I don't recommend going here. They are not transparent about their prices. I got halve of my hair done in singles in the back and corn rolls in the front. They charge me full price for singles add $50 extra for length and wanted a tip. I went in thinking I was paying $185 ended up spending $250. Never again. read more

In preparation for my Disneyland trip, I wanted to get my hair braided so I didn't have to worry about the humidity, flat iron, or overall irritation I knew my hair would provide me with. This is where Antoinette come's in. I was in and out of her chair within 4.5-5 hours. Antoinette and her daughter are so sweet, fast, and efficient. Their teamwork is refreshing because I have had my hair braided before and it was nowhere near and fast as these ladies. I am extremely happy with how my Senegalese Twists came out! I was worried that Antoinette would braid to tightly, but guess what? She doesn't. If you have a sensitive scalp, don't be afraid to say so, she wants to know whether or not something she is doing is hurting you. I also love how I don't have to worry about my edges because she did not braid tightly on them at all, thank the heavens!!! What is the added bonus?!! I can put my hair up into virtually any style because it is not tight. In not even a full day, I have put my hair up in a ponytail, bun, pig tails, big bun, you get my point. If you are not sure what kind of style you want, I would suggest doing a little research before you book your appointment. That way, you can show Antoinette EXACTLY what you want. In addition, she carries hair at the shop, which is super convenient, especially if you don't know much about purchasing hair. For $180, you get super cute Senegalese Twists in a regular length, if you want them super long its about $25 extra. Side note, if you are using your card, there is a $2 charge. I guess that is how much the card chip charges for debit/credit, which I don't necessarily think should fall on the client when you are paying $150 and up, not including the cost of hair if you purchase at the shop. Usually when you do braids, is take 2 to 3 days to feel confortable with because it usually tight; Not the case with Antoinette. I sleep and be confortable the first day. I was a customer for about 2 years here's my honest review. 1st visit I showed up early. Antoinette approached me 20 min after my appt time to tell me she had an errand to run. She left... for over an hour. When the shop called to see where she was she snapped and said I can leave if i want to because she dealing with her kids. I ended up staying because I could not find another braided on such short notice. Braids came out nice so I said I give her another try. 2nd visit was fine. 3rd visit she rushed through my hair because she had another client. Twist in the front looked nothing like the rest of my head. She said I would have to come back to get it fixed but I didn't have time to return. I was leaving on a trip. Wore my hair in a bun the whole time. 4th visit she neglected to tell me she moved. I call once I arrive and see she isn't there. Get the new address from her. I show up 15 min late because I was at the wrong shop. She isn't even there showed up 20 min later. 5th visit made an appt. She advertised that she sold Hair at my prior appt. So in my appt request I asked her to confirm she had the hair I wanted. Appt made a month in advance. Text her the day before to see if she wanted coffee or breakfast. She responded GO GET HAIR. I asked if that meant she doesn't have the hair I wanted she said again GO GET HAIR. Never said no thank you to the original question asked. I asked why she didn't tell me sooner she no longer has Hair. It was 7pm the day before my appt. She told me get up early and go get some. I asked if I could be late. My appt was at 9. Where was I going to get Hair at 8am. She got upset and said be there at 10. So I got up and went driving around for Hair so I wasn't so late for the appt. found some told her I'd be there at my sched time. She said no come later. Okay I show up to the shop the next day. She moved and neglected to tell me. So I drive to her. Get my hair done. I have a Mohawk and undercut. She said my total was 225 when it's usually 150 because I don't have a lot of hair. She said because she moved she was charging me 75 more and told me it was for rent. Last appt. I book for a 1pm. Get a call at 11 that she is running behind come in at 2. Showed up at 2. She didn't say hello sorry I'm late NOTHING. I sat there until after 330. She calls me over and I start to let her know it's kinda rude to not at least speak. This woman tells me don't come back she don't need my business. I don't need to tell her when she makes mistakes. If she upsets me oh well she is running her business how she wants.
