This is our second time dining in and for whatever reason today it's simply better than before. We have NO complaints about the food and our server Sarah was magnificent, not to mention the great people whom are there every day patrons. The establishment and all should be visited by more. Anyone near this establishment should take the time to enjoy GREAT FOOD,SERVICE,GREAT CONVERSATION WITH FELLOW PATRONS AND SERVERS!

I really wanted a Tuna Sub today and my colleagues all told me I had to try Anthony's and of course I did. Upon walking in I was greeted by a young lady who had a bright smile and asked if I was dining in or placing a to-go order. I advised her I was getting it to-go and she met me around the counter. From the beginning I was happy as I had seen a review about the service and was ecstatic to see that there had been an enhancement. I ordered a 7" Tuna Sub and an order of Fries. It took a little longer than usual for a cold sub and order of fries, but as it was the lunch time of the day, I figured it was due to order volume. Let's talk the food! The fries were absolutely AMAZING. To my surprise they were crinkle cut which are my favorite. They were perfectly fried with the crispy outside and soft middle. They weren't greasy and they were very fresh. The tuna sub was a nice size and had a good meat to bread ratio. The tuna itself was very bland. It seemed to have no flavor additives at all. The tomatoes on the sub were very fresh and juicy, and the lettuce was crisp. Overall, for $7 it was a perfect fit for the price. The next time I go I will stay away from the tuna and try the pizza as I hear it is very good. I def recommend the fries if you love a good fry as I do. Oh, I almost forgot, the ketchup packets they provide with the fries really are a hit. The ketchup has a sweetness to it that Pairs perfectly with the fry. Geesh! Just talking about it, I want some more now. HeHe. Environment- 7/10 Service- 10/10 Food- 5/10 Price-

Disappointed. This was remade by a manager. She passed this out.

I ordered the pasta combo no meat add onions and mushrooms. Every time I order here I get zero service. Random by standards have to tell the front cashier/host that someone is there. Even if a server is standing off to the side, they will not say a word to me or even look up. The first order didn't have onions or mushrooms and this picture is of the second order. A manager named Holly made this and a manager named Tammy severed it out. I had to ask for napkins because it literally looked like soup before I left. This is an Italian restaurant when I picked up my order I thought I ordered a pizza. Why are the vegetables of pasta on the top of the pasta. What makes it worse is when I called back in I told Holly pasta_veggie_sauce-cheese. She deliberately put a sprinkle of vegetables at the top. The other manager Tammy pretended to not know that this is not how pasta is made nor has it ever been made like this any time I've ordered.

I had the Lasagna because it was Monday, and boy do I hate Mondays! Less Mondays, and more Lasagna! Am I right!?

This is the Oreo cheesecake. You can't have any; it's mine.

Not my first time here, but it is my first review for them! This is really good pizza! (Is there…read morebad pizza?) very traditional, thin, Neopolitan style crust. Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!

Well the last few times we have been the game has been fun but the food has left a lot to be desired. Tonight we all ordered slices of pizza (5 of us in the group) and of course a couple of pitchers of beer. All of our pizzas were dried out, not a lot of toppings and large areas with no toppings at all (bubbles in the dough). This was our first time back in a couple of months because the food quality had already been going down on our last couple of visits. Tonight was just awful. Bad thing too cause we brought my sister for her first time and she was not at all impressed. I hate this because they used to be SO good. Service is about the same as it's always been (so-so) and we love the restaurant itself but I'm not sure if we will be coming back. It's just not worth $50+ for 2 people when the food quality is so disappointing. We noticed too that a lot of other Tuesday night regulars weren't there tonight. Wonder if they have been experiencing the same sad food. We will wait another month or so and maybe try again. It's really sad though when our other trivia spot is a bar and they have better food........

Simple order... but executed the right way. Let me start with the pizza, because that's the headline. That crust? Straight up made with love. Crispy on the outside with that perfect golden finish, but still soft with just the right bounce on the inside. Flavor was on point--nothing bland, nothing overdone. You can tell whoever was on the oven knew exactly what they were doing. Hats off to the cook for that one. The cheese pizza kept it clean and classic--melty, well-balanced, and let that crust shine. The pepperoni had a nice crisp on the edges with a little grease pop, exactly how you want it. Now, everything else? Solid. The garlic knots were soft and buttery with good garlic flavor--not overpowering, just right. The cheese breadsticks came out hot, loaded, and satisfying--definitely a good add-on to the order. I grabbed my food to go, but had a few minutes to look around while I waited. The spot has that laid-back, local pizza shop feel--nothing fancy, just real, comfortable, and focused on the food. You can tell it's a place people come back to. Final verdict: If you're in McDonough and want a legit New York-style pizza experience, Johnny's delivers--especially on that crust. That alone makes it worth the stop.

Unfortunately, after the way this situation was handled, I will not be returning. I placed and paid for an order online. When my husband picked up the pizzas, he was charged again at the store for the same order. I understand that mistakes happen, but what matters is how a business responds when a mistake is brought to their attention. The next day, I went in person to address the issue and was told the manager was not there. I then called for the next two days and was told I would receive a call back, which never happened. After receiving no response, I returned in person with my bank statements showing the duplicate charges. Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to resolve the issue, I was told it did not happen and was refused a refund. That is unacceptable. A loyal customer should not have to chase a business for days, provide proof, and still be dismissed. This was not about the amount of money. This was about integrity, accountability, and basic customer service. The previous ownership would have made this right without hesitation. Sadly, that is clearly not the standard anymore. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful forms of advertisement, and I will make sure people know about my experience. I strongly caution anyone considering ordering from this location. Check your receipts, check your bank statements, and do not assume that a mistake will be corrected. Based on my experience, loyalty and proof meant nothing.

My partner is originally from New York, I'm originally from Connecticut, and we are both very fussy about pizza. We are the kind of people who will drive an hour from Conyers just to get a pizza here, with no other errands attached. That alone should tell you everything. We usually get a huge pepperoni pie and share it. They do have slices, and the slices are excellent too, but I recommend getting the whole pie if you can. Every pizza we have had here has been picture-perfect. Perfect crust, perfect sauce, perfect cheese, properly cooked toppings, and that real New York-style balance of crispy, chewy, melty, slightly floppy, and dangerously hot. The crust has the right crisp and chew. The sauce is flavorful without being too much. The cheese has that classic low-moisture mozzarella richness, and it is seasoned beautifully before baking. That is one of those details a lot of places miss. Up north, the cheese is not just bland melted cheese sitting there doing nothing. It has flavor. It has oregano. It has seasoning. It has personality. I Love New York Pizza gets that right. The first time we went, the owner was there, the family was there, and people were speaking Italian behind the counter. Then I saw the case full of slices and immediately thought, "Okay, we are safe. We are in good hands." You can tell just by looking at the pizza that it is right. Is this the greatest New York pizza you will ever have in your life? Maybe not. Is it possibly the best New York-style pizza you are going to get in this area? Absolutely. To me, it tastes like the kind of standard, classic, universally enjoyable New York pizza you would bring someone to for their first real slice experience. We almost always dine in, and there is always enough to take leftovers home. The staff is great, the service is great, the timing is great, and the consistency is honestly impressive. We drive an hour hoping to get the same perfect pizza we had last time, and they deliver every time. I will be honest: I come here for the pizza. I do not really care for the garlic knots, and I have not been especially attached to the non-pizza items I have tried. But if you have a serious up-north pizza craving, that does not matter. Get the pizza. Get the whole pie. Let it set for a minute if you have the patience, because it comes out burning hot. Or risk it all and burn your mouth on the first bite like I sometimes do. Worth it. I Love New York Pizza is the spot. Picky Northerner approved.
