I've been wanting to get to this restaurant and happened to be nearby so I went for it. This establishment serves food from the Dominican Republic. The young lady who took my order was friendly and assured me that I would enjoy their food. I got there around 5pm and it seemed like she was closing down even though the sign said they closed at 7pm. There was no one else in the restaurant and it's only for take out. The restaurant was clean and is decorated with cultural items. The menu is not extensive but it's very traditional. I ordered their Arroz Morro with bistec encebollado and it came with a piece of maduro (for my husband, I'm vegetarian). Translated means white rice cooked together with black beans, steak with onions and a piece of ripe plantain. It was a healthy portion and everything was cooked well. Unfortunately she couldn't assure me that they had any vegetarian items so I just ordered for my husband. I was disappointed with the lack of any vegetarian options.

The food here is authentic and flavorful. What really stood out was the customer service. The staff is welcoming and even let us sample some items before we ordered, this made it so easier to choose what we wanted. To top it off they surprised us with desert on the house, such a nice gesture. That extra touch made the experience feel even more personal.

We recently got a Too Good To Go bag from here and we were really surprised by the quality of this food! It was delicious! We haven't had this kind of food before and it really made me question why I haven't. I think when I was younger I was nervous to try things in case I wasted food and money if it wasnt for me. This was a really pleasant surprise which will get us to come back for sure. Love the chicken and plantains!

Love my Malta and my red country club with condensed milk.

Finally finding my people in the 757. Food was delicious, and the girl who took care of us was amazing. The place is very clean and the ambience invites you to stay and get a little bit of everything I'll definitely be back. Loved it!

I found this spot when I was going to the hair salon next door. I went in for a little snack. They did not disappoint. The empanadas and the quipes were the best I've had in the 757 and gently the best I've had since DR ! I also tried the oxtail later on and it was pretty good not the best I've had in the 757 but still good. The staff were great and very welcoming and the service was fast. It's a cute cafe it is a bit small and they do have limited seating but it's perfect for getting lunch to go.

They quickly moved us to a larger table when our party of 5 turned into 8 because of surprise guests! It was a long overdue reunion. A few of us were craving the Pastelon, since we are fans of sweet plantains, but sadly, they didn't have it available that evening. However, our kind server said we could order mofongo with the sweet plantains, so we decided to give it a try. We chose the steak strips and fried pork versions. Everything was delicious! We always enjoy the variety of the menu. Plus, the expanded dining room spaces make the restaurant very welcoming. Our party of 8 was treated well, and we all enjoyed our meals!

Since we were in the area and wanted to grab a small bite to eat, we decided to stop in. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and the restaurant smelled amazing, so we couldn't wait to grab a drink and order our favorites. We decided to sit at the bar, so we were given menus to look over and the bartender was very nice. I ordered the Spicy Passionfruit Margarita and my daughter ordered the Rican Rum Punch. Both were good but I enjoyed the Margarita much better! Since we weren't very hungry, we chose our favorites which were the Arroz con Gandules and the Relleno de Papa, which is a mashed potato ball filled with savory, ground beef. The food was flavorful and absolutely delicious! They also have a pink sauce, which is a ketchup/mayo mix, but it always pairs so well with the food. Everything was so good, we put in another order of both to take home lol. De Rican Chef never disappoints! After all these years, their food still tastes just as good as it did the first time we went! If you're looking for great, Puerto Rican food, definitely stop in!!!

Pre-pandemic, this was a place where we would have dine-in visits with friends of ours from a social group or just the two of us. It was probably close to a year since we last appeared so it was time to stop by. Similiar to the past visits, I called in our orders. They greeted me promptly when I walked in where there was only one table occupied. Quick and easy. For our orders, which both served as dinner and lunch for work at our respective sites, we chose their Cubano sandwich with our usual sides (fries for myself and plantains for Sophia). As always, the sandwich was pretty good packed with ham and roasted pork, pickles, cheese and mustard (both had no mayo). I would've liked for more fries in the box, but I had enough for both servings. La Pena Horeb came through once again. You know I'll be ordering takeout from here down the road. Till next time :)
