The shop was clean and well stocked. Ample parking, in gravel lot. Dangerous pulling out tho, due to limited view of on coming traffic. And there's a lot of it. My over all experience was ok. My billing address matched my delivery address. Their attitude was, "OMG, everybody order vanilla and you want strawberry we don't what to do". I was never allowed to speak with anybody who actually knew what they were doing or had any authority. After wasting 2-1/2 hours of my time Bud's rejected my order. In doing so they said they did not trust the full time staff at an RV park where I have rented space for years to accept delivery on the non-firearm items. I will never attempt to do business with Bud's again. Pity Yelp does not offer the ability to give negative stars.

Weird hill to die on but representative insists that lead is dangerous and is correctly incurring their fee. I also pointed out how about 80% of their bullets for loading do not incur the fee but quite a few bullets do. I'm new to loading ammo and checked with multiple reloading groups. With the same order I also purchased two biPods of a different color justin charge my credit card and said they would come with the scopes. Scopes were late in Arriving from the date he said they would come. When the scope showed up there were no bipod's with the order. I dealt with Josh for three months trying to get him to send them. I still have The correspondence text on my phone. he promised me time after time he would send them and never did. Just writing this to let other people know Josh is a crook. I saw their grand opening sale ad in the newspaper and drove down to check it out and maybe buy some gear. I put on my mask and walked into the store about 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, (during a week when Covid-19 was running rampant). I was met by a young female sales clerk not wearing a mask who approached close to me. When I asked her "aren't you supposed to be wearing a mask?" she responded "No". I noticed that NONE of the sales staff were wearing masks. A moment later the manager/owner approached me, so I asked him "Aren't you and your sales staff supposed to be wearing masks?" He said "No". I told him I was a senior and caregiver to a 94 year old veteran and needed to keep him safe. Then I asked him "isn't it the law that you and your staff are supposed to be wearing masks in a retail store?." I never raised my voice, was polite - just asked that question. He responded "No!" and told me to "please leave my store" and shooed me out. I was shocked. This is the first time in my life I have been asked to leave any establishment. Maybe the owner thinks he's being tough, or that no one can tell him what to do, or even patriotic. If so, maybe he should rethink his position in light of the dozens of veterans who have died from Covid at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, just down the road from his store. I will never go back to the Whitetail Heaven Outfitters Store in Nicholasville. NOTE: I don't know why the Yelp site is saying I'm from California. My whole family is from KY and I've lived in Lexington for 41 years. This is my first ever Yelp review.
