Anthony's is under a new name and it is not good. Very little main ingredients and almost zero cheese. We won't be back.

Pizza is greasy and expensive. I guess some people really love oily pizza, but I'm not one of them. Maybe it's the cheap cheese?

Wow! We went and had…read morea blast! We met out with an old coworker and his wife who are relocating to the Monument area. They recently locked in a home so we are very excited. We have been to Scileppi's multiple times and I just checked and no review. So here we go! Love the atmosphere and the old church so very neat and so happy when they expanded they did not ruin the original church. The server we just had from our previous visit! She was awesome again and she is incredibly friendly. We started with ice cold beers and a Chianti for the wine drinker. We also tried the Works pizza! Yummy loved the crust and especially sausage very good... Next time will include the pics doh!

Our booth on the church side was a little cramped. During the online reservation, it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I selected anniversary. I did not expect anything elaborate, but a simple acknowledgment would have been nice. There was none. The bread was soft and warm. It was probably the best part of the meal. The rest of the food was just underwhelming. The four seasons salad was okay but not memorable. The crab-stuffed shrimp linguine was also just okay, nothing special. The chicken piccata was overpowered by lemon and had not much flavor. The veal marsala risotto was dry, bland and forgettable. The portions were just right. Service could have been better. It was a little slow and did not feel warm or welcoming. Considering the hype and prices, the experience did not meet our expectations. None of us really enjoyed the meal. For us, it is a one-and-done.

Our food was good across the board but not great and that's not bad. The pricing is reasonable (outside of some drinks/cocktails) and the staff is friendly and responsive. The parking situation sucks but that's the nature of there they are (you will need to remember your license plate to give to the hostess when you walk in) There are a few good Italian choices in Castle rock and this is one of them for sure but I'm not sure it's our first choice. That being said, we will likely be back at some point.

Made a reservation as that's what is recommended on their social media. The bread with olive oil was not bad. Lightweight and not heavy. I decided on the Prince Edward Island Mussels because I've seen them posted on their social media. When they were served, a fishy smell wafted up to me. I don't like that smell. Not a good smell. The mussels themselves were ok. Lack of any taste, even in the sauce. I usually like dunking bread in the sauce but this one didn't taste that good. The server was friendly and very nice. As was the bus person who brought me water. However, I'm not sure I'd eat here again. The dishes are quite pricey. And this meal was meh. Cute place though.

Being Italian, I rarely get excited about eating out at an Italian restaurant but this one was…read moreexceptional. I don't know where "reviewer" Keven went four months ago, but both interior & exterior looked brand new, so his references about shabby furniture are confounding. What he described simply didn't exist. The waitstaff was attentive and polite, and each course arrived within a reasonable time. As for the food, it was excellent. We had an appetizer of baked Brie and prosciutto, that was served with a spicy peach reduction meant to be spread on the toast quarters that accompanied the dish. The pastas were all fresh and prepared al dente, which is the correct way to prepare pasta, and there were a variety of sauces available for those who might want to change up the menu selections. I have absolutely no idea what these folks were talking about when they mentioned specifics available on the menu that they found wanting. Reading their criticisms, It was like they went to a different establishment. Whatever the disconnect, there is no question that Danielle's is a cut above most restaurants and well worth the extra price. If one wants food that tastes like the old country, then one has to pay a bit more for the experience when here in the US.

Always great food, cocktails, service and setting. We recommend regularly to all who we know.read more
