Out of all the Mexican restaurants in Kokomo Dos Molinos has a special place in my heart. This place is a little hole in the wall, not any real big signs, and doesn't look glamorous outside. They recently redid the inside a little and added more seating which is a huge plus. The service here has always been great, never a bad experience and I've been probably 10+ times. Always incredibly friendly and quick. I am moving on to hands down the most important part of this review the food. I will say I've only ever had one item and this menu and it's the glorious Beef Fat Burrito. Now if you don't know Dos Molinos runs a special Friday - Sunday for a $5 Beef Fat Burrito. This thing is a STEAL for $5. It's been a top 5 discovery for mankind finding this thing. I hold it dearly to my heart. Went here tonight for dinner and everything was super tasty. My boyfriend's parents live about 10-15 minutes away and know the owner. I originally was going to get the taco combo plate, which comes with three tacos, Mexican rice, and beans, but the meat choices were chicken or beef, so instead I did three a la carte tacos with chicken, carnitas, and steak. The steak one was my favorite of the three. They were topped with raw onions and cilantro, and served with some grilled onions that were on the side. The tortillas themselves were traditional corn tortillas. My boyfriend got a burrito with steak and chicken, which was topped with shrimp and served with queso, and he said it was very good too. We also all split a pitcher of frozen margaritas which were good, and you can choose flavors too although we just did traditional lime. We did have to ask for glasses of water a few times, which is not a big deal. Overall the food and drinks here were tasty, though. read more

I was surprised that this restaurant has lunch specials over the weekend. The best was the complimentary crunchy chips and salsa! So, I am giving this place 4 stars. A smaller, kind of hole in the strip mall kind of place. The server was VERY attentive (and busy). This is the first Mexican restaurant that I have found in Indiana that actually reminds me of what I found living in Corpus Christi. They make a point to as as you are seated if you want hot or mild salsa - but even the "hot" isn't really something I would think of as hot. We frequently eat At Dos Molinos because the food is always well prepared. The have a few items on the menu that we have not found at other Mexican restaurants. Yes!! I've been living in Texas for about 5 years now, so I'm very spoiled when it comes to Mexican/Tex Amex and finding good Mexican when I'm visiting my parents can be difficult. I found Dos Molinos on Yelp and the food looked fantastic. So, I suggested this place for a meet up with my friend. The menu was full of delicious sounding dishes, but in the end we chose Arroz Con Pollo (your typical white girl dish haha). The meal came with tortillas on the side and we also snagged a queso dip as well. The salsa is tasty. Everything was so good. The restaurant is small but seemingly perfectly sized because it was never overly crowded even with the steady stream of customers coming and going. The employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's probably more Americanized version of Mexican food, but it was still so good. 10/10 I would very much recommend! read more

Our overall opinion on Dos Molinos is Meh... Probably will not return here again, especially since there are better Mexican restaurants right around the corner. Good things I can say about this restaurant: Chips were delicious, service staff was outstanding, friendly and on the ball, steak tacos were pretty good, delivered hot and served with a tasty verde salsa. Side note: Guacamole was interesting, fairly spicy which is unusual. Now for the bad: salsa was boring and bland, restaurant was dark and cold with a lack of decorations and the menu prices are quite high. Three steak tacos and rice and beans was about $12. We've had the same for about $6. Overall not a terrible experience, just nothing outstanding to say about this place. When the server said they'd been open for a year and a half we were surprised, definitely have the newly opened vibe going on here. read more

This is without a doubt my favorite local mexican place. The food tastes very authentic and delicious. The service is fantastic.

I got the pollo molino. Didn't get my warm tortillas. Was supposed to be with rice and beans but it was not with. It was on top of the rice and beans. Also Had a #1 combo. It was missing the taco, it was supposed to be included. The chips that came with salsa tasted like they were sitting out for a few days. It was a take out order, Got home and was very disappointed. I even asked the girl who took my order if tortillas were included and she said yes. This is my FIRST AND LAST visit. Not good idea to eat there. Much better Mexican restaurants around. I just ate here and the service was alright a little forgetful mixing up a slushy margarita for iced and i seen food on the waiter counter that sat there for around 20 minutes and when we asked when my steak burito molino was done she said a few minutes its still being cooked and she walked over grabbed the food sitting there for 20 minutes and said its hot it just came out the oven when it was cold read more

Overpriced for what you get. Queso was runny and my fajitas had a lovely red plastic red bag tie in it. If you order queso to go they charge you for chips which makes three orders of queso and chips just about $20.00. read more
