Update: after all of the terrific work that Amaya's did for us in 2021 (see below) and again in 2023 when we did our kitchen renovation, we were very pleased to refer them to our son and daughter-in-law to remove carpeting and install LVP tiles in their large first floor closet. After returning from a two week trip to see relatives, they learned their cat had used this carpeted closet as a personal litter box resulting in a horrible odor that permeated their home. Despite a busy schedule, Amaya's was able to remove all carpeting and instruct these novice homeowners on how to use KILZ primer to paint some unfinished wood before returning to install the beautiful LVP tiles. Odor is now gone and their closet looks better than when brand new--all done quickly and for a very fair price. Thank you to Luis Amaya and his crew! In 2021 Amaya's Flooring removed all floor surfaces on both levels of our house and installed oak wood flooring throughout. It was such a pleasure working this family owned business. We started looking at floor materials last Sept. but didn't actually complete the installation until March. We stopped looking during the holidays and resumed again after the holidays. We were never once pressured to hurry and find the materials. They let us borrow as many samples as needed. Do Not go here. I went there with a Project looking for a Custom Color Carpet for my 6 unit Condos and I wanted to see how customers service was first before letting them know about my big carpet project so I kept it simple and told them I was just looking for carpet for a very small single unit home to see how they would treat the little guy. The Pendeja was kind of Rude and short with me, not willing to help with my search outside of making one quick phone call. It felt like they didn't want my Business at all. These guys did an AMAZING JOB! I finished remodeling my home and had a few areas where new flooring or refinished flooring was very much needed. I'd removed the base in my LR and had the painter refresh them. The base was reinstalled correctly, matching the miters and profiles to my satisfaction. The showroom was laid out well and the staff (Elizabeth and Jennifer) were a delight to work with. We had Amaya's remove all of our 60 year old squeaky hardwoods and replace them with vinyl plank flooring. Everything was great from start to finish. The whole team was super helpful in finding the right flooring for us, and they ended up revising their estimate three times as we kept changing our mind. They had to install 1/2 in. OSB to bring the floor height back up to the original height. All of the flooring was removed, OSB installed, flooring installed and baseboards replaced in 2.5 days! Luis came and did a free estimate to remove really old, gross carpet from a basement studio. I initially considered laminate flooring, but because the basement floors were uneven, decided to go with vinyl. I received bids from a few companies, but Luis' bid came in at the lowest.
