a plate of mexican food at a restaurant

Excellent food. Excellent service. Beautiful, cozy restaurant. Good portion size, reasonable prices. I travel a distance to dine here, it is worth it.

    Nachos con Camaron

After going here on few occasions now, I feel like this is solid choice for Mexican fare. Most recently I had the Nachos con Camaron...very tasty, the jalapeno crema is fantastic and puts this app over the top. Service was OK, as we waited a few minutes before anyone noticed us waiting for a table, and our server was decent not great.

Smothered burrito in both sauces with rice and beans.... DELICIOUS!.

This is one of my all time favorite Mexican restaurants. I'm not a man that prefers presentation, I like good quality food but Antigua has gorgeous looking and utterly delicious food. The spicy salsa actually has heat yet it is still delicious, the burritos are absolutely smothered in sauce of your choosing, the creamy jalapeno sauce is my personal favorite. The wait staff has always been fast attentive and kind. Recommend to everyone possible

    Puerco En Salsa Verde

This is the second time I have eaten here in two weeks. It was just as fantastic as it was the first time. We were seated on the patio, as was our request. There was a light breeze blowing and they brought out some music. The atmosphere was perfect and we enjoyed sitting outside. I ordered pork with green sauce. I have had this dish at other places and undoubtedly this was the best version that I have tasted. The rice and beans had flavor and every sauce that I had was fantastic. My husband ordered some pork dish that had pineapple and that was just as flavorful...although I liked mine more! The staff was friendly and prompt. They took great care to make sure that they paid attention to cleanliness. I have heard the breakfast is amazing. I will be trying that very soon.

Nice atmosphere.. attentive... fresh food. As a resident of Mukwonago I've eaten here a dozen+ times. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of my favorite elements is the layout of the restaurant. If you want to go somewhere and be able to hear the person across the table, this is a great spot. The food is delicious and more upscale then an average Mexican restaurant. Meals are about $10-18/plate. They have a good fish fry too... something to remember when you want a Friday Fish Fry and all the regular fish places are packed. A couple of my favorites are Arroz con Camerón, Enchilada Suizas, and their Churro/ice cream dessert. I was not a fan of their shrimp soup.. I prefer cold shrimp soup.. and this one had a thick tomato base, more of a shrimp tomato bisque. That's all personal preference of course. It was presented well (see picture) and I did finish it. Definitely would recommend Antigua Real and I'll be back.

The service was terrible. The food was fine but not good enough to make up for the service.

From the moment you walk in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere sets the tone, with inviting décor and subtle music that perfectly complements the cuisine. The menu is a thoughtfully curated celebration of Latin flavors, blending tradition with modern flair. Each dish is beautifully presented and layered with bold, authentic taste. Standout items include their perfectly seasoned meats, fresh seafood options, and house-made sauces that add depth and character to every bite. The balance of spices and textures shows a clear attention to detail and a deep respect for culinary heritage. The drinks are devine heavily inspired by Latin culture. My personal favorites are the blackberry sangria and the Mexican sangria. Service is equally impressive--attentive without being intrusive. The staff is knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu, and eager to recommend pairings that enhance the overall experience. What truly sets Antiqua apart is its ability to feel both elevated and welcoming. Whether you're there for a special occasion or a casual night out, the restaurant delivers consistently high quality in both food and hospitality. In a dining scene full of options, Antiqua Latin Cuisine stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Latin flavors with a refined twist.

Service was almost nonexistent unless you count servers yelling across the restaurant, and ignoring us. We had empty water pitchers, food that was slung on to a plate and looking at filthy tables. Professionalism was nowhere to be found. We kept wondering if a manager was going to appear... or if the entire place was being run by teenagers. It's honestly shocking because this used to be a well-managed spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Now it feels chaotic, immature, and uncomfortable for anyone expecting an actual dining experience. If you're looking for dinner, you may want to keep driving. If you're looking for a loud, awkward social experiment with margaritas, you've found your place.

Every time I have been here the place is full. Their drinks are fun. For the designated drivers and angry drunks, I've been told that most all of their signature cocktails can be made into mocktails, so you won't miss out. Their food is delicious. They have a great menu and present food well, considering this is a party bar atmosphere. Not singling out this place, but I agree with the many who complain that street tacos should not be inflated from $2 to $6, just because they are popular now. When it comes to tacos, No Manches saves itself because they have many specialty versions, like ribeye, pork belly, and even cod. In every visit, many people check in on us to make sure we're doing okay, much appreciated. Also, their salsa verde is the best of all three salsas, try to fight me on that.
