't know it. He was defensive and sort of laughed at me, despite the fact that I was non confrontational and pleasant. She was very personable and talked to me as another person not even knowing if I would be giving another tip after yesterday. My go to nail spot. I strongly recommend Eunyi, if you can get in to see her she is definitely worth it! She makes sure the polish or dipping powder is set as far back on the nail as possible to make it last as long as possible. I go every 3 weeks and they still look good by the time I get in there! She's very personable and loves to get to know you as a friend and not just a client. I look forward to seeing her every time I'm in. Make sure to take cash tips, they don't accept tips through the credit card machine. To avoid confusion make sure to hand the tip directly to your technician. Extremely clean, beautiful atmosphere and it actually smells good in there and not like filed down nails. Lol. Prices are equivalent to other basic nail salons, a couple services may be a couple bucks more, but I'm willing to pay it for the all around amazing experience all 3 of us had. Hello Ashley. Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry your team at your location misinformed you of exactly what transpired but I am happy to give you a little more clarity. The manager told me no one was available to fix my nails and offered to fix two nails herself but all nails had bubbles and/or dust in the polish from nail dust. The gel needed to be fully removed and reapplied. The manger was trying to take the cheap and quick way out. This manicure needed more than a band-aid to save it. The nail tech who was assigned to me was removing the gel with a nail filer and was thinning my nail. I asked her why she was removing it that way and she did not understand what I was asking. I asked her to stop because my nails started to hurt from how much she was filing. At this point the manager did nothing, said nothing, and attended other guests although she told me no one was available to fix my manicure. Perhaps the tech needs to be trained on how to apply and remove gel. I was NOT charged because there is no way you could charge me and allow me to walk out like that. Even if you did charge me, I would not have paid you for unsatisfactory and incomplete work. The tech and manager both need customer service training. The manager and tech had an attitude and were speaking in their native language which I do not speak or understand and made me feel uncomfortable. Circle back with your team and revisit their side of the story. I went to Walmart, bought 100% acetone and removed the gel myself at home. Instead of replying with a rebuttal, make an attempt to satisfy your customer. Yelp readers will read your petty reply and draw their own conclusions. Lee consistently does a fantastic job on my nails and always makes sure I am happy with them throughout the process and before I walk out the door. He is able to do a dip manicure that is very thin while still being sturdy and has done a number different styles for me. I have only had to use the 10 day guarantee once( my fault not his!) and I was able to get the nail fixed quickly and easily for free. The gorgeous, relaxing setting definitely doesn't hurt either. I don't typically do this but today I felt like I needed to. I have been coming to Anthony Vince for the past 3-4 years. I haven't been in a few months, but prior to that I was coming every three weeks. Today I went and I was told 10 to 15 minute wait and I waited 45 minutes. Then the woman who did my nails was very rude and only spent 15 maybe 20 minutes on my nails including five minutes dry time. She was flinging my hand around and rushing to get to the next person. I decided to do something different and get each nail a different color. After she had already started on my nails she told me it would be a $10 upcharge for doing different colors (even though it truly was no more work). Typically when getting dip nails, they don't do the entire manicure but every time I have been in the past they use the machine and get your cuticles in good shape, today she did none of that. My actual nails look good, but I'm very frustrated with the experience. Also she didn't clean up my nails or fingers AT ALL, so they look like crap as a whole. I am going to have to scrub off all the extras that she did not do. Also while I was there, a woman was getting her bowl filled for a pedicure and it started overflowing and the water got all over the floor. I have attached pictures of my nails to show the mess she left. I paid $60 for 15-20 min of RUDE service & still left like this. This is ridiculous. I have never gotten a service done or gone to a restaurant and NOT tipped until today. I went with a friend to try this salon. I did not look at the reviews in advance and I really wish I had. I made an appointment for my friend and I several days in advance. I booked for their opening time. When we arrived someone greeted us and tells us to pick a color. After we did we ended up waiting 5 to 10 mins until they came back and acted like we were the ones holding things up even though we had ended up sitting down to wait after picking our colors because no one was upfront anymore. When we go to sit there was only one tech with us. She had my foot soak ready but not my friends. She said the workers are normally 5 to 15 mins late for opening. I understand that we are all late sometimes but it seemed to just be a completely normal thing. The place was not very clean.
