Anthony's is under a new name and it is not good. Very little main ingredients and almost zero cheese. We won't be back.

Pizza is greasy and expensive. I guess some people really love oily pizza, but I'm not one of them. Maybe it's the cheap cheese?

For dessert, I've only had their creme brûlée; but again, YUMMY. Drinks = They have a good variety of soda, beer, wine, italian sodas, etc. Service = The waiters are always friendly and accommodating. Extra condiments on request! :) The front desk is sometimes not 100% friendly, but that's probably because they're so BUSY. Ambience = The church side has awesome ambience, although it feels a tad cramped. But it's a pretty cool setting for an italian restaurant. The "pizza parlor" side feels more spacious but also more like a typical pizza restaurant. It's fine. Location/parking = Location's near downtown but has plenty of parking down the street. They are basically kings on their block -- not really any other parking competition nearby.

What a unique restaurant... inside a restored 1888 stone church. They kept the original stained glass windows, the choir loft & the confessional booth making this one of the most interesting restaurants. The dining area was cozy - not many tables & chairs. Our table was too small for four adults with bread, apps & dinner plates. However, our server was great, very attentive. Always near to clear plates, friendly & fast service. We started with bread & Italian salsa. The bread was good but the salsa was even better. It was fantastic & full of flavor. Next, for apps we had the Meatballs & Fried Calamari. The meatballs needed more seasoning & the sauce was bland. The calamari was rubbery & chewy. The Lemon Aioli that came with it was tasty. Our entrees were the Chicken Parm & the Crab Stuffed Shrimp with Linguine & Sauce. The portion sizes were big. The chicken was prepared nicely & was tender. The sauce unfortunately was bland. Same with the shrimp dish, it needed more seasoning, I didn't taste the crab & the lemon butter sauce had too much garlic for me. Perhaps our meal was a one off. Their menu is extensive & I will give them another try...the Lobster Ravioli sounds good. Note, on the other side of the restaurant is a pizzeria, called Slice Works, with a dining room & outdoor patio. I will try this as well.

Our food was good across the board but not great and that's not bad. The pricing is reasonable (outside of some drinks/cocktails) and the staff is friendly and responsive. The parking situation sucks but that's the nature of there they are (you will need to remember your license plate to give to the hostess when you walk in) There are a few good Italian choices in Castle rock and this is one of them for sure but I'm not sure it's our first choice. That being said, we will likely be back at some point.

Made a reservation as that's what is recommended on their social media. The bread with olive oil was not bad. Lightweight and not heavy. I decided on the Prince Edward Island Mussels because I've seen them posted on their social media. When they were served, a fishy smell wafted up to me. I don't like that smell. Not a good smell. The mussels themselves were ok. Lack of any taste, even in the sauce. I usually like dunking bread in the sauce but this one didn't taste that good. The server was friendly and very nice. As was the bus person who brought me water. However, I'm not sure I'd eat here again. The dishes are quite pricey. And this meal was meh. Cute place though.

I did not think I had to specify the small considering I was ordering an entree, and one would think the waiter would have asked me! Considering it was a Monday night with relatively very few tables, the timing of serving the entree after the salad was a bit long & timing between offering the check & picking up the credit card also long. The waiter was friendly and courteous, yet what was he doing? Basically disappointing & mediocre! Maybe I need to scratch this place from my list!

My wife and I each started with a glass of wine, and then even though we hadn't planned to get an appetizer, we decided to order a side of bread with oil. The bread was amazing! It was a large order, and both the consistency and flavor were fantastic. There were a few different dishes I was considering, including the halibut, but since this was our first visit, I decided to go with the chicken Marsala, which many on here have raved about. First, it was a big portion with two large chicken breasts. On a future visit, my wife and I could split an appetizer or salad and then one order of the chicken. Next, flavor of everything was wonderful. Unlike a typical Marsala, which can be very heavy and overpowering, this sauce was lighter...in color, consistency, and taste. It was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Asparagus and potatoes were delicious too. My wife got the ravioli with pesto, and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Service was warm, pleasant, there when we needed it, but not overpowering, exactly what you'd hope for and expect from a restaurant of this stature. Very happy we finally got here. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

The counter staff went and got a man that explained the female I spoke with was NOT a manager and that she should have gotten one instead of handling it. Great. I had to go inside a second time to get what was missing from my order. When I got home the dressing was incorrect, there was coleslaw on a sandwich I asked for it to not be on and, a meatball sub had a meatball outside of the sandwich that looked as if a bite was taken out of it, I really hope not! I'm not asking for the whole meal to be comp'd just a sincere apology would have gone a long way. Yes, I get it that this is a minor inconvenience, but you do order at a restaurant and expect your order to be correct, to get all of it, and get good customer service for what you pay.
