Anthropologie is my second favorite boho style clothing store next to Free People. This brand carries home goods too and they are very cute and well made. I have been looking at some furnitures from this store. We came in to look around at this spacious and organized store after our brunch. I was very much interested in a set of white sheer fabric pants and bra top. A sales associate was very helpful to go to the back to find my size. Everybody was friendly and it was a pleasant shopping experience. Definitely one of the best Anthropologie stores I've ever shopped at! read more

My wife and daughters have always loved this store and we have a few household items like the famous Anthropologie mirrors. But this rating is more specifically for the wedding dress shopping experience with Summer. Her service was great from the beginning and my daughter loved her honesty and helpfulness. As beautiful as all the dresses were, we were surprised at how affordable they were. I couldn't imagine dresses being any prettier than the ones she tried on so I don't understand why some are $10-20k, other than being designer or custom made. My sister is getting married towards the end of the year and asked me to be her maid of honor. I tried on a couple places at a mall but nothing seemed to have the color or style that worked for us. I decided to come to Anthropology in Fashion Island and they had a full bridal section along with bridesmaid dresses. I tried on a couple and ended up purchasing one in a different color online. The prices for these dresses were on the cheaper side compared to the other dresses I was looking at. Overall, I loved all these dresses. What I love about Anthropologie is that they always have a really cool, unique selection of clothes and household items. During the holidays they also have seasonal items (like Christmas ornaments) and really pretty store displays. This location is located in Fashion Island by Bloomingdales and ALO. It's a super large store and you can actually also enter on that side and yet exit on the opposite side of the store heading towards the Nordstroms/Movie theater direction - the store is so massive! The only thing I don't like about Anthropologie is the lack of value. It's really expensive for what you get. For little items like home goods or seasonal items and little things like jewelry or a hat and scarf set, etc. it's fine BUT paying $250 for a sweater that's not even that special and isn't even a major brand, is a bit over the top......hence the 4 stars instead of 5.... read more

Skyler and Lorel both were assisting me and could not have been more patient, kind, understanding and they helped sort out everything and helped take away my anxiety. I must say I don't normally give reviews on a retail chain...however, I had an amazing experience of the upmost finest customer service I've ever had at this location. I'm sending a shout out to Mandy who was the lovely lady at the cashier who went way beyond the "Call of Duty" and out of her way to assist me with what turned out to be complicated return. At the end of the day, I was given wrong information from the anthropology in the spectrum at Irvine. Although it took awhile and for her also communicating with maybe three other extremely helpful and friendly associates in the store, I received my store credit!! Bought a Anthro branded shirt here recently (Maeve), and it completely fell apart and ripped at all the seams after 3 washes. The shirt was over 100 dollars. Went to the store after requesting a warranty defect online (and being directed by the online service rep to take it to the store), and the extremely rude manager told me that they can not do anything because they can not "re-sell the item".... They should not be selling products this terrible in the first place??!! As a long time Anthropologie shopper, it is sad to see a good company sell out to terrible products and even worse customer service. Thank you to the manager and other employee at Anthropologie who helped me find my dog's AirTag that I lost in the store. It was a bit of a scavenger hunt but we successfully found it in a basket above a shelf. I shop there a lot because they always have extraordinarily items that make a statement like a tennis/pickleball embroidered sweater that I'll be wearing all winter. I love the store but this location isn't that great. Do NoT let them take your items to hold because they always go missing and give your items away or change the sizes! I had a size medium dress and they must've give it to someone else because I had an xl when I went to try it on!! Then I had a large floral jacket and they switched it out for a medium!!! I was so livid!! so I put my items I'll hold upfront with my name and somebody in line asked for my stuff in the box and said what size is it the lady totally told her the size and I'm like excuse me that's my stuff so unprofessional so that means they were giving my stuff away that was on hold in the fitting room!! Came in today and found a few items that were an additional 50% off. I went to pay and the jeans rang up full price. Thought they would just manually adjust the price. Instead I was asked if there were more of those jeans in the sale section and then told, someone must have accidentally marked it as clearance. They made me feel as if had something to do with that. I decided not to purchase any of the items and left the store. Anthropologie used to be my go to store, but the employees are not always the friendliest especially at this location. I have been a long term Anthro supporter and even purchase large volume client gifts from them. NO MORE! Abby the floor manager was very dismissive when I brought in candle (large candle) and shared the wick was defective and wanted to exchange it for one that worked. I asked the employee what the managers name was and she replied "I don't know..." that was it. She was rude and gave no level of problem solving. I have spent so much money and loyalty to this brand and will not support them after the two rude and unhelpful employees. Newport Fashion Island store needs a customer service intervention. It's the ideal store for the romantic, feminine, and bohemian in you. Each item has its own character. It could be a bold color, a dramatic bow, or a voluminous skirt! Shopping here feels like you are shopping at a specialty boutique. My experience is always pleasant and this time was not different. In fact, I was thrilled to see that they now carry a large selection of Farm Rio, a brand from Brazil, full of color and personality! The store is appropriately staffed and the stylist are very helpful in assisting with sizes and recommending items, and even help you take a picture or two during your decision process. This review is reflective of BHLDN, the bridal shop within Anthropologie. I was just in the Fashion Island store and, like many of the posts I've read regarding this location, inclusivity was not their strong suit. I was there just yesterday for my goddaughter who is recently engaged. There's much excitement in the air as we're celebrating her pending nuptials and leaning into this amazing new chapter in her life! Unfortunately, Miriam did not share that enthusiasm or lean into the energy our small group brought to the fitting. She was rude and grossly dismissive. She even made several snide comments to my goddaughter as they changed from gown to gown in the dressing room. She was blind and deaf to how important the people are whom the bride chooses to accompany her for her fittings. A gross miss on Miriam's part. She kept her back to us the entire time, never acknowledged our comments or questions and spoke quietly so no one else could be engaged. I've never seen such dismissive and ignorant behavior in a retailor. She was cold, exclusive and clearly lacked the ability to create an environment conducive to love, anticipation and fun for the bride-to-be. Even with competitive price points, Miriam's obtusely offensive behavior has taken BHLDN out of the running for our purchase. It is my sincerest hope that the firm reads, responds and reacts to this review. No bridal fitting should be subject to the likes of a Miriam. read more

As a frequent customer of the Fashion Island location, there are certain consistencies. The dressing room staff is ALWAYS ALWAYS RUDE! Rude and intimidating to the point I've decided to try things on at home, which brings up my next point. Part of their return policy is to make the customer wait while the clerk retags, adds security sensors and hangs each item, as to PUNISH us for making a return. Today, being that it's a few days before Christmas the line was extremely long, I waited almost half hour. One would think, the store would have a designated member to retag, hang etc. for returns to shorten the wait time for other customers. I love Anthropologie. I've been shopping here for years when visiting America and always find something cute to buy, be it homeware, jewellery or trinkets. I was also really looking forward to checking out their extended sizes in clothing since now they stock it. But apparently, at the Fashion Island location, they don't want to be inclusive. The staff were a bit pretentious and snobby, and to find out they didn't carry the extended sizes was the final kick in the butt. Having said that, as much as I won't shop here again, this store is laid out beautifully (I mean, there is room to carry the extended sizes, but ...), and you can easily spend a lot of time browsing all they sell. There's room sprays, and furniture, and hair ties and everything in between. I'd recommend here for looking for something pretty to buy for your house or a treat, but there are other locations that are more inclusive and friendly. read more

This review is for the wedding department of Anthropology. The manager of the wedding department was incredibly cold and rude. No one was in the area or dressing rooms but when she saw my future daughter in law holding a dress, as well as her Mom, the manager did not ask if she could help. She asked "Do you have an appointment?" The Moms reply was she tried but could not get a response so we came by as the bride was interested in a specific dress. The manager then took the dresses from the bride and mothers hands and said she could not try anything on without an appointment. She then hung the dresses up and told them to make an appointment. The bride and Mom were so embaressed and humiliated by her rude tone and snatching the dresses from there hands. Such a sad experience for what should have been a beautiful and special day. read more

Anthropologie is a beautifully curated store. I love the decor and the home goods. Most of their clothes are on the pricey side but you can find some great pieces that may last you years if you know what to look for. I purchased a Voluspa candle for 30% off which was a steal because my friend and I had just come from the Voluspa store nearby and she only got 20% off her purchase. The candle I bought was a nice 2-wick candle with glass jar and glass lid. It was carefully wrapped at the register when I paid. Their other Voluspa candles vary a little from the ones found in the Voluspa store, so if you know what to look for, you can get a great deal at Anthropologie vs. at Voluspa. Not too shabby if you ask me. I love a good deal. read more

I just have to compliment the store on having the best customer service. We shopped here over Christmas and had a great experience. Everyone was over the top helpful, even with the crazy Christmas rush. The line for checking out moved very quickly. I was so impressed with how they took such care in wrapping my selections so beautifully in tissue and carefully placed them in a bag with gorgeous gift boxes. The other stores just shove things in the bag. I felt very spoiled! I did have to return one item after the holidays. It was no problem at all and the credit appeared instantly on my card. This Anthropologie is probably my favorite location of the chain I've ever visited. I believe it is considered on of their "Anthropologie and Co" locations, which is set up to be more like a department store. They have the store arranged in different sections, including whole Terrain and BHLDN areas. The best part of this store is how many of the home items you can see in person! It is so rare since most locations only carry a few items. I loved being able to walk around here and see many of the items I've eyed online. The other benefit to them carrying bigger home items is they make it to the sale section! They had several bigger pieces of art marked down as well as rugs and other decor items. If you're nearby and an anthro fan, this is definitely worth a stop! It's easy to get to from the parking structure so don't be overwhelmed by it being in the mall. read more

WHUTTT is going ON with fashion in this era? Man these are some dark days! This store used to have the cutest clothes, now it looks like a store for Bozo the clown. Seriously, if you need a laugh, come here and try on the clothes. They currently have jackets that look like giant potholders from your granny's house. The decline of the fabric quality over the last decade has been really sad to witness. I just feel like everything in this country is going downhill so fast. I miss buying high quality, well tailored clothing that was flattering to the female form. You won't really find much of that here. If your goal is to look strange, ridiculous and broke, this is the place. The service was friendly, helpful and they did have some good perfumes, so I added a star for that. This company doesn't care about serving their customers or community. I went in to Anthropologie Fashion Island Newport California with my 3 yr old and lost her. The store is BUSY. I had to ask the employees 3 times to help me find my daughter. Each time I circled back Megan who does Visuals and Lilly who folds sweater were not even helping. They went back to folding sweaters and assisting other shopping customers. I finally yelled for someone to please help me find my daughter. I asked if the doors could please be shut, and it took a very kind hearted customer to stand at a door and ask if she can close it. To which no employee gave any response. She even yelled at a security across the way at another store if he had seen a little girl. Again, this is a CUSTOMER with this type of response. After my daughter was located by some very kind peole (non-employees) I asked to speak to a store manager, an employee said she was the store manager (she was not) had to retell my story to the actual store manager (Mindy). She asked me is there anything she could do to help. I asked for the corporate phone number. She than brought over the district manager along with the general 1-800 anthropologie number. I asked the district manager what the protocol was for a child going missing she said they are supposed to shut the doors. Apparently their employees don't know these protocols because they decided that maintaining an aesthetically pleasing sales floor was more important than helping a mother who have lost their child. I was asked if there was anything they could do i said yes, i want an apology from the employees who failed to uphold the values of Anthropology. Which is SERVE THEIR COMMUNITY. (This is on their website btw) The District Manager named Christine said they couldn't do that but she apologizes on their behalf. A simple apology. Are you kidding me? These people don't care about customers or community. They're not inclusive. I was a mother that needed to be served and instead i was ignored as they serviced other customers who were spending money in their store. None of the employees or the managers have any knowledge of how to help people in a crisis matter. We had this whole entire conversation in the middle of a busy sales floor as I'm trying with everything in me not to break down. Anthropologie, you need to be better with training your employees how to have people skills. Btw. I called corporate, it's an overseas call center with people who can't even understand what I'm asking. Supposedly i should get a response from some type of team. As a guy, I see this store as a place that sells hippie-chick clothes that have been made more stylish. And they also sell a bunch of unique kitchen stuff that is cool and not cutesy. I actually picked up salt and pepper shakers and an oven mitt while I was here. I found them in their sale area so got them at good prices. The women in my family love this lifestyle brand store in Newport Beach. Sometimes, I can almost imagine a group of gypsies walking into this store to purchase their fashion cause that's what their gear sometimes looks like. Don't get me wrong, the women's clothing, accessories, home furnishings, and gifts and are all trendy, so I can understand it's popularity. Anthropologie is owned by Urban Outfitters and I can see the resemblance in their styles. Operating over 175 retail stores worldwide, their talented team of visual merchandisers and display artists have been praised and awarded for their imagination and creativity in store design and decor. My sister usually bolts for the sales section and if I happen to tag along, I just lounge around in one of their comfy couches to check out their books and reading material. The other day, I found this interesting album of work by Elliott Erwitt. I'm a huge Marilyn Monroe fan and the cover had a portrait of the cast from the movie - The Misfits, one of Marilyn's last films prior to her untimely demise. I'm also sure that some women can use a book like this one, which shows you style secrets that surpasses the test of time. I did notice that the merchandise is a tad more expensive than your normal retail store, but given the fact that you're shopping at Fashion Island, I'm sure most women don't mind to splurge. I love this location of Anthropologie. Everything is so beautiful here. From candles to clothing, this store has so many pretty things. This is a wonderful time of year at Anthropologie. They have their amazing fall merchandise in. Yes, they might be a might be a bit expensive, but when you buy beautiful wool sweaters and coats or intricate lace blouses, it's so nice to have good quality. This store also has a huge sale section in the back of the store. If I see an item I really like, I try to wait and find these items on sale later. Waiting a bit is small price to pay to find a great discount. Usually I just wander the store just to look at all the beautiful clothing. I love their sweaters, blazers, and coats. They are starting to get their adorable holiday blouses and sweaters in. They also have really nice jeans of every material and wash imaginable. I had an amazing experience recently with the service at this store! I was looking for the gold monogram holiday mugs just after Christmas. Beatriz was amazing, she found me both of the mugs I wanted in the letters C & A after they had pretty much sold out. She put them on hold for me and I called later to have them both shipped to me here in NYC. Unfortunately when I called to have them shipped to me, the associate must have switched one of the mugs in the process and instead of getting a C, I received an E. I was totally bummed out but I called to speak to the manager and got Alli. She was very helpful, she called a ton of stores and their warehouse but had no luck finding the C again.
