The great reviews I found here don't match my experience. Before bringing my car in I made sure that it would only take a week as I needed it and could have delayed bringing it in if not. Ended up taking 3 weeks and the only way i would get updates was by calling in myself. Huge price difference between going through insurance or not. Looking at the quote I got one of the reasons is that they significantly overcharge parts and I guess the insurance company will not let them do that. It's really stupid to do that given that these days anyone can easily find and buy OEM parts online, so we all know how much a part costs and it's insulting to see them doubling that value shamelessly. They did fix the dents and scratches nicely, but my car came back with other areas damaged. I'm pretty sure it was accidental, but getting my car back from a body shop with high prices with damage that wasn't there is just absurd. I have had my cars repaired at Anthony's a number of times and have never been disappointed. The quality of work is excellent and the timing of the repairs has always been as promised. In addition, they are very reputable. I recently took my Porsche there to get an estimate to repair a sizable scratch. After they looked at it, they asked me to wait in their office while they attempted to rub out the scratch. They did so and the car looked perfect. Further, there was no charge for the work. I hardly write reviews. But this auto body repair shop deserves my time to post a review. Tino is pleasant, professional, and very helpful. Everyone I encountered greeted warmly and genuinely as I walked in from shop workers to the admin staff. Everyone was extremely nice, professional, and helpful. I came in to see if I can get some paint for a nick from a small fender bender in my bumper. Tino came out, took pictures, and set to email an estimate within the day. I asked if I they could mix to match and I could buy the paint from them. Tino said they don't do this but asked me to wait a bit to see what he can do. Short minutes later, Tino came out with a fellow shop person and said they'd mix the paint for me. Tino came back and applied the paint to cover the scratches . To my surprise, Tino gifted me the paint and sent me on my way. This is exceptional exceptional service I haven't encountered at any type of car repair service. I highly recommend Anthony's Auto Craft and I would definitely drive even if it takes 1 hour out to get there. Sean helped me all the time as well as the rest of the team through out my journey because it really sucks how long the wait is to get parts for a Tesla. Unbelievable horrible service by this company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Someone please teach this boys club how to appropriately speak with a customer. Just got off the phone with Todd (a manager) and even he proceeded to speak over me while I explained the situation. Wonderful, a manager that makes excuses for the shortcomings and outright disrespectful behavior of their staff. After having my car for a month and getting the run around it's finally ready, now I've had to call them to arrange a pick up as well! Whoever is the owner of this shop, you really need to take a hard look at the way your staff speaks to and treats women vs men. There is a notable double standard and unfortunately for them this time, they happened to get a woman who knows her way around a car and therefore knows when she's being treated poorly by an auto shop. Here it goes: Bring the car in (Mercedes) after Mercedes recommendation and the appointment and drop off process was seamless, excellent. Was told the car would be ready by the end of the week, it wasn't, no big deal I set on picking it up the following week. They didn't finish it up until the Friday of that next week so I set to pick it up the week after. I go out there and take a look at the car and there is a clip hanging off of the bumper where the bumper wasn't aligned properly upon reinstallation and a dented fused bit underneath that was shoddily repaired. I have the guy come out and take a look and he agrees and says "I'm not sure why they didn't fix that, that's not right" he asks me to leave the car so they can do the repair properly, I oblige. Later I get a call from Sean saying he wasn't paid to fix that part so I should be lucky and thankful that he attempted it. Are you kidding me?? If you're not paid to fix it, don't touch it! I have no problem dealing with my insurance. Definitely don't half ass a repair and then make it seem like you're doing me some big favor. Hah! I get it sorted with the insurance company and they cover the cost of a whole new bumper so then begins the wait for a part. Over the course of at least two weeks I'm told every other day that the car would be ready "tomorrow" until finally even one of their own staff had grown tired of the run around too and 'assured me he would call me back while he went on a hunt to actually lay eyes on the bumper'. Car is finally done after what I estimate to be at least 4 weeks and now I'm waiting for a call back from some manager to discuss this nightmare. read more

I had an issue months later after the work was completed with my '04 Rover front right turn signal assembly, so I took it back to Anthony's and they repaired it no questions asked. outstanding work and service. first thing you'll notice is the large number of nice exotic cars--ferraris, lambos, etc. it's a giveaway that people entrust their treasured vehicles with the work here. mine was a simple job but it was done flawlessly. my tesla model 3 had some minor body damage after a break in. even though it's only a few months old, they brought it back to showroom condition. new panels lined up just as well as they did off the dealer lot. anthony's worked with the insurance adjuster very efficiently. the front desk was courteous, intelligent and highly competent. the communication within their shop is great, and i felt the ball was never dropped. they are an official tesla sponsored shop and can order the OEM parts. read more

I had some work done on my Tesla Model 3. They did a good job fixing the damage, but they left a whole bunch of polish scratch marks on my new paint. Luckily my detailer that added the Ceramic Pro coating pointed it out to me and was able to correct the paint before applying the coating. While Anthony's is busy, they should take better care with their paint work, especially when Tesla recommends them to their customers for body work. read more

SNOB FACTOR: 5 STARS. I'm a recent University of San Diego grad who just moved to Marin. My car is a 2012 nissan altima with low milage with a salvage title. Unfortunately, it was involved in a hit run accident about a month ago, luckily we held the culprit's insurance responsible. My Nissan had no damage on it other than wear-and-tear from the two years of me having it. i did not seek this place out, they were recommend by the towing company. Huge mistake: I had to deal with a mechanic named SEAN/SHAWN. The first time we had the displeasure of conversing over the phone, he kept throwing the salvage title of my car in my face degrading the work of the previous mechanic. The salvage title was never brought up in San Diego by my local mechanic shop when I brought it for a change of battery, tires and oil change before I drove up in it from San Diego. He kept cutting me off during our conversation and didn't let me speak. The second time, he was immensely rude, saying that the car was in non operational order, that "it was wasting his time" (not me, his client, for bringing it to this elitist place in the first place). He also said "he would never put his name on the work" and finally that he wasn't "going to bother writing up" the things it needed to get it done and to get it out of there, like he owns the place. Later, when we got the settlement, he kept contradicting himself with jargon "the car is is still drivable, and you can find a mechanic that will throw a bumper on it, but I won't, was the gist of his rant. After two unpleasant phone conversations, we insisted on a write-up which he never emailed. Definitely the worst customer service I've had from a mechanic shop, and I can't believe a mechanic took that tone with a client, this isn't hundreds of dollars worth of damage done by the hit-and-run. My advice: this place might (and I use that world as lightly as I can) be worth it if you have a beamer or benz, but for the rest of us, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. You're better off where the mechanics are down to earth and actually listen to what you have to say read more

I brought my boss's car here to get the front and rear bumper repainted. Anthony's said the car would be ready by Wed afternoon. I told him that works great because I could pick it up and then drop it off to RAB motors for a 10 am appt on Thurs for some minor repairs. He kindly offered to drop it off at RAB Motors instead, no problem. Cool...perfect, that sounds great! Well I get a call from Anthony's at 11 am on Thurs telling me they are still waiting on a part of the bumper and it will take another week. WHAT? I was thinking he's calling to tell me the car has just been dropped off at RAB. This place just gets better and better! Over the years I have brought my cars in for minor repairs like dings on the bumpers and fender benders. My needs have always been addressed professionally and in a friendly manner by the staff. The other day I noticed the rear deck lid on my Prius would not stay shut. The little bell and flashing red light was driving me crazy. I stopped in to Anthony's with no appointment. There were cars ahead of me all over the place, including Ferraris and a mangled Lotus. The service advisor acknowledged me and promptly listened to my problem. He asked a mechanic to take a look and lo and behold, the problem was a missing bolt on the lock mechanism that had vibrated loose. The mechanic put a new bolt in place and I was good to go in five minutes. I recommend Anthony's Auto Craft to anyone who wants to be treated respectfully and given good service. Ferrari F430 coupe. Respray of front hood and fenders. Removal, extensive modification and respray of rear bumper to accommodate challenge grill, replacement of carbon diffuser. Todd handled everything from start to finish. He even handled the return of a substandard part I had ordered separately and managed to get a refund I probably wouldn't have got myself. Probably one of the more professional and well run businesses I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.My wife damaged the side of her new lexus last year in a parking mishap and they did a fantastic job matching the paint and fixing the dents.I do not even notice that it was ever in a accident. Recently my dad had a mishap with not putting my older 2003 accord in park and it ended up with a smashed door and scratches on the side and of course I did not look at any other autobody places and they did not let me down.They did such a good job that my drivers side now looks brand new and they even removed a few door dings without being asked.The car looks great door opens perfectly. The staff was nice and prompt each time I arrived and they seem to work on all levels of vehicles but they seem to specialize in high end.If your car get damaged this is the place to go if you want it to look the way it did before. Hopefully I wont have to go back to them for a long time but I would never look for another auto body place again. read more

ASTOUNDING SERVICE-Last Sunday afternoon I noticed significant (inches of) water accumulation in the trunk of my vehicle. I have used Anthony's in the past so I reached out at 7:00 AM on Monday morning to make an appointment and they scheduled an appointment for 7:15 AM! Anthony's had done body work on the vehicle and I wanted to rule out association between the water leak and the repair work. The technicians ran diagnostics to determine the source of the leak and identified a plugged drain, not near the repair site, had caused the water to FLOW into the trunk. Anthony's repaired the plugged drain issue and dried out the trunk. When I picked up the vehicle there was NO CHARGE, not even a charge for labor! ASTOUNDING SERVICE. Also, I dropped off a car filthy from the weekend long rain/wind storm. When I picked up my vehicle it was SPARKLING CLEAN, including the rims and tires. Amazing! My vehicle was involved in a very bad accident and I never expected it would ever be the same. I had called the local Mercedes dealership, RAB Motors, and they referred me to Anthonys Auto Craft who are Mercedes Benz certified. I called the shop and they had set up the vehicle to be towed to there facility. When I arrived the office staff helped me with my personal items and even had one of there Mercedes rental cars waiting for me. The insurance company had come out a couple of days later and had written an estimate to repair my vehicle.They informed me that Anthonys was not a preferred shop for them but by California state law I could have my vehicle repaired wherever I would like. The insurance estimate was quite low and I was afraid they were trying to cut some corners on repairs. The estimator at Anthonys assured me that they would handle everything and the insurance company. Well a couple of weeks later my baby was perfect and the shop and the insurance company were in agreement with all repairs performed. I have used other shops over the years but they pale in comparison. I would recommend Anthonys Auto Craft to anyone that needs repairs to there vehicle. Snobby and dismissive. Took my pristine Ford Country Squire there today and the estimator started shaking his head 5 feet away, telling me they could never find the woodgrain material for the sides. I found the material online from two auto restoration sources later that day. Took me about 5 minutes. Now a competing shop has my business (oh, yeah, they were also able to find the woodgrain material). I now know that you don't go to Anthony's without a Porsche or M-B or a BMW Z8 like the friend I recently sent there. Won't be doing that again. This place is over priced and does mediocre work at best. Brought my expensive car in to be fixed and it looks like a bad job! The car was not put back together properly, I've had to take it back several times and point out issues to be fixed. I have an older BMW I cherish and take immaculate care. Believing that because Anthony's does supercars they would show similar attention to my little BMW was a mistake. car came back with numerous bumper dings poorly touched up, kept over weekend (due Friday) and nothing particularly exceptional about the body work. It's never fun to need body work on your car. But if you do, Anthony's is the place to go. The first thing you notice is the number of Mercedes, BMW's, Maserati's, etc. in their lot for repair. They are approved by MBUSA as an offical auto body repair shop. Now, I don't drive any of these cars, but they use the same commitment to detail, excellence in working on my Acura, as they do the high priced models. I have had 2 occasions to use them, and can say without hesisrarion that they are the best, most professional, top calss company. I highly recommend them, but I hope you never have a need to use them! read more

I think this company should be rated a tad higher. Only a few shops have the necessary equipment for a proper repair. Nearly none in the area have an integrated frame measuring and pulling bench that is essential in assessing damage. They also shoot Glausurit, which is top notch paint (up to 3x the $ of other brands). I personally experienced problems with insurance companies pushing for cheaper methods not recommended by the manufacturer. Ex. if you own a toyota, paintless dent repair is not recommended . I'd rather see a shop properly repair a vehicle than satisfy an insurance assessor. I must concede that shop has changed owners in recent years and that may explain the unacceptable customer service. I hope that they do take a lesson since they do excellent work. read more
