I never have the confidence to go into a spa but I walked in and was comfortable from the first greeting. Got my massage first by Kenzie. She was amazing! I knew the 10 seconds that I was going to like her massage. She didn't even have to check in; everything was perfect! It was like she knew all the spots that needed work. I will definitely schedule with her again! Then, I got a facial by Tania (sp) she was wonderful! Very relaxing movements and my face feels amazing! I can't wait to schedule another spa day here! My mom made a pedicure appointment and as a present for me, my husband scheduled a separate appointment for me so I could get one done too at the same time. When I woke up this morning, I felt terrible and I knew I was sick, realizing I shouldn't go to my pedicure appointment sick. I called to cancel my appointment, but since it was before operating hours, I left a voicemail. When my mom arrived for her appointment, she asked if they got my message. The staff present said she had not checked the messages yet. She then told my mom that she would have to check with the boss, but that my mom might be charged for MY cancelled appointment. They told my mom that since my tech came in, they would charge her. My mom even asked if my dad could take my place but they said no. Upset, my mom asked me to call and talk to them. I proceeded to call & asked to make sure my mom wouldn't be charged. The staff I spoke to told me that since my tech came in, I would be charged for the cancellation. I grudgingly agreed to pay over the phone. She first gave me the total of $120, which I disputed immediately. She thought she was charging me for my mom's appointment as well. Then she gave me the new total of $62. I then asked, "I have to pay full price regardless?" and was told yes. The staff gave me a 10% discount but it still came out to $58. I completely understand paying a fee for a cancelled appointment, but I did not expect to pay full price. I would have easily paid a small cancellation fee. Overall, I had to pay $58 for a pedicure I didn't receive for deciding to be courteous by staying home sick. At this point, I should have just come in sick and received my pedicure. read more

While visiting my parents in Olympia I received two spray tans... I'm 50/50 on the experience!! I've been a spray-tanner for over three years now thanks to my see-through pale skin and red hair. :o) I've been to a handful of salons and finding the right place and the right product is hard! The salon itself was clean and the waiting area was very relaxing with teas, water, and little bowls for the snack and trail mixes that were available. Jessica was great - she was super nice and made me feel comfortable at a new place! She was careful to cover all areas and her application was super even and showed instant color so you knew what to expect when you left. The 50/50 comes in with the tanning product itself and the service details. There are no ponytail holders or disposable shower caps so your hair gets super sticky and nasty if you forget one/both. I brought both the second time around! The tanning spray/product is THE stickiest I have ever used. Normally I'm sticky for about an hour but then it subsides. With whatever product Antidote uses I was still sticky six hours later - which makes wearing any kind of clothes miserable! (I'm a weenie when it comes to being sticky! Bleh!) The plus was that the same nasty sticky product also made my tan last longer than any other tanning product...even through a soak in my parent's hot tub!! So...i guess you have to decide if the sticky is worth the extra few days of tanning before a reapplication! Overall a good experience - just don't expect to do anything the rest of the day and REMEMBER - bring your shower cap!!! read more

This review ia for the spa side of Antidote only. It is a bit on the small side, but very cozy and relaxing. I recommend The Lucky You, which is a package with a scrub, wrap, and massage. It is wonderful! Just be aware that they do not have showers here, so the scrub will be removed with towels. They also have excellent tea here. I only wish they would have infused water in the waiting area. read more

Antidote...for the sore pregnant body! I was desperately searching for a last minute pregnancy massage. I had trouble walking from a pinched nerve from my pregnancy. I called several spas. Antidote was the only one that could get me in...through a cancellation. Boy, was I glad! My masseuse was amazing at making me feel comfortable, keeping me off my back, and helping me to walk better. The receptionist was friendly, courteous, and professional...and I even got some yummy brownie at the end of my time! It is a pricey massage but well worth it! read more

I went back for one more pedicure before moving away. I need to knock off a star, though, as it was pretty clear that what makes the mani/pedi area really shine is Jessica. My last pedicure was with a different aesthetician, and I was pretty disappointed when I compared it with previous visits. The other pedicure person (I don't remember her name) was not as thorough, and I now have several ingrown toenails a few weeks later. I had the most amazing experience. Britney gave me a very wonderful facial. She was a pleasure to talk to which made the experience so enjoyable. I will definitely be going back. I also had a massage, body scrub, and body wrap (Rose? I think she was my massage therapist). There seemed to be something wrong with the hot water. The rinsing off between treatments was a bit shocking after being so relaxed. However, my skin felt like silk when all was done. The treatment itself was pretty fabulous. I came to Antidote Salon after seeing someone I work with that had the most beautiful blonde hair that was so natural looking that I was surprised that it was colored. My hair had gone from bad to worse after my regular hair stylist passed away and I was forced to find someone new in Bellevue. I recently moved to Olympia and I was so unhappy with the color and condition of my hair that I knew I had to find another stylist and stop the Bellevue madness. I called Antidote Salon and spoke with the owner, Jennifer, who could not have been kinder or more willing to help me. Vanessa, the stylist that colored my co workers hair, was booked but, I was able to get an appointment with Michael the same day. Michael did a fabulous job of correcting the horrendous color job by my new Bellevue salon. My hair was dry, looked bleached with no definition or color, the best description I can give is 'it was a hot mess'. I left with the best color, texture and cut that I have ever had. Michael is a master of color and he took this challenge seriously and succeeded in every aspect! Look no further, you will not find a better colorist anywhere. read more

Kenzie gave a wonderful deep tissue massage - sorely (ha ha) needed. My shoulder has become functional with her expert help and the rest of me was not neglected either. Her manner is calm, reassuring and professional; one of the best I have encountered. Deep tissue can be painful, but she constantly checked my comfort. Went there on October 10th at 10 am with myself and 2 bridesmaids. 1. I had vanessa which she is familiar with my hair because she had cut and colored my hair over the past year. I wanted a simple hairstyle half up/down and curled, which she did. My only complaint is that I had to re curl my hair because it was all out before the wedding. My hair fell out in under 2 hours! I also had my makeup done by her which took less time than my hair. I wasn't asked any questions about my skin and I felt that it wasn't done as well as it could have been. I was also put in a mascara that ran, which is kind of difficult to keep touching up so i don't have rings around my eyes for pictures. 2. My one bridesmaid Monica, who i had lauren I believe just had her makeup done by her. It took her over an hour to do her makeup. Her makeup looked amazing! She was offered to buy the lipstick to touch up later which cost her a whopping 30 bucks. When it came time to do my makeup and my sisters they were out of brushes and had to clean them before they could be used on me or my sister. This ended up only allowing 20-30 minutes for our makeup, which I was a little disappointed in. I would have loved to have lauren do all our makeup. 3. For my sister I'm not sure who did her hair and makeup but i was not impressed. She had to re curl my sisters hair 3 times because it kept falling out. Each time she had to curl her hair her attitude was worse. With her knowing this she didn't suggest another style or even use a different product. As for my sisters makeup she never received lip gloss or eye liner which we didn't notice until after we had left. I thought that since it was a wedding party we would have been offered water or coffee but that didn't happen. After two hours our time was up and we were ushered out because there next clients were coming in. I paid $300.00 bucks for 3 people to get makeup done and 2 to get there hair done.I left no tip because I felt cheated and disappointed. We were not difficult customers. Also the makeup brushes not being there an having to wait or getting makeup missed because of this wasn't our fault. I just was surprised that they didn't have this checked before they knew we were coming in. Why pay the big bucks to have to re do not only your hair but your sisters as well? I will not be recommending this bridal service to anyone and I'm not sure I will be going back for my haircut/ color anymore either. read more

I was given a spa package for my birthday- package included a 60 minute massage, facial, and manicure/pedicure. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The manicure and pedicure lasted longer than any I have had before. I even heard the receptionist go above and beyond to help a teenage gal, who didn't have an appointment, with makeup for a school dance, when her mom couldn't help her anymore. I recently walked through this spa after getting a drink at the attached cafe and two women at the front desk area (one I believe named Jillian if I accurately read her name tag), and the other who seemed to be a manager or owner, were really rude to me. I'm a very friendly and reasonable person - I just had a few questions about pricing. They initially ignored me, then gave me really short answers with a not so friendly tone. It was as if I wasn't worth their time... Perhaps they were annoyed that I interrupted their conversation or something...? (How dare someone inquire about their services!). I do not recommend going here, there are plenty of other spas in Olympia that are much more friendly right off the bat, which is crucial when it comes to having the ultimate relaxing spa experience! read more

Definitely the best Spa and Salon in the area. The staff is awesome and for guys like me that tend to shy away from the spa scene that feeling goes away right after you arrive. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. I have had a pedicure which I now know how important and how awesome my feet feel.
