Fair Oaks Farmhouse Restaurant & Farm - A Hidden Five-Star Gem!…read more We visited the Fair Oaks Farmhouse Restaurant and Farm, and let me just say -- we were blown away. We came in thinking it would be a simple little farmhouse dining experience, but what we got was nothing short of five-star elegance. The moment we walked in, we were struck by how beautiful and upscale the setting was -- warm, inviting, and unexpectedly refined. The service? Impeccable. Every member of the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of like VIPs. Now the food -- five-star quality across the board. Every bite was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The drinks were crafted with just as much care, and the attention to detail made everything feel elevated. And don't get me started on the homemade ice cream -- absolutely the bomb. Smooth, rich, and fresh. The perfect way to end an already amazing dinner. What started as a casual stop turned into one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. If you're anywhere near northern Indiana, do yourself a favor and make the trip to Fair Oaks Farms. You won't regret it. Fair Oaks Farmhouse Restaurant & Farm - A Hidden Five-Star Gem! Bathrooms are clean and they have some fresh made treats to purchase. Picked up an egg salad sandwich and little baggies of various cheese. They also had hand pies that I might have to try next time. The egg salad sandwich had very nice soft bread and nice flavor. Would make a stop here again in a heartbeat.

It was very clean. It's small, so be prepared for a wait during peak times. It seems 6:30 is when it fills up. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a good variety and something for everyone. The spinach dip was excellent. The bread was toasty but soft. It was a nice portion to split between three people. For dinner my mom and I had the rueben, and my friend the steak sandwich. The rueben was a bit messy but very good. The roasted red potatoes were. My only complaint was the fries were over seasoned. My friends steak sandwich was very good. He said the meat was cooked perfectly, and a nice portion. We split the raspberry cake. It was huge. It could have been a bit more moist, but the flavor was great. It was $12, so be prepared for that. Overall if we are in the area we would visit again.

We started with an appetizer that hit the spot--light and crispy chicken rolls with a spicy dipping sauce was the perfect way to start our meal. From there, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, which was cooked well, and flavored nicely! Nothing extremely unique but it tasted fresh, and the sriracha aioli adding the perfect zing

The quality is good. You place your order as soon as you enter. We were unsure as to how it worked so went to look at the salad bar. It was ok nothing spectacular. They also had soup. All food in this area is weighed and you pay by the ounce. Reminded me of a hospital cafeteria except it was more expensive. I was never sure how much per ounce. A friend had the chicken salad sandwich which was on the most wonderful croissant. Chicken salad is very thickly applied. It was good not over the top but good also we split a coconut cream pie. It was on the heavy side a lot of coconut and not much pudding. I like my coconut cream nice and fluffy. . For a very small salad and the chicken sandwich, it was 39. Dollars a bit much.

Then the worker came over to check how our food was and if we needed anything else. Highly recommend the BLT or the BBQ Grilled Cheese. If you do the meal, get the parmesan ranch style chips. The portions were great! The interior has a small store and a dining area beside the salad bar. The restroom is small but has a baby changing area if needed.
