I first brought my 2007 F250 to Spencers in Florence on 4/28/26 for issues with my air conditioner and a whistle coming from the engine area. Basically they did a flush of the AC, got billed $732 and sent me a service report indicating that I had an exhaust leak which I promptly made an appointment to get fixed that was completed on 5/21 and paid $1770.59. I got it back and the truck still had a significant whistle and the AC still was not working. They then said my clutch was gone and that is what was causing the whistle. So on June 3rd I had the clutch replaced so another $3100. When I got it back they said the truck would make some noise with the new clutch, after driving it realized the whistle was even worse and I had lots of noise in the cab. Come to find out when they replaced the clutch they did not reattach the rubber boot to the floorboard. I emailed the manager, called the manager but never received a call back so I made another appointment for the AC and to have the boot reattached. So on June 19th they recharged the AC and drilled 2 new holes and "attempted" to secure the rubber boot to the floor board and told me that my transmission was going out. After 2 days it was back to being loud, I went ahead and order a new rubber boot and the hardware to replace what they didn't fix correctly. I am now out almost $6000 and my truck STILL has a whistle, the AC only works when I'm moving and I had to purchase and fix a new rubber boot for the gearshifter myself. I previously had used Spencers on Combs and never had any issues until I switched to the Florence location. I would be very hesitant to use that location as they don't finish their work and/or leave things undone so you'll have to bring it back and spend more money. I never should have been charged for the last visit on 6/19 as they should have recharged the AC when I brought it in originally in April and they should have reattached the boot CORRECTLY instead of half assing it before giving it back to me. read more

Prompt, honest and everything done in a timely manner. Full inspection with an oil change, with pictures and measurements. Also had to have air conditioner worked on and they communicated well on date they were picking the part up and when they could do the work. Everything went as promised and the air is working great! We will be using them for all of our auto need from here forward. read more

My daughter and I were traveling through Arizona and our battery cable kept coming loose, causing the car to not start every time we stopped. He immediately got us in and ended up. Just tightening it in a few minutes and got us on our way. Didn't even charge us very professional shop. read more

My husband and I brought in a Civic Si for an alignment. We had to bring it in today for a second time because it was still uncentered. Before even bringing the vehicle in the first time, we advised them that the car had been modified and if it would still be possible to work on. They had advised us it wouldn't be an issue so long as the car fit on the lift. After bringing it in a 2nd time, the car is STILL is not aligned correctly. The advice we were given was to take it into a specialty shop because they "don't work on specialty vehicles" and "there are underlying issues" (which their technician could not tell us exactly what that could be). If you cannot work on a vehicle WHY lie you your customer and still do it even after they already told you it's modified--then don't do it! We are not new to this, my husband is a technician in the same environment and knows that if he can't do it, they won't fulfill the service unless the customer knows it would be a risk and asks anyway! Anything further is dishonest business. We were given no compensation or recourse. --But if you want a shop who's nice and has a good greeting but isn't honest about fulfillment or completion, this would be your pick. read more

These people were wonderful today! I live in Magic Ranch & was on my way to work, when I realized I had a flat tire. Not wanting to drive it any further, I thought I would stop here to see if they could help. Help they did, they took off the flat tire & replaced it with the spare, so I could get to work. I brought my car in for an oil change and check engine issue. When they completed the oil change I was told that the check engine light was a faulty catalytic converter. Since it was under warranty it would be no cost to get a new one. The manager mention that the distributor of the faulty converter went out of business and they would have get it from someone else. They did a free inspection and saw other issues that needed fixes and were very accurate about it (I already knew about most of the issues). They had good prices for the repair quotes. I recently called the Florence location to get a quote on a transmission for my vehicle. As my factory warranty is out, I didn't want to go to the dealer to get it replaced due to outlandish prices. I was traveling to Texas to see my family, and my 2014 Durango started over heating. I was in AZ at the time and stopped by. I spoke with Ken, and he was very knowledgeable and professional while also assisting me with my concerns. The advice and assistance was greatly appreciated and although most repair shops seem to pressure you, Ken seemed legitimately concerned with vehicle and laid out all the options. Ever since this location changed staff or ownership it has gone downhill. Made an appointment for an oil change on my service truck. When I arrived all staff was outside on a smoke break (which I understand everyone deserves a break), dropped off the truck and was told they would get right on it as I requested, since no truck means I am unable to work. Went back the location almost 2 hours later, and much to my surprise the truck hadn't moved and all the staff was outside on a smoke break AGAIN. So I took my vehicle and left. This place is very close to my house so I thought I'd give them a second chance a couple months later. Disappointed again! Called to schedule an oil change appointment, told them I had a 2022 F-450 Dully, I wanted to ensure they had the equipment and it would fit in their service bays...I was assured it would be no problem. Got a call the truck was done, went into the office and was told the vehicle weighed too much to go on their racks (which is incorrect). The tech proceeded to give me attitude since he was inconvenienced by his lack of knowledge. There are plenty of other places to give your business, with friendlier and more knowledgeable staff. read more

Terrible service. Dishonest and poor workmanship. Charged for replacement of parts they didn't replace. Left dirty prints on areas of engine, didn't clean ANYTHING they worked on. The owner was awesome and reached out to apologize for the inconvenience. Honest people, thank you.** I had a VW beetle and had brought it here for an oil change once before. So they knew my car, knew what they could do. I was told that after so many miles I should get my transmission flushed, Spencer's Auto even set up an appointment and quoted me to do the service. When I showed up the day of the appointment they took three hours to do an oil change and replace a cabin air filter then told me that they didn't have the equipment for my transmission flush. This was after they had already done work, so I couldn't take my business elsewhere. They quoted me a price for the whole thing and didn't even have the equipment to do it but didn't bother telling me until after some work was done. I signed up for some stupid card they provide so I could pay off the work as it was slightly expensive. It not only took a hit to my credit but i also was unable to use the card as my "new" balance was not enough. The card became invalid as they told me, but I could use it later if I needed to just not right at the moment. That is only with places that except that card as well. So now I am stuck at this auto repair shop that blatantly lied about the service they provide, and I didn't have enough to cover what the new balance was. I was stuck out there for a couple more hours. Thankfully they said that I could pay them back with my next check. Attached is my original quote. After they deducted the flush I still owed around 150 for an oil change and an air filter to be swapped. They gave me a small discount and I still owed around 120. That is the highest price I have ever been charged for an oil change and about a 30 minute job to replace an air filter. I feel I was robbed of my time and money, I'd say go elsewhere. read more

My 70+ year old mom who is on a fixed social security income and has 0 dollars leftover at the end of the month brought her 11 year old Kia Optima to Spencers with what she thought was a failed water pump. That would have been an extremely expensive repair because it's recommended to do a timing kit at the same time since youre that deep into the engine already!! Well Wil , being the honest and upstanding representative of Spencers that he is, informed her that it was the radiator NOT the water pump and the repair would only be around $700 !! Theres a lot of dishonest shops that would have taken her to the cleaners and rack up a huge repair bill and I thank Wil for not being that shop!! We had our 2003 Silverado in to see what it would cost to fix the problem with the air not blowing out the vents. We had already replaced the blend door actuator and that didn't help. After four hours, they told us the problem was the mode door actuator. They said the part was cheap but it would be 7 hours labor. This translates to about a thousand bucks. For an old truck, we didn't feel this was a good investment. On a whim, we called Chris and Mike at Mobile Auto Repair. They quoted us $90 plus the cost of the part. Plus they come TO YOU. Total cost of repair: $180. Glad I said no to the thousand dollar repair. What a scam. read more

Ok first and foremost.. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!!! I just left there and I have got to say that Jeff is forever going to be my go to guy.. My truck was sputtering when making left or right turns..from all the research I did.. It sounded like it was going to be the power steering pump or control arms.. I was ready for it to be an expensive fix.. Well I go to drop off the keys and leave it.. Jeff starts asking me questions and then he says before you leave lets go start it up. Well we do that.. Then he looks at me and says "your in 4x4 mode".. He takes it out of 4x4 and jumps out.. Tells me to take it for a spin.. Well by the time I got back to the shop 20 seconds later I was embarrassed that I didn't catch that.. But I was very glad I took it to someone honest!! He didn't charge me anything.. They were very nice and explained everything with prices that I needed done. They fixed my air conditioner in half the time and half the price quoted at a big chain store. I have officially learned my lesson the hard way. Geoff and Brittany are in the business of being honest and fair, which is RARE in a mechanic. Like a moron, I took my car somewhere else for a new rack and pinion only to get screwed majorly and live to regret not just taking it to Geoff. Every time I have taken my car to them, they've worked very hard to not only find the problem but let you know of other problems. Their communication and customer service are top notch. If you know of one problem but this one problem causes three other problems, they will call you and tell you about it to see what you want to do. The work is superior to any mechanic I have found and they really stand behind it. Every time I leave their shop, I feel like I'm driving a brand new car. After this experience of trying to take it elsewhere, it is a lesson learned: All car repairs need to go through Geoff first. Note: The shop is a little hard to find and Google Maps will lead you in a weird direction. It's on the right side of Contractor's Road. But it's worth the hassle to get there.
