I LOVE THIS BAKERY!!! My hubs & I are relocated NYC'ers so we are accustomed to having the best of the best at our fingertips... Moving to Maine, we thought that would not be such an easy task. Finding high quality specialty food items 5 minutes from home was one of the many delights we've come into in our new community! Only real complaint I could say is I would prefer a little thinner slice of bread so it can soak a little better but no real complaints. My wife got the Librarian Omelette (minus mushrooms) and it was large and jam full, they did not skimp on ingredients. Her only real complaint was some bacon was thicker than she prefers but again minimal. If you are looking for a spot to grab some delicious breakfast and/or coffee in central Maine this should be near the top of your list. From the overall vibes to quality of drinks and food you will likely have a difficult finding a better spot.

Well worth the price and the trip. By the way, the prices are very reasonable, great value! This restaurant is family friendly, plenty of seating. We arrived during one of their car shows, what a fun event, all sorts of beautiful cars but they were very crowded and busy, but fun! The walls were plastered with old photos of hollywood stars from that era, they had a prop of an old gas pump outside, the booths were old fashioned and just random other things that time jumped you back into time. The waitress was prompt and attentive, surprisingly with how busy it was. They accept debit, credit and cash. The menu wasn't overly extensive, kinda wish they had a little more on it but it had enough to select from. They have two parking lots, both free, on a normal day there is plenty of parking. They are wheelchair accessible also. I wasn't a fan of the bathroom being outside, if your inside you have to go around to side of the building but it has electricity, it was cleaned and stocked, but still a little inconvenient on the location of the bathroom. You can definitely eat outside, there's so many places to sit, with a fully stocked condiment station located outside. They only open seasonally so call and make sure they are open. You can order your food from a couple windows from the outside, you don't have to go inside. If you want to order from your car you turn on your headlights to order and they come to your car and take your order, it's a pretty interesting system they have going on, when your done you leave your dishes on your hood and they retrieve it. Prices were decent, I didn't consider it super expensive. My husband had the greased lightening burger with sweet potato fries. It's a double patty burger with veggies, cheese and two mozzarella sticks inside it. He says it was good but the mozzarella sticks were dry but he loved the sweet potato fries. I had the blue cheese with bacon burger with onion rings. My onion rings were burnt and the burger was good but the american cheese didn't melt at all on it, it looked just like it was added last minute and never had a chance to melt. I enjoyed it but I've had better, we also had a couple clam cakes. Now those were very good! The peanut butter sundae soft serve was amazing, creamy peanut butter all through it. The soda was crisp and fresh, not flat. Don't get me wrong, we liked our food, we were happy and we will definitely be back, but there was no "wow" factor involved. It was very busy, they probably didn't have enough staff, so we understand. It's not a deal breaker. It's a very fun place, the staff was great and prices were reasonable.
