The drawings remind me of improved versions of the scribbles that filled my college notebooks. I like the "Boogie Monster" and nightmarish looking robot pieces. Isaac's cool and provides friendly service (I got a free sticker!). Antic has the honor of receiving my first five star review. I can honestly say that I would support anything that comes out of this shop. I have been a customer of Antic for years and am thrilled that the business is doing so well. The artwork is unique and fun. I own everything from shirts, bags and even have a sticker on my car. Either Saturday market or the store is well worth your visit. Most people I know have received something Antic as a present and the responses outside of Portland are stellar. These guys are awesome! Same customer service of a small locally owned shop, with all the capabilities of large scale production. We've used this team 3 times now for 2 different shirt designs and every time they are very responsive and helpful. They even went as far to cover the cost of a slightly more expensive shirt because the one I wanted was out of stock. These are the details that will keep me coming back in the future. I recently ordered a batch of 50 t-shirts printed by Antic. After hearing that they were ready, I went to the shop to pick them up. I opened the box to find that a few shirts on the top of the pile had excess black ink scattered on them. Upon closer inspection of the entire batch, I found that the design on many of the shirts was either crooked or aligned off-center. The gentlemen working at that time informed me that the owner was out of town. He said to leave the shirts there and the owner, Isaac, would contact me when he was back to correct the situation. A few days later, I was contacted by Isaac telling me to come down to the shop because this would be better discussed in person. Huh? So, this amounted to my second trip to the shop so that I could show Isaac what I felt were fairly obvious inconsistencies in the quality of the printing. When it came to the off-center printing, he was skeptical at first, telling me that he's been printing shirts a long time. Then he got out a ruler to prove me wrong. Welp, his ruler just confirmed that they were not printed on straight. He admitted they were not consistent and said that he would reprint the crooked ones. I left there empty handed for a second time, assuming that all of the shirts would be corrected. Several days later, I was contacted by Isaac saying that my shirts were ready. I made a third trip to the shop to check them out and pick up my order. This time, I was on my work break and couldn't stay long. The ones on top looked better. I started to go through the rest of the shirts even though I didn't have much time. He said "I really don't want you checking out all of the shirts." For whatever reason, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, paid in full for the order and took the shirts home. At home, I inspected them further to find that 6 shirts were printed poorly - either crooked or had ink that was splotchy in places, or even easily rubbing off. One of the shirts had a collar that was separating from the rest of the shirt. The worst part, though, was that 12 out of the 15 mediums I ordered were actually size small even though they were labeled otherwise. I'm not sure if these were a counterfeit batch of Next Level shirts or what, but they were labeled incorrectly. I sent an email to Antic explaining the condition of the shirts and that I would just like to return the 18 bad shirts for a refund (for just those shirts). I received an email back saying that they would not do that, and that I got what I ordered. Furthermore, I was told that if I wanted to replace those 18 shirts, that I could order and pay for them. "Our minimum order quantity is 12" I was "politely" told. So basically, I would have to pay an additional $150plus to get what I originally ordered. I was also told that I received a "good faith discount" of $17 on my initial $400 order.....so I guess I should be thankful? The policy on their site clearly states that they will refund or credit for missing garments. My order was missing 12 actual mediums. Antic did not legitimately fulfill my order and seems to have a problem with quality control. I highly recommend having your garments printed elsewhere. read more
