I had Marcos contact info for two years! My antique stove finally needed help as the oven was no longer turning on. I re contacted Marco and he promptly responded. We made an appointment for him to come and look at the stove for the following week. He arrived on time. We had a great conversation about our mutual admiration of antique stoves. Marco not only fixes antique stoves , but he also refurbishes these stoves bringing them back to life. He fixed a few things wrong with our stove and also learned that the pilot on the grillarator had been leaking gas !! For two years. We had noticed gas smell when we purchased the house and the gas company came out. They said all was fine with the stove and that there wasn't any gas leaking. The tech simply blamed it on the stove. Said " all these old stoves leak minimal gas ". Thank goodness Marco caught it. No more gas leak ! We will consider having Marco refurbish our stove. It is a pricey endeavor, but probably worth it ! This is a way over due review. I was deleting my unpublished reviews of businesses since most of them are closed now (so sad...), but I couldn't delete this one because they are still in business and also they did a fantastic job. I have a beautiful vintage stove that was made 1950s. I kept everything original to this day, shiny and clean. But the stove stopped working in winter last year. Many people told me to replace it to a latest model. Newer models are beautiful and easier to handle, but I love my antique stove. So I started searching who could repair this vintage model. Marco came out the same day I contacted him. He looked at the old stove and immediately made a diagnosis. He said he could fix, but there was one issue. Because the stove was so old, he would not be able to find the parts he needed. My heart sank. Marco then suggested that he could create something similar to the part he needed with what's available; it just wouldn't be from the brand/maker. I was ecstatic about it. Marco created parts that connected to the gas line and made sure that everything was working. While he was working, he sent me pictures of the parts and process to get my approval, so nothing would be a surprise. It's very nice to see his pride and fine craftsmanship. Marco did an excellent job giving my 1940's O'Keefe & Merritt stove a much needed tune up. He did some clean up and adjusted everything, secured the thermostat tube that was just functional but hanging precariously that I wasn't aware of and made sure the oven temperature was calibrated correctly and adjusted all the pilot lights. We have had Raymond from Antique Stove Heaven service our temperamental 1940's Wedgewood several times over the years, always with wonderful results. Last week we upgraded to my dream stove: a classic 6 burner, double oven with pie shelf I bought at an estate sale. My first call was to Raymond, to have him make sure it was safe and sound! He restarted both ovens, adjusted all the burners, and made sure everything worked perfectly. He also showed me where the restart buttons are, in case the gas ever goes out - so I can turn it back on myself and save a service call! While the restored stoves in the store are pure perfection (and priced to reflect the work involved) the service calls are quite reasonable and quickly scheduled. This is the best place to have your vintage stoves fixed. I have a Gaffer & Stattler from the 1940's, a chrome beauty. The charge to come out (all the way to Long Beach) made me a little nervous ($150) but since I've had several other out for a bit less & they were useless, I figured I'd give them a shot. OMG I should have called them before! The technician fixed things I had no idea were even repairable! I had 2 burners that wouldn't light, and the oven was difficult to keep lit. He adjusted the main pilot so the griddle wasn't constantly hot, fixed the lines running to the burners & got the oven going too. The burners were still a bit clogged so instead of charging me extra to clean them, he told me how to easily do it myself to save some $$. The broiler had never worked because the part it needed was like $300. I skipped the broiler repair for now. I'll save up to get the funds to fix the broiler & have the man from Heaven come out again to do the work. It's nice to know I can buy other vintage stoves for my rentals and there is someone who can make them work as they are supposed to work! I LOVE THEM! read more

Marco does such incredible work. He came recommended and we checked out his stove bus at the Long Beach Antique Mall. He didn't have exactly all of the features we were looking for in any of the stoves there, but he said he had a bunch of stoves at his business that he could restore. We visited and took a look. He really did have a huge collection of stoves that he's finished, in the process of, or waiting to restore. It was fun to look at all of the different stove brands, time periods, and designs. He met several cats that he says run the place. We found a stove that was exactly what we wanted. He restored it and delivered it recently and it's beautiful. Marco returned my call in less than 10 minutes, and was at my house early the next morning (which was a Saturday), even though he's in Long Beach and I'm in Newport Beach. I had a 1940s Western Holly stove and through the years I had called several repairmen that I later found out had just jimmy-rigged the fixes. Then I discovered Antique Stove Heaven and met Raymond. He was great! Knows the stove like the palm of his hand. Makes accurate fixes that LAST and was even able to help me get the stove cooler during the summer time by shutting off the burner pilots, requiring me to hand light them each time. It really cools down the kitchen in the heat of the summer. Every time he worked on the stove, he would tell and show me what he was doing. One time I smelled gas and called the gas company. the well meaning employee told me exactly what was wrong with the stove, as he turned the gas off until I got it fixed. I then called Raymond, told him what the employee had told me and Raymond found that whole scenerio to be wrong. The employee's assessment would have cost an arm and a leg requiring several new expensive parts, Raymond got the right part out, installed it and charged very little. These stoves are awesome; they don't make them like that anymore! If you are lucky enough to have one, make sure you call Raymond to keep it working like it was meant to. read more
