What are the odds am I right? So anyways the lady came we ordered the same fucking thing. Because me and my brother wanted Tocos and today was a special. So What the Fuck my brother ordered two Tocos I ordered two also. So our Tocos came side note I ordered the Beef my brother ordered Chicken. So the Tocos were pretty damn good what can I say. This place offers lengua tacos. Need I say more? We stopped to eat here on our way back from Racine last night. I have been here several times in the past, but not recently. I ordered the burrito dinner with a side of refried beans and rice. The burrito is one of the best I've had in this area. My wife commented that her horchata was better than any she has had, and she raved about her meal as well. The service was prompt and courteous and our waitress was fun to talk to. The prices were more than reasonable. The ambiance is casual, relaxed, and informal. Between the quality of the food, the price, and overall feel of the place, this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. read more

Hubby wanted Mexican food, I wasn't in the mood for it. Despite this, we decided to come to Sol De Mexico II anyway. We have been here many times before and have NEVER been disappointed. I scanned the menu and found a section of "American" food and ordered the mushroom swiss burger with onion rings. I took one bite of the burger and it was 'to die for'! Burger was done perfectly, bun was toasted, plenty of mushrooms and swiss cheese! Onion rings were done perfectly as well, not over fried. The waiter we had was on the ball which was impressive as he had many tables to wait on. Highly recommended!!! read more

The food is great... BUT,.. Their hours are unpredictable. I have tried several times to go there, but they are closed when they're supposed to be open. It's too bad. Bc that is a good way to lose customers. I love their chocolate cake. Best ever! Food is really fresh and tasty and the owners are sweet. I hope they don't ruin this place by not being open when they're hours say they're open. Also, when reading these reviews, please know these owners have only had this place a year or so. There are a couple things on the menu that I consistently enjoyed until the last few years when the steak tacos became way more gristle than meat. Went recently to the breakfast buffet which was always good with plenty of choices. It was completely ruined by the mold in the building!!!! The entry way is disgusting! The mold smell is overwhelming!!! I promptly forgot about it after getting in the restaurant, I was hingry! and then got sat by the door where we got a massive dose of mold every-time the door opened!!! Now this entirely the landlords fault but it means all that food is covered with mold spores and everyone in the building is getting way too much exposure to mold toxins!!! The restaurant owners or management not insisting that be remedied years ago is also completely unacceptable!!! read more

My husband and I cam here for a weeknight dinner. We walked and in and the lady told us to seat ourselves. It quickly became obvious that she was the the only server in the restaurant and it was moderately busy. She did an outstanding job by herself and was quick to get us chips and salsa. My husband ordered a few chimichangas a la cart and I ordered two enchiladas a la cart. The chimis were pretty good with the pork being the best and the fried dough was really good. So yesterday went to lunch at Sol De Mexico 2 in Wind Lake for the first time in awhile because of quality and it will be a very long time before I even think of going there again if ever. They used to be ok, never my go to but close when hungry and not wanting to go far. One of the specials was taco's, chicken or beef, for $1.50 each. Usually get corn tortillas but decided to try the hard shell, which based on the stale free chips was probably a bad idea. Get the tacos and take a bite and cannot even chew the shell and is so bad I have to spit it out into a napkin. Decide to just take all the fillings and dump them on plate. Also have to dump in a ton of salsa and borrow sour cream from daughter to give it any flavor. Waiter comes by a few times for water, soda and to bring the check but never once, as any good server would do, asks us how the food is. I try and stay local when possible but will have to keep going elsewhere now for my good, traditional Mexican food. read more

Was really good but since they have a newer lady at check out, not so much. We used to order take out EVERY Friday and asked for a little lettuce and tomato on a burrito and got it for free. Now she wants to charge us $3 extra on a $6 buritto. I just tried their taco chips too and they were soggy and tasted like they used cheese whiz.
