I don't usually get my toe nails done because I have hideous feet & don't know what the different nail polishes are. The lady who did my nails, Sophia, was so kind & didn't rush. They were cleaning up & closing while I was still there at around 7:45 which is understandable. I apologized like 20 times but she kept telling me it's fine & did everything at a normal pace. Other employees were leaving and telling her bye but she was so nice. I was embarrassed & felt horrible. My nails turned out great! My recent visit to the Anthony Vince Nail Spa, in Pearland was not as pleasant as I would have liked it to be. When I arrived for my appointment on 8/28 - the receptionist barely spoke or said hello and one of them just stared at me, without speaking. I was told that my acrylic fill would be $35, I used the same color, and this is the same set from 2 weeks ago, when I visited the same Anthon Vince Nail Spa in Pearland, TX. The tech was okay and serviced me quickly, however, when it came for check out, I was charged $42. I asked why was this higher than quoted? The receptionist tried to find the tech, Helen, but she mysteriously disappeared! After waiting and asking if the manager was there, I just paid the $42 and left. One thing I noticed, all the patrons were Black women - yet, these tech have hatred and disdain for Blacks, look for ways to cheat their Black customers, while benefiting from their Black customers. My set came out so clean. Anthony Vince has an extensive collection of colors to choose from. They do have a bar so you can sip on a nice alcoholic beverage while you enjoy your pampering. I first came here because of a GC I received for my birthday and my first experience was so good that I came back. I like that they are familiar with the dip top coat instead of the shellac coat that used the UV light, as that is being linked to skin cancer. Yet, this time, my dipped nails only lasted for 10days before chipping. Moreover, I wasn't able to stop in to have them fixed until day 12. I was informed by the very nice and respectful guy at the front desk that they only guarantee there dipped nails for 1wk. I told him I had been to several other nail shops and the general rule has always been 2wks...I mean who has the time to come get their nails done weekly? He agreed to fix them this time and actually did an amazing job. Although, I really like this place, I don't have the patience or money to waste on my nails weekly when they normally last up to 3wks. I have been coming for while since moving to the Pearland. I have always had a great experience expect my last one, Michel, the male tech did my pedicure and was very rough. He burnt my skin while filing my toe nails with the nail file machine, he refused to listen to the shapes/styles I wanted for my pedicure. This place looked so nice and I was excited about this place but I'm really really sorry I have to leave a not so great review. So I literally got an Uber from the airport to this place with my suitcase in hand. I had a long layover in my way to Dallas. So I was promptly greeted and checked in. To the left is a bar with water coffee and alcoholic drinks. Super clean and no Chemical smell They have probably every color you could think of to choose from. The decor gives me Italian villa the murals on the water the brightness the colors everything was so nice and chic you can't help but feel relaxed. So I chose the pedicure and hard gel fill. I didn't have time to get the big pedicure but I got middle priced one with gel polish. Now I forget the technician name but she was very nice and gentle. She absolutely took her time. I was offered a drink - I got a margarita I was happy lol NOW this is where my experience absolutely goes down hill. This lady an older women with glasses comes up doesn't introduce herself , seems annoyed tired hungry or a combination of the two asks me what I want. Now , at that point with this introduction alone , I should have told her to beat it based on her attitude but I didn't. I proceed to ask her who she was and she softened a bit. I tell her what I want and the color , now I'm tired I close my eyes - I just need a gel fill in she drills all them off and give a new set it wasn't that old. Ok whatever. I wanted to two designs as well. So my pedicure is done we go to this mean lady's station. I just don't like her demeanor - I had a crack in my mail and I ask her do I need glue or should you cut it and put an acrylic nail so it won't split later. She replies " NO" . I ex on the designs I just want her to hurry up. I got a sparkle color and at first it was see through I don't like it like that she rolls her eyes and stayed in an annoyed toned " give me a chance to finish I put one two three coats. I tell her to to calm down and watch her tone with me . She apologizes: now I respect people that give me a service but don't play with me. She tries to talk but I just tell her to just hurry up and finish. So I finish for both $150. I get to my hotel and a few hours later guess what nail breaks in half exactly where I told her about the crack in my natural nail!!!! Bingo the same nail I mentioned to her. I was furious. I should have said something at the check out counter when they said how was the service. I have a 6 am flight. I can't have them fix it so im on the way to a conference with 9 damn nails. Which I had to get redone anyway. Idk why my luck was so bad with this lady but no complaints anywhere else in that salon. Everyone else seemed so professional and nice and patient. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the service I received yesterday! Win did an amazing job even with my guard up, my nails turned out perfect. I do feel like he was just a tad bit rough on my cuticles and the sides of my nail bed. I have a few cuts waking up today but other than that, he did a great job. The best part of the experience was not the nail service, but the bar service! This place is suuuuper pricey but i love the way my nails looks afterwards. I really like Harley! She does a great job with dipping my nails. She's quick and very good at what she does. I showed her a photo and she got it perfect. I loved the end result. I also like coming here to get my eyebrows waxed. They don't try to make them super thin like some places. She I ask them to just clean them up they do exactly like I asked. They also don't ask "lip too?". I can't stand when they ask that! Even when wearing a mask, some places will ask that. I'm like how do you even know??! I know they're trying to up sell but it's rude. So, I'm glad the techs here never ask. The place itself is super clean and all the techs are super nice and friendly. A very solid 4. Had a better massages been given with my mani pedi I would have definitely rated 5! Great experience with my 2 friends. We were able to sit and hang out until our nails dried (we arrived at 6:30 and left at 8:30 when they were finishing up the last client. My favorite nail spa! I've been going here even before COVID happened & I'm not shocked at how well they've accommodated to all COVID precautions. The environment & staff is very friendly & clean. I always book beforehand through their website & they have fast responses most of the time. I'm always being greeted once I walk in & am instructed to scan a QR link to fill out a questionnaire, temperature check, & instructed to wash my hands prior to starting any services. My go-to nail tech is Andy for my dip sets! Him & Harley are extremely talented! Y'all should check out their work on Instagram & book with them! I came in at around 330 wanting a pedicure and fill and was waiting then I realized I forgot to stop somewhere that closed at 5 so I told the receptionist and was told that she'd set me up for an appointment at 4. Cool. I come back and I'm told to wait about 10 mins because the lady that was going to do my nails needed to take her lunch break. Mmkayyy cool. I was okay with waiting. After about 10 mins, the receptionist asked if I wanted a drink then sat me at the pedicure area. By now it's about 430 ish so I sit over there for a whileeee until I decide I'm just going to go because I've been waiting so long. I love, love this nail salon! It's not only beautiful with a relaxing ambiance, but the service here is also outstanding and unlike any place I have ever been to! And I have been to a lot of nail salons! My husband and I were looking to get a mani/pedi and upon arrival, my husband and I were treated like VIP. We didn't even make reservations. Everyone was just so nice, sweet, courteous and accommodating! We were immediately seated in our comfortable massage chairs and offered a wide selection of beverages. This salon has a bar to serve alcoholic drinks too if you want! The salon itself and individual workstations were so clean. As a pregnant woman, I appreciate when a salon tries to minimize exposure to odors and vapors. All their tools are disinfected in sterile packs, which is very important to me and an aspect I highly prioritize. I got a simple gel manicure and pedicure and they both came out great. My gel manicure was not thick at all and I even received these amazing collagen mask gloves to deeply moisturize my hands before I was given a relaxing hand massage. It felt so nice to be this pampered and I have to say the collagen changed the texture of my hands! Everyone here was so quick and efficient that we were in and out in about a little over an hour. I have never had these areas scrubbed as vigorously as this time, or at all really, since it's a particularly soft and sensitive part of the foot. I have been in a wheelchair for over a month so I know there were not calluses to warrant the intense scrubbing other than the lady not paying attention (I noticed she was watching the TV while doing this). I am extremely disappointed with the way my manicure came out, the lady I had was ok. But I am not satisfied whatsoever, my nails are lumpy, and I asked for almond shape and they were still square, originally I wanted only the tips painted, but did not like the way it looked when she attempted the first time, so I gave up and told her to just paint my nails entirely, even that was done poorly. I called to make an appointment (same day) and I was accommodated (awesome right) WRONG, my child and I were not seated until 20- 30 minutes after our appointment time. Theeennnn, the technician, I'm assuming she is the manager of the place because she kept getting up to check on the front desk in the middle of what is suppose to be a spa manicure. At one point I had to stop her from getting up while I expressed how rush I felt. Of course she apologized but that is not enough for me. My 6 year old daughter was treated 100% better than I was. My pedicure water was completely cold! The nail tech was very rough while taking my gel polish off my toes! I was suppose to get a manicure but I refused to spend any more money here. Someone mentioned in a previous review, they have you sanitize your hands and take temperatures upon arrival but honey that was not the case today. We were not even greeted immediately. I requested a muted peach color and the actual color was more of a bright orange color - neon-ish and loud. Second, they charged an extra $5 for the nail and an extra $5 for my coffin shape, but they charged another $5 for the length! That's absurd.
