Visiting CK's cousin in Seattle and she took us here. The line had about 6 people when we arrived. The menu is limited with some meat and vegetarian options, which I find to be a good thing because they know what they're good at. Small parking lot shared with Benjamin Moore Paint I think and a small coffee shop. There is some benches for seating and a couple picnic tables. I had two tacos (chicharron & encebollados) and found it filling where I didn't feel overstuffed. The tortilla's are like dinner size (not street taco size) and doubled up. The amount of protein they put into it is literally PERFECT. They don't overfill but it's definitely enough, and the way they place the portions, it doesn't overflow or spill out. Minimal mess to clean up afterwards. I thought the chicharron pork rinds would be crispy, but it wasn't as there was a chile sauce on top. I still enjoyed it and found it flavorful, even though the texture had changed. CK let me try the cochinita pibil and it was flavorful, and more of my preference. My favorite had to be the encebollados (steak w/ sauteed onions). Flavorful, sliced in good portions, and wasn't dry it at all since there was a good amount of sauce on there. I loved these tacos so much. Cute little taco truck with outdoor tables for seating behind and to the side of the truck and easy parking. What's not to love? Honestly I loved the zucchini taco more than the meat ones and next time will try all the veggie on the menu! Delicious. This is probably a hot take, but I think this place is overhyped. I'm not a vegetarian, so maybe this place is more worth it for vegetarian options but the meat tacos are just okay. We tried all 5 of their meat options and they weren't particularly impressive. Their style of taco isn't the most typical for street tacos and their tortillas are definitely a bit bigger. The toppings for each meat are also pre-determined and not the traditional onions and cilantro. Best vegetarian tacos I've ever had!!! My family loves this place! I've even come here for my birthday meal for two years now. We love the sauce and spice. The women here work hard! Wait time is long but well worth it. Your food will never ever be cold. My favorite tacos to get are the broccoli and tinga. My mom and brother are vegetarian and pescatarian so they enjoy the Papas y Rajas tacos. My brother asks for extra spicy. Less tasty is the calabazas (zucchini & corn). Sitting under the trees while waiting for food is pleasant, or eating at one of their picnic tables under the pines. The people are friendly and helpful. When I heard this is the best taco in Washington I knew I had to try it. I came at 12:45 on a Saturday and there were plenty of free parking spots and a short line. Within 15 min I was able to place my order, and was told it would take 25-30 min. I was asked if I wanted them "extra spicy" so I said sure. They did give me an order number which I (and everyone who ordered before and after me) immediately forgot, but the woman who took our orders helped us out. I went and got gas nearby and sat on one of their many benches while waiting until I received my hot tacos. The "extra spicy" seems to be an additional layer of hot sauce which added some flavor, which was definitely a good touch. The papas (potatoes) taco was delicious. Potatoes were nice and crisp and the cheese was great. The tinga (chicken) was really tender, great flavor, and maybe didn't need the hot sauce but definitely added some additional heat! Good, modern tacos served in a food truck off of Gilman in Issaquah. When I went, it was on a Wednesday and it is an observed holiday, but they were open, so it looks like it is as crowded as a Saturday. I went around 12:15pm and it took about 5 min to order but another 30 minutes exact to get the order, so be prepared to wait. Tacos were above average but a lot of the experience went down because they used to do the combo to try more variety but now they only offer large tacos, so you are forced to only be able to get 2-3 kinds and be full and have to come back, a luxury that a lot don't have. I got the cochinita pibil and encebollados from the meat options, and the bruselas from the vegetarian options. By doing so, I make do with the variety on hand and get to try how they do the meat and vegetarian options. The tacos come with various toppings, like pickled onions from the cochinita pibil and feta from bruselas (brussels sprouts). I liked the brussels sprouts and encebollados the most, as the cochinita pibil was a bit on the salty side. I'd say this is a good spot, but it is overhyped so don't bother going for lunch but rather at an off time. read more

I got three tacos which I recommend as a portion size unless you're particularly hungry. These tacos are full! I got the cochinita pibil, encebollados, and rajas which were all delicious. The meat ones are juicy and have the perfect balance of flavors from the pickles or onions, while the vegetarian option I got (rajas) had plenty of kick from the smokiness and sauce. The wait can be kind of long but it means your tacos are made fresh to order and come out piping hot. Xochi is a food truck located in a small parking lot in Issaquah. I've heard high marks about this place and I've been trying to find my Seattle taco spot so I wanted to try it out for lunch. Unfortunately they no longer have the taco combo where you can buy five smaller tacos, but I still wanted to sample as many as possible. Their single tacos are $4.98 each and are bigger than the size of the taco combo ones, and I ended up trying all five of the meat options. TINGA - I thought this was just okay. It was juicy but not super flavorful. 3/5 ENCEBOLLADOS - This was very flavorful and had a nice char to it. There was no sauce but it didn't need it. 5/5 CHICHARRÓN - This was pretty interesting; chicharrón is normally crunchy but it had a weird texture now that it was soft. It was spicy and had good flavor but the texture was a bit off for me. 3.5/5 COCHINITA PIBIL - This was a simpler taco and I liked the pickled red onions but it was just okay. 3.5/5 CHORIZO - There was good flavor in this taco and I liked the addition of the potato. This one was good. 4/5 Of all the ones I tried my favorites were the encebollados and the chorizo. Some of them had really good flavors which even made me intrigued by their veggie tacos. I was looking through Yelp for somewhere fast to eat in Issaquah and stumbled upon Xochi. It has pretty great reviews and for good reason. Xochi is located in a little parking lot shared with another little cafe cart that sells coffee and baked goods. When I stopped by on a random afternoon for lunch, there was a huge crowd of customers gathered around the Xochi cart. The lady working the register was super smiley and friendly. It was obvious she loves working here and it motivated me to buy more so great job to her. I decided on 4 tacos: the one with peppers, the one with Brussels sprouts, pork with pickled red onions and the beef. Of all 4, I liked the pepper one the most. They were all delicious, but I'd go back for the pepper one for sure. And I got that one thinking I wouldn't like it. Strange. The tacos were served hot after about a 15 minute wait. The fresh cheese and different robust flavors of the tacos really paired well and I found myself enjoying every bite. There was a lot of filling in each one too, because I was skeptical of the price when I was ordering and then understood why they were so expensive once I started eating. Since moving to Seattle I've been on the hunt for chicharron tacos. The soft melt in your mouth kind. Well Yelp Washington posted a video about Xochi and so when i went to their page the first post was one of the chicharron tacos i was looking for!! So I shared with hubby and we went immediately. OHMYGAWD. Why are y'all gate keeping Xochi? I mean I get it. The tacos are everything. Made fresh to order and expect a wait. Ours was 30 minutes but luckily I read some reviews on Yelp and was prepared for said wait. It was the perfect day on our visit so we are able to sit with some sun and shade in the picnic area next to the truck. I was told that they had combination plate with 5 tacos for $15.00 but on our visit today they did not. Only single tacos for $4.95 each. To note, when I asked about the combination plate the young lady said that 3 single tacos would equal the same amount of food for five smaller tacos on the combination plate and be the same price. So me and my man went with 4 each. Between us we had chicharron x 5, encebollados x 2, and one cochinta pibil. The young lady asked if we knew what the chicharron tacos were. I said yes, I saw the photo on their IG page. And she said a lot of people think they are crunchy and hard. I said oh no, we know. We've been on the hunt for these since we moved out here. These are solid tacos! $5/taco. We tried all the meat ones and then Rajas for veggie. They're all good, but the ones I would get again are: pork grinds, steak, and pork (in order of preference). The flavors in each were amazinggg! The least flavorful was the chicken. My husband really enjoyed the Rajas, but hard for me to compare with the meat ones. I would try another veggie one next time + repeat the 3 meat tacos I liked. There are a few picnic tables that you can utilize. Saturday 12:30pm - 40 min wait for 6 tacos. THE BEST TACOS!! EVER!! I made a quick trip to Issaquah and did not have time for a sit down restaurant. Saw this place, food looked good and it was a food truck so I thought perfect! Quick in and out! Anyhow, Great service, nice place out back to sit, relax and enjoy the food and the tacos. Everyone loves Taco's, but these take it to another level. The flavors are awesome, I tried four including one veggie and everything was world class, plus, they had a nice bit of heat to them too!
