Tom coordinated the install(main floor and stairs) and when there was a slight hiccup (ran out of material for stairs), he called and let me know they would take care of it, upgrade the product and make sure we were 100% happy with it. I've always found them to have the best prices (I usually just got restatements) but their in-stock carpets are also great quality and price. Updating review. See other review. The company said my carpet was "special order" Big issues with installer stating that carpet couldn't be installed. So they charged me for carpet because special order and for carpet installation cancellation $150. BUT the back of the carpet had another customers names on it with their name scratch off and our last name on back of carpet. So I questions if this was special order why would another customers name be on the back of OUR special order carpet. It wasnt a lot of carpet so assuming it was just left over with another customers return. Be careful and make sure you understand their contract. They won't provide refund even when they make installation mistakes when ordering. What is the worst is I had to take the full amount of mistake. Flynn took no ownership. I felt like we both should have paid for 50% of the mistake. BUT no Flynn demanded I take the full mistake of buying the carpet and paying for the cancelled installation. Only fight I have is to fight and spread the words. If they had gone 50% I would have been we had a mistake, and they were fair splitting the cost. Neighbor was over last night and looking for carpet. They were going to go to Flynn's and I said NO!!! I am considering going to same claims court, likely won't BUT because I saw the name on the back of the carpet with another customer's name crossed off, I was like this wasn't special order! This was leftover carpet another customer was buying. Also, when I went to pick the carpet up that they demanded I had to purchase that their installer said wouldn't work on my stairs The Sales Rep folded the carpet was stomping on it. Was very strange. Also, wouldn't even talk to me the whole time I was picking it up. I told him Thanks for putting the carpet in my car and he wouldn't even acknowledge me. Rude and disrespectful. read more

I'm hoping that the installation goes better then the sales experience. Scott has been the most incompetent sales person ever. From the start he never called me to do a installation quote. I finally had to call him. 7 days after going into the show room. Then after the estimate measurements were done, I waited another 10 days. Called him to get the quote. Didn't get it. Called again 3 days later. Somehow he can't figure out how to email me. So I email him. Still no quote. 3 days later, I email him again. Still nothing. Finally 3 days after this, he texts the quote. I give it to my landlord. We are ready to purchase. Price changes due to pad. But his quote is off, so he is supposed to send it again via email. Which he can't figure out! I just ask for it and write it down. Give my landlords his number. He starts calling me now. But can't seem to call my landlords back, because he loses the number twice!! I have the installation scheduled. The only reason I have stayed with Flynn's is I liked the carpet the best. But I have done more then Scott to get this stuff sold. I chose Flynn's for purchase and installation of my vinyl tile flooring based on the recommendation of my realtor, who has used them for her own house. I'm so glad I did! I worked with Anthony, who was wonderful and very communicative and responsive throughout the process. The installers did a great job, and finished earlier than I thought they would, which was great! The big reason I wanted to write the review is that after the floors were in and the painters were finishing, we found a minor issue associated with the flooring. The floor guys had finished days ago, and I had paid the final bill. I was kind of panicking because I had a tight timeline before move-in and this HAD to be fixed. I called Anthony to discuss the problem, and he made it right THAT DAY. They really could have left me hanging, but they didn't, they went out of their way to make sure the problem was resolved and I was happy. This review is long overdue. Bottom line, Flynn's is awesome. When we first came in we met with Anthony. He's just a fantastic guy and you don't feel like he's trying to sell you something you don't want or need. He showed us a variety of carpet samples and gave us several pieces to take home so we could see what they would look like during different times of the day. The ordering and scheduling process was also very smooth. On the day we were scheduled to have the carpets installed, there was a tiny hiccup with our contractor. Given the color and weight of the carpet, he wasn't sure he had the best tools for the installation. While I was bummed for the delay, I was very happy that the contractor was honest about his tooling capabilities. Flynn himself called me right away to reschedule for the following day with his "very best guy." His name is Richard and I just have to say Flynn was right. Richard did an amazing job, our carpet looks great and we couldn't be happier. I'd like to thank Flynn for the continued communication throughout the process, making sure we were satisfied in the end. It's that extra personal touch in customer service that makes all the difference in the world. We will definitely be repeat customers thanks to Flynn and his awesome team. P.S. I forgot to mention, we had the carpet installed in our living room and bonus room. It was a full day's job, but Richard was very professional, polite and cleaned up everything before he headed out. I have worked this company for several projects before and really liked there work in the PAST. However the quality of the work and integrity of employees have gone down in the past year. Recently, I had my vinyl replaced in my Mudd room and felt the installation was done with shortcuts. For example, no seal/caulking common to the exterior door and vinyl was not glued to the floor properly leaving a gaps/bubble near the door. They sent a disgruntled employee back to fix it. He didn't say much but his face expression during our conversation was enough for me to see he was annoyed that he come back to fix his short comings. Telling me some people caulk the door and some don't isn't really a good excuse to why you decide not to. I also discussed with the manager about scheduling another installation. He told me he would get back to me on the schedule date and he would call me back before close of business. I didnt hear back from him that day so I unsucessfully tried to contact him several times the next morning. Finally he called me back in the afternoon to me to tell me he is working on it and will need to get back to me. On Day 3 still awaiting on scheduling date availability. Hopefully I hear back but seems like I probably won't hear back from them unless I contact them 1st. Pretty disappointing since they have done really good job in the past for carpet installations. Maybe it's Covid or bad timing on my part or they are just good at carpets but not vinyl. read more

This company is no longer owned by Flynn, and it shows! Flynn sold the company to the new owner and retired to Arizona. We had our floors in our house replaced by Flynn 16 years ago and it was a very good experience (both cost and quality). We had the floors replaced in our rental home a couple weeks ago, and it did not go well. The installers tried to pull a fast one on us by not pulling up the existing vinyl floors (as we had paid for in our agreement/bill of sale). I stopped by the house during the afternoon and the installers were gone, but I noticed that they had prepped the floors to overlay the new vinyl over the existing vinyl. I contacted the installer, Robert, and he apologized and said that his nephew was running the crew while he was away and would fix it the next day. I believe that they did fix it the next day, but they got into the walls, doors and trim everywhere in the house and got glue, dirt and hand prints all over the newly painted woodwork, doors and walls. It is a mess! I just got finished painting everything myself and it was like new. Now I have to go around and hope that I can touch up everything (and that it blends). I took at least 50 pictures of the damage to document it. The damage is everywhere, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, hallways and even in the closets. I used to be a professional painter and I've never seen a flooring crew do so much damage (and I've worked around several hundred flooring crews). Sure, I expected a couple light touch ups, but these guys were like bulls in a China shop....really, really bad! The worst thing is that they still haven't contacted me after the job to see if the customer was satisfied. This was a much different experience than my first one with Flynn's, and I will not be doing business with them again (including our whole house remodel next year). I had a 9am start time, but nobody and had to call..... was told they were loading and would be there soon. Arturo and his wife showed up eventually but the other guy, a no show. Apparently at some point he showed, because my son said there was a guy sitting in the truck outside. Now I have carpet that took hours longer than it should have, and after my son and I moved the furniture back, bubbled carpet, not stretched right. Not happy.... Update: Spoke to Ryan, the manager. By this time, it was the next day, and now I can see a long divit running from the edge of the hardwood to the padding edge, with tacks coming up thru the carpet, which my bare feet found. He tells me this is how carpet looks at the edge. No....it isn't how the carpet that was removed looked and the carpet in my son's room looks (which was done by the same worker). His worker shows up to fix the bubble, but will not address the divit. It looks poorly done. Now waiting for yet ANOTHER person to show up to look at it, as the carpet layer would not fix the tacks sticking up thru the carpet, and did not want to add padding to the edge, as it should be. Ryan's response to me today: "this guy knows more (about carpet) than the guys I have fired"......well, Ryan, did you think that comment thru before stating it? read more

Best damn service yet! We bought a remnant roll from them... left it there for months!! Never did they complain or call and remind me it was taking up space. Our remodeling was taking longer than excepted, in my eyes. But never did they complain (I told them I'd be back in a couple weeks). When I came back in we ended up exchanging it completely for another carpet. Again, wasn't even an issue even though they had been saving the one I bought for months (at least 4). Their men installing where professional and fast! Then they had to deal with my OCD husband who they came back to fix a small mess up, nothing serious but they were on it immediately, even if it was hardly visible to me. We did a lot of shopping around for carpet. We started with Home Depot, and were about to go through with it, but when we found out who the installer was and looked them up we backed out real fast. They had a good variety of carpet on hand. Prices were comparable to other places we looked at. Their out the door price was the same as Home Depot's deal with "free installation", and they were $100-$200 less than the three other places I checked. What makes this five stars instead of four was the service. Absolutely terrific. The in-store experience was low pressure and straightforward. They were easy to schedule a measurement with and the measurement was free. They called before showing up to measure, they communicated a final estimate quickly over email, they called the day before they showed up, they called the day they showed up to give an exact estimate on time, and they called a couple days afterward to make sure everything went well. That is AWESOME. The installers were polite and quick. They were in and out in a few hours, and left with tips on a couple changes we'd have to make to the room after the carpet was installed to make sure it could breathe properly (the new carpet blocked the gap under the door, so we'll have to shave down the door a bit). If you're comparing to Home Depot, know that while they may not have an explicit installation fee, they make up for it with overpriced carpet pad and, to a lesser extent, carpet. Nothing's free. All told, I think I prefer the Flynn's method of telling me exactly why everything costs what it does instead of hiding things like installation in the price of the carpet. read more

Our experience from start to finish with Flynn's Carpet Cents in Lynnwood was fantastic. We needed to replace carpet in two rooms due to pet damage in preparation for the birth of our first child. We were on a tight budget. We really only comparison shopped between 2 stores: Flynns and Carpet Liquidators. Not only was Carpet Liquidators more expensive, their customer service was shotty. The first time we went in there we were ignored for 30 minutes. The second time we were accosted by a woman wearing too much perfume and too much jewelry who sent us on our way with samples that were mislabeled (on purpose! to prevent us from comparison shopping!). Contrast that with our experience at Flynns: We were greeted warmly the minute we walked in. All of our questions were answered. We were allowed to take samples home, TWICE! And they worked with us tirelessly to find the right carpet at the right price. We even got to work with Flynn for a bit - who is just as nice in person as he appears on TV...and yes, he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt! Anthony was great and extremely helpful, the installer was very efficient and a true expert in his trade. The job was completed on time and for a reasonable price. We had Flynn's install our carpet 4 years ago and now needed to carpet several rooms we had skipped. Flynn's no longer stocked the same carpet because it was being discontinued at the end of this year. We went into Flynn's when we were looking for carpet and they were really helpful. The guy who helped us (I can't remember his name) was great about asking what we needed the carpet for, the size of the room, etc. He also made sure if we needed haul away, and when we mentioned that the floor that the carpet was going on was concrete, he recommended that we have the floor sealed so that no moisture would creep up or seep down. Not only were the knowledgeable and fast, but their prices are great. We went into Lowes and got an estimate and not only was it twice as much without the sealant, but the guy had no idea what he was talking about. When the day came for the guys to install the carpet, they were about 45 minutes late. Other than that, they were in, installed and out within an hour. The carpet looked great and the walls where it was placed against suffered no damage. We'll be back next time we need carpet! read more

I recently purchased some carpet and had it installed. I love the commercials for Flynn's. I admit I didnt do much shopping around, but I was very happy with my shopping experience and the finished product. I love my new carpet. What I love most though is how accomodating they were, my boyfriend is a little wierd and wanted to pull up all the old carpet himself and dispose of it. This was very time consuming so it required us to have the carpet installed on two different days two weeks apart. We also needed it done on saturdays. Was looking to get new carpets for my home. I checked Carpet Liquidators, Lowes and Home Depot and Flynn's carpet seemed to give best deal. To make sure I was not missing out on anything else i went to Costco and Costco provided much better quaity carpets for the same price. I emailed Flynn asking them to give me a quote on the carpet i selected form Costco but after multiple emails and phone calls all i got back was we are trying to find the carpet to give you a quote. After a week i got tired of waiting and just went with Costco. If you are costco member and have their executvie membership you get 3% back and with no hassle and everything included as one quote Costco is the way to go. read more

We worked with Stephanie from the beginning and she was really helpful. She showed us a lot of samples and let us take some home. She was always pretty quick to answer my calls and emails. The work is all done and everything looks really good. They had to tear out all of the baseboards upstairs during the install, and I've noticed some small damage in just a couple of parts. They did a pretty good job patching it up. This was pretty expected when removing all of those baseboards though. They also had to put a lot of nail holes in the baseboards, but for some reason they only filled about 20% of them. I called Flynn's and told them and they sent the installer back out right away to fill them. All in all, I'm very happy with the work and everything looks great! read more

We went to great floors first, horrendous customer service, no explanation of options, no sense that they even care about you as a customer. We then went to Flynn's. What a world of difference. We were greeted by a happy, energetic, personable sales rep who went above and beyond to try to find what we were looking for at the best possible price. He was aware of trends, and was just great (Mark). I've lived in this area 30 years, and had never been in their store. I would highly recommend them, and would buy from them again in a minute. I can't say enough about how great this experience was! I live out of state and own a rental property in Everett. There was some flooding in the unit and laminate replacement needed. Danny went out with samples, took measurements, and communicated with me to get everything squared away. I want to give it a 3.5 star actually, but decided to go with 3 as it is definitely not a 4 star. The experience at the store was great, Anthony is very helpful and carpet is with good quality and fair prices. But I'm not quite satisfied with the installation. 1. We were working from home during the installation, the workers chatted with each other loudly and played music loudly as well. I know some construction noise is inevitable, but these noise is really not appropriate. 2. The workers did not clean the rooms very well. Dirt is everywhere in the bathroom as we replaced the bathroom floor and our bathtub and shower area are also super dirty. Small carpet debris are everywhere on windowsill and on the floor. 3. They forget to put 2 closet doors back, which takes us a lot of effort to put them back. ---------------------------------------------------- Anthony apologized for what we experienced and offer a cache back. Everything about recarpeting an entire house is hard work. From choosing a color to the install in summer heat. These guys take the time to help you choose and the installation crew are so good. We have used Flynn's to carpet our entire house a few years ago and upon completion I thought to myself "now that wasn't so hard." All of that had to do with them.
