The sever Bella was alone. She handled the whole restaurant alone and I was surprised no manager was here. She bartended and served. She admitted only to doing beer and wine and understood since no bartender clearly showed for their shift or had coverage. She did a fantastic job. I've been ordering from Anthony's since I was in my teens I'm now 41. the food is amazing, the people who work there are incredibly friendly and after a mishap with a shady app like slice I now go into Anthony's for my food or have them deliver it. but I've cut out the middle man app and it's so much better to talk to someone or actually go into a place in this day and age of technology and experience the relationship between business and customer. I will forever order my food from this place as they are accommodating, down to earth and friendly...oh, as well as the food being absolutely delicious! 5 stars, I'd give more if I could. And the pizza is absolutely top top top notch, with ALL the qualities that usually get reviewed... light crispy crust, sauce flavor, cheese amount and how it's cooked! We surely miss the dining out, but I am eternally grateful to Tony that they are still open for pick up and delivery. That wonderful food is always saving me! The sun here is delusional I bought a $13 salad got no knife and no fork and I asked him if it was too much money and he said yes I said I paid $13 for the salad and a one penny fork and a one penny knife is too much and he said yes this guy needs to go back to the hole in the ground he crawled out of..... Old school Italian restaurant/diner. Which is hard to find these days. Huge portions, Great friendly service , and open on a holiday... so it's hard to beat. Food was tasty and filling. Had the baked ziti which was nicely done. Cheese was perfectly browned on top. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. read more

Best parts of Anthony's: Great intimate, old fashion dining counter with a great small town feel. Also, the subs are great, and all the entrees I've had over the years are generally very good. The cons: The pizza is terrible! Also, I've been in this place on more than one occasion watching the owner scream obscenities at the women behind the counter, or generally stomping around yelling at the staff in general, The service is generally miserable but can't really blame the staff after seeing the owner's erratic behavior. Embarrassing. Also, twice, I ordered and they didn't make my food also. So that sucks. So yeah, get a great sub or cheesesteak, but get ready to wait for them to make it after you called or be prepared to watch blood shoot out of the owner's ear as he screams at his staff. read more

Ordered a pizza for delivery from Anthony's pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It arrived with no pepperoni or sausage. Plus it was undercooked by a lot. The cheese wasn't even melted and the crust wasn't even browned. Do not order pizza from this place it is terrible. read more

Hats off to Anthony's Pizza (and Anthony and the Pizza) for making my bicyclist pal and I feel so very welcome for lunch on our bike adventure across the NYC ferry to Atlantic Highlands and the Henry Hudson Trail. Very much enjoyed the pizza and fresh ice teas, and the congenial patrons (a table of which were volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, who told us they make it a point to come every time they are in the area, for a wider selection of entrees than we sampled.) read more

Don't use this place! It is horrible. The pizza is OK but there are better local places. The other food isn't very good at all. We ordered pizza on a Monday night and it took 2 hours. It arrived freezing cold. We tried again a few months later. I told them of my last experience and they assured me it wouldn't happen again but the food still took a little over an hour. The girl who answers the phone is known around to be very rude and notoriously gets orders wrong. Against my better judgment we decided to use them for an event for some of our food because he offered a decent price. It was horrendous. I have literally never had catered food that was so bad. It was embarrassing to have to give to our guests. The chicken francese was literally little cut up pieces of dried grilled chicken with lemon squeezed on top. People didn't even know what it was. We had a lot leftover and winded up throwing it out. No one even wanted it. The sausage and peppers was sausage thrown in bland tomato sauce. Barely anyone touched it. Thank God we made some of our own dishes so people had other options. He does an OK business because he offers lunch deals to the local businesses and schools but do yourself a favor and don't order here. There are other good places in the area with good service and much better food. read more
