So sad to say this but we had such a bad experience just now that we will not be returning. We decided to order pizza for our favorite pizza place (Anthony's) and have it delivered. I used Uber Eats who delivered fairly quick. We open the food to see our breadsticks FAR from cooked. They were breaded but white as a ghost. And I was left to cook them. I informed Uber Eats but it's more a "quality issue" so get nothing to reimburse the fact that I had to cook them. My husband called Anthony's really just looking to inform them and was met with a rude female saying "contact Uber Eats". When he asked for a manager he was denied. He then was called back by the "owner of this location" and told that it is not their problem it's Uber Eats problem. All we needed was a "sorry, thank you for letting us know" but instead they left him with rudeness (oh and the "owner" hanging up on my husband twice). This has left us with an uneasy feeling and due to this will not be returning!! To add to it all, the pizza was delivered cold with basically no toppings or cheese. I walked into Anthony's Pizza off of Happy Canyon and was disgusted as soon as I walked in seeing one of the employees sitting on the counter where they prepare the pizza wearing shorts and playing on his phone. This place has the RUDEST staff ever! We ordered through door dash (as a pick up) and were quoted 40-45 min. When we arrived to pick it up, we were made to wait another 20 mins (so a little over an hour total). We failed to look at the pizza prior to leaving the restaurant and upon arriving home, realized the order was wrong. Travis (employee) was the point of contact at the castle rock location and challenged me personally on how long it took them to make the order. While he agreed to remake the pizza, he refused to refund our money (which I do understand since we ordered via door dash); however refused to accept that it took "more than 20 min to make" our order. My husband went back for the correct pizza, where Travis demanded to see screen shots for proof that it took over an hour for them to make our original order, and then advised my husband it would be another six mins for our new pizza. I'm actuality, Anthony's hadn't even started our new/correct order. Travis must get off on pissing people off. Obviously my husband got angry when he heard that they were going to make him wait even longer and challenged Travis on the new estimated time. Things escalated fast and Travis threw my husband out of Anthony's for getting upset (minus our original and corrected pizza order). We ordered from here for calzones tonight. We ended up picking up wings & slices of pizza as well. I have to say I was underwhelmed. Primarily because the calzones did not have ricotta cheese. Let's talk delivery times. My receipt shows a delivery window of 7:25pm. I placed the order at 6:29. We called at 7:51pm and we're told they were running behind and that a driver would return shortly and ours would go out. Mind you, we NEVER heard from them. They never reached out to say they were running behind or we would have gone and picked up the order. Called again at 8:18pm. Was told the driver just left. The pizza is ok but the pricing is a total rip off! 12" cheese pizza with a hand full of toppings at $1.80 each ( and I do mean a handful; I counted 10-small slivers of red onion for $1.80) was almost $28.00. When I checked out, there was a code for $3.00 off the order but of course it did not work and was ignored when the order was totaled. Asked about the discount when the pizza was picked up and was all but told the codes never work for a discount. The front staff have no idea how to find orders and their only priority is getting delivery drivers out the door. First time ordering and eating from here. Based on Google reciews I was weary of the lady who would take my order but she was very nice! They told me it'd be 45-60 minutes but it got here in 30, granted it was about 4pm on a Thursday. We ordered a white pizza, parmesan garlic wings, and a pasta dish I don't remember the name of. Everything was really good! I love the herb buttered bread they given with the pasta and I ESPECIALLY loved those parmesan garlic wings. I actually love the pizza that Anthony's makes, disappointed that the customer service is so bad that we will never order from them again. I've read the other reviews about rude staff, about how hard it is to find young people that have customer service skills, and while as a business owner I understand this can be true, my experience tonight was beyond anything that could be considered acceptable. Ordered a pizza online from Anthonys last night. BIG disappointment!! First off by the time I built out the pizza I wanted the total was $45.00. Then the online system told me it would arrive at 7:15 pm, ordered at 6pm on a Fri night so long wait expected. However I called at 7:30 to see where it may be at was told I was the next stop. Greasy, greasy, greasy! But oddly, not bad. The large pizzas are HUGE and the slices hang off the sides of your plate. It's the kind of slice you need to fold back over on to itself and eat like a sandwich. I usually favor the Hawaiian, but the plain ol' cheese did it for me at Anthony's. Simple. Greasy. Stretchy cheesy. Yum. They have this amazing soda fountain machine where you can mix a seemingly infinite amount of Coca-Cola soda combinations. My favorite combo was Vanilla Ginger Ale plus Peach Fanta. I'd go back for a slice of cheese pizza and sit there and play with the flavor combos of the fancy soda fountain. read more

This is a neighborhood spot that the kids enjoy riding their bikes to in the summer for a slice and a soda. The management is friendly and generous to the kids which I love! As far as dining in, we don't as a family as it is not an intimate spot, rather a bit chaotic on Friday and Saturday nights. We usually order delivery and allow at least an hour for the pizza to arrive!!! That said, the pizza is prepared in a New York style in that it is thinner crust and not overly loaded with toppings. I enjoy their green olive with tomato and onion...yummy! The kids like to keep it simple with pepperoni and extra sauce. We were on our way to Colorado Springs when it started to snow a little bit (OK, maybe in our OC minds we believed we were in a major snowstorm) so we figured we should get something to eat in case we got slowed by traffic (i.e. in case we got caught in the catastrophic blizzard). Our eyes lit up when we saw Anthony's because we had it the day before and it was delicious. This location was just as good as the 16th street one, if not more friendly (found out the server was a California transplant!). I got to try the Sicilian style for the first time and it was tasty, but I still preferred the regular NY style. We also tried some garlic bread and it was as good as expected. As strange as it may seem for the Colorado locals, Anthony's may be one of the spots that brings us back to Denver in the future (despite the crazy weather!). read more

The first time I been to Anthony's was just a month or so ago, and from what I experienced, the pizza is actually not that bad. Tonight, I have some of the cheesy garlic bread as well as some of the baked ziti. I will tell you to stick to the pizza. While I enjoyed the sausage that they put in the ziti, I was a little disappointed. When I think of Baked Ziti, I thing of pasta with some sauce, and baked until that cheese is crusty and bubbling. I would have to say that's not what I got. I got a bowl of noodles with some cheese that was either put under a salamandar or in the pizza oven for 2 minutes. In addition, the bottom of the bowl was super watery, must have been a 1/2 inch of water. I don't see that being from the sauce. Might need to have a training exercise so your people know how to properly cook pasta. As far as everything else, very friendly staff to my young kids, and overall the restuarant was so so for cleanliness. They also have one of the touch screen Coke dispensers if you are curious about fountain drinks. All in all, I give it a 3 star review.
