The LVP is lifting in areas because there are uneven surfaces. The LVP has lifted so much, that the boards are sharp where they have popped. I contacted Modern Flooring Services and they informed me that my warranty expired in February (2 months back) and that they won't be able to help me. This isn't a warranty issue, this is an installation issue. Don't use this company as they won't make good on their mistakes. They did offer to provide an estimate to repair the work, however. UMMM. No thank you.

The entire interior had just been freshly painted the day before carpet installation began. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed to see paint scratches on the walls, baseboards, and door frames from the carpet install. After checking the contract, I saw that Jay's Flooring states they aren't responsible for any damage in these areas. While the carpet itself was installed fine, I won't be hiring them again. That said, I should have read the contract more carefully.

Second, my actual experience - They are borderline fraudsters, and most likely will scam you once you sign the contract. I did a project worth $15K with them and it was a nightmare experience. First, they began adding several hidden charges, knowing that I have no other option than to stick with them. Second, they did a quite a bit of damages in my home during installation and walked away citing the contract holds them not responsible. Finally, they were tried a neat trick to charge you more - they will increase the square footage of installation, I am not talking about 10% wastage. For my 650 sq. ft carpet installation (including 10% wastage) they were charging me for 765 sq. ft. When I questioned them, they reverted it back to 650 sq. ft. Something to be careful with these people. The workmanship is just ok. Harwood installation was ok, carpet installation was a lower quality work. Here's how they work - they subcontract to another folks who in turn subcontract to another folks, this caused a lot of churn in communication and in the end, you pay for all the middleman. Lastly, they will not honor anything they mention on their website or provide any kind of warranty. The same owner has another store in Lynnwood - Wills Flooring and you will see a striking similarity in review content, language as well as posters for both the stores. All these reviewers who have given 5 stars have posted only 2-4 reviews on Google, they all have stock photos and their profiles are locked. So, please double check before trusting the reviews.

The installers spilled what appears to be juice or another liquid on our new countertop, leaving a permanent stain. There are noticeable gaps around both the front and back doors after the flooring installation. The flooring was also poorly cut and fitted around corners, leaving uneven joints and an unprofessional finish. In addition, the baseboards were not included in the project. I noticed that floor is not evenly laid out. Overall, the installation lacked attention to detail and quality. We expected professional workmanship but were left with multiple issues that now require additional repairs. I would not recommend this company based on my recent experience.

I hired Carpets by Chris to restrech my mom's bedroom carpet. The big 1-800 company from TV had…read moreinstalled it but wouldn't fix the issue without a large fee, and they refused to move any furniture. Fortunately, Carpets by Chris specializes in this type of repair and guarantees it for the life of the carpet. They also move furniture for a reasonable cost. Update: after all of the terrific work that Amaya's did for us in 2021 (see below) and again in…read more2023 when we did our kitchen renovation, we were very pleased to refer them to our son and daughter-in-law to remove carpeting and install LVP tiles in their large first floor closet. After returning from a two week trip to see relatives, they learned their cat had used this carpeted closet as a personal litter box resulting in a horrible odor that permeated their home. Despite a busy schedule, Amaya's was able to remove all carpeting and instruct these novice homeowners on how to use KILZ primer to paint some unfinished wood before returning to install the beautiful LVP tiles. Odor is now gone and their closet looks better than when brand new--all done quickly and for a very fair price. Thank you to Luis Amaya and his crew! This family owned business does outstanding work and keeps customer satisfaction as their highest priority. In 2021 Amaya's Flooring removed all floor surfaces on both levels of our house and installed oak wood flooring throughout. We have been very happy with the beautiful wood floors that Amaya's Flooring installed for us. We had just purchased a house and wanted all carpeting and existing wood floors removed so that there would be a great flow between rooms on both levels. The end result is just what we were hoping to achieve! Luis was truly wonderful to work with on every aspect of this job--always prompt, responsive, friendly, and courteous along with sending a terrific crew to do the work.
