I happened upon Anthony and his defensive and aggressive attitude by chance. Supposedly, he had replaced said woman's alternator and battery that weekend. The woman pulled in front of the local coffee shop and her car died. I offered to look at her battery just as Anthony was pulling up. I listened to him tell this woman, her battery died due to the "cold temperatures" at night. Mind you, it was into the 40s at night. When I said kindly, "I don't think it's been cold enough to drain a battery." He snapped back "you'd know because you work at the coffee shop?" (Which I don't work there). He also pointed his finger in my face, telling me to mind my own business and he "didn't come down to help the woman to deal with me." He was making such a spectacle that patrons from the coffee shop came out. Know who you're dealing with... a scammer with anger issues. The value appears not worth it as this woman said she paid $1,000 for this service only to have her car die down the road. Ps. Warning get a written estimate. These guys like to pull a scam, the mechanic will quote you a price and when the bill is many times higher the owner says the mechanic is not qualified to give a price on work. Took my truck in for a water pump in April, estimate $860. After hearing nothing for 2 weeks called to check. They asked me to come in asap. Mechanic showed me several parts that were broken "rusted almost through" new estimate $2400. A few more weeks and another call... "we were about to call you, a bracket broke and we can not find a replacement but there is a partial engine available for $550 we can scavenge the part from" new estimate $2950. I asked if the part could be repaired. Big mistake... every time I called "so and so could not do it so we sent it to wherever" 5 months later "you need to buy an engine so we can get the part" new estimate $4300. Stay away from this place. They looked at my car, said they would do the work and start in an hour or two. 26 hours later they hadn't even started!! When I asked the owner what was going on he got extremely defensive and started telling me how much work he had to do before mine. Well, if that's the way it was why not tell me they didn't have time to work on mine in the first place. He wasted all my time that I could have taken it elsewhere. Stay far away from this garage. They looked at my car, and were wrong in their assessment of my car, then overcharged me. Further, when I asked the owner simple questions, he got extremely defensive and angry. The owner's coworker just stares at you like he wants to beat you up, while the owner watches. Don't waste your time with them, they are not only dishonest, but they have a horrible negative attitude. They are bullies and thugs. Go somewhere that is ASE Certified. read more
