This family on food truck serves the best Papusas I have ever had in my life! If you don't know what that is kind of like a Salvadoran hot pocket. They use a dough similar to a corn tortilla Maza and fill it with a variety of different types of fillings depending on your preference. Do they do them to perfection? Yes they do.

If you want a pupusa without all the grease, this is the spot. I ordered ahead of time using the phone number on Yelp. The lady that answered was very friendly and clear. She took my order and my name. She then said she would have them for me soon. I was shocked, "soon"!! Yes! Pupusas without the long wait I always experience. Did she finad a way to streamline her pupusa making or was she just fast? I arrived to the gas station where the food truck is parked, per Yelp address, and yes they were ready!!!!! I ordered two pupusas of cheese with "loroco" (flower), and two "revueltas" (mixed). I enjoyed both. I especially like when the cheese oozes out and gets cooked and crispy, giving a tasty crunchy edge to the pupusa. The salsa and veggies were also flavorful. I am definitely coming here again to try additional foods. The lady was also friendly in person! The experience was great. For those not familiar with the area, it is at a gas station in Bellevue. There is parking to the right of the food truck. The phone number is correct on Yelp.

We first tried pupusas in LA a few months ago, and since then we've been looking for pupusas around Seattle. This food truck came up in my search, so I came to get some for lunch. At $3 per pupusa, I thought it was a little bit pricey. I ordered one pork+cheese, one pork+beans+cheese, and one loroco+cheese. Had a wait about 10 mins, which I thought was a bit long... But when I drove back and started eating, I was pleasantly surprised! The pupusas were still piping hot after ~20 mins of driving. All three were delicious! When we have another pupusa craving, we will definitely be back!

This is a food truck located at the gas station next to Crossroads Park. It sells Mexican and El Salvadoran food and it's very good! So far, I've only had the bean and cheese pupusas but they sell many other things. The pupusas come with a yummy spicy cabbage salad (curtido) and hot sauce. I'm looking forward to trying some other things on the menu, some of which I've never even heard of before. I hope they stay here in this location for a long time!

U got to make it here!!!!

Sooooo happy I found a place like this on the East side No more driving to Everett!!!!:) They have a little bit of everything, but just went for the raspados aka shaved ice Mexican elote, and duro. The Elote (corn) was amazing it came with chili powder, cotija cheese and mayonnaise. If you have never had corn like this you are missing out I know it sounds interesting but the taste is amazing remind of California and Mexico. The corn was just perfect!!! The raspados were delicious they make their own vanilla and tamarind flavors. Just look at the pics.

We opted for the drink as we were heading to a friend's for dinner. I got the ensalada while my boyfriend got the horchata and I appreciated how the cashier asked if we wanted ice or not. We also saw some cute Halloween decorated conchas and saw that for four of them was 9.95 so got that to share with our friends. The conchas were delicious and not too sweet. There was plenty of parking near the location. When you enter, you see the restaurant half which is a lovely, cozy space that can seat many customers of all party sizes. They have a section for napkins, utensils and to go boxes too. If you go to the left, that is the bakery as well as small store of different goodies. They had all types of pastries, cakes, and snacks that you can choose from. The prices seem fair. When we entered the bakery side, the employees welcomed us and told us to let them know if we have any questions. Very friendly and quick service! We definitely want to come back to try their pastries, cakes, and food again. They also do have a point system that you can sign up for to get discounts and even a birthday reward too.

You can order cakes 2 days before hand but they also had plenty of ready to go cakes available when we came that day. They had big and small cakes in all different flavors. However, they specialize in different versions of their tres leches cakes, including their popular mango one. Before I tell you about the cake we got, I have to mention one of their coconut cream filled puff pastries I got there. It was easily one of the best freakin thing I had in Seattle. I don't even remember what it was called but it was a large sugar coated flaky puff pastry sandwich that had the best coconut house made whip cream inside. It was insanely good and you need to get it if they have it. Delicious! As for our cake, we went with a small 6 inch Piña Colada tres leche cake ($50). We were a little disappointed the guy behind the counter didn't speak English so it made it difficult to tell him what we wanted. We honestly would have ordered much more items if we were able to communicate. It was also a little disappointing that during our short smooth drive back to our hotel that two of the decorative cherries on the cake had fallen off. Not a big deal since I popped them back on but I didn't feel like that was something I had to do. Everyone we shared the cake with enjoyed it. It was very moist and definitely on the sweet side. It was two layers and the pineapple flavor wasn't overwhelming. The small cake was perfect to share with about 10 people. I did think the cake pricing is a little high but not too bad. Besides their full bakery they are also have a full dining menu and places to sit in the restaurant. They offer all sorts of Salvadoran foods. But like I mentioned communicating in English was difficult with the man there so we didn't order. Although I want to try their empanadas. Parking here was also easy since they have their own lot.

Like Mexican restaurants if you can make a good taco, a lot of the other food is worthwhile. I got it to go and when I got to eat I basically had to deconstruct it so I pick out the bad parts. I ordered a chicharon con queso papusa. I really know chicharrones well and regularly buy them from small carnicerias and Philippine delis and though the style is somewhat different from place to place I know what is good and not. This was a bunch of fat gristle mostly with a weird cheese consistency. My first clue in this horribly dangerous neighborhood was the outside but I didn't trust my gut. Instead I punished it! I'm not sure if El Patio is named after the big outdoor area in front that is right on the worst part of Aurora with hookers and homeless but it's a horribly run down building. That doesn't always deter me if the food is good. I also felt like they don't like white people or perhaps the attitude from the lady was just because I got a small order to go?? I've noticed now that their reviews going back to say 8 years ago show generally good reviews and pictures of outside that show brightly painted patio type seating and umbrellas and a clean exterior. Fast forward to now and the place is a dump that shows that they don't care. I truly felt that in their service and food and many more recent reviews say the same. I call this "alternatives to traditional Mexican food" and there are so many other great choices for that in our area!

The slaw was refreshing and cuts the heaviness of the meal (it has mangos!!). Add some of their spicy sauces if you want more flavor! It's spicy but not too bad. Checked out the menu and saw some new thangss including a loco moco? You know I had to try em out. I mean.... It's solid hahaha. Still comes w the standard slaw + beans + rice + maduros. Their version of loco moco is a patty + special gravy + one egg on top. I mean for $14 or whatever, it's not the worst esp when ya factor in quality + quantity. I just wish there was a way they could separate out the slaw/beans w the actual loco moco part of the plate. That way I could actually just taste the gravy, rice, patty, egg components alone.

(those burritos are massive omg.) the mole enchiladas were SOOO good, as were the cashew poblano enchiladas. their sauces are so yummy and the presentation was on-point for both enchiladas. i also had a bite of my friend's carne en morita which is a slow cooked pork dish, and i was obsessed. the only thing i'd say to pass on would be the tacos. drinks were also great and had amazing presentation. i was very satisfied with my carajillo and my friend's passion fruit mojito was also very tasty (you could NOT taste the alc in it i swear) overall, koko's is a great spot if you're looking to dress up for a cute night out but also craving some tasty mexican food.
