    Pabellon bowl

I been to their og location at uw before and really like their arepas. I decided to try other items on the menu this time. You pay at the counter and they bring out the food to you and you bus your own table. It's not too bad. It was pretty busy when we came but it wasn't too loud. I got the pabellon bowl which was basically rice, beans, plantains and shredded beef. It was a very hearty dish. The flavor was just ok though, almost bland. The portion was good, but I don't think it justifiy the $20 price. Overall, I probably will stick with the arepas next time.

Decent Venezuelan (and a touch of Colombian) food. Meats are a bit dry, but overall the food here is good.

Pretty good find! Cute little spot in factoria mall with a large menu! I've never had an arepa before so I wasn't sure what to get, but we tried the Reina Pepiada and the combo with the Pabellion , tequenos, and strawberry lemonade. The Reina pepiada is chicken and avocado and it was okay, 2.5/5 for me personally. It was very mayo/avocado heavy and honestly reminded me a bit of canned chicken. I really enjoyed the breading though! The pabellion was 4.5/5! Shredded beef, beans, plantain, and cheese. The cheese was nice and melted and the beef and great flavor! The tequenos were also very good, 4.5/5! We really enjoyed them in the cilantro dressing. Nice and crispy on the outside with yummy soft cheese on the inside. The strawberry lemonade was super strong and sweet so we added quite a bit of water to it. 3/5 Definitely interested in coming back to try more arepas and different appetizers!

Conveniently located in Factoria Square mall, I stopped here for lunch after doing some shopping. It is a cute restaurant that looks like a house and has seating on the "patio" where you can people watch or enjoy the lovely artistic displays in the mall. When I say cut it is pretty small and it feels like they tried cramming one too many tables in but that hardly affected my experience. I found there was a good selection of arepas and a few other items. I would've liked to see pictures of each (this was my first time ordering an arepa) and the difference between Colombian and Venezuelan empanadas. Besides that, the prices were decent at around $14. I ended up ordering the Miss Piggy with their signature pork, spinach, tomatoes and cilantro sauce and found it to be very tasty and large! Note that it is a little messy to eat as mine was dripping liquid, but worth it. Very good food here especially for being inside of a mall with friendly service and prices that won't break the bank. Last note: when ordering they did say it will take about 20 minutes to make the arepa, however it only ended up being 10 minutes. This has sparked my interest in arepas and will have to try some other varieties now.

They offer 6 different sauces! Curry, Spicy, Cilantro, Bacon, Garlic, and Chipotle

Wow! What a hidden gem! This place is amazing. Totally caught me by surprise. I have tried Venezuelan food before so I am not completely new to the cuisine. But I have not tried "Arepa" before. The bread tastes and feels like Tamale and wow! It really adds unique texture and flavors (that corn taste!). I got to try two different Arepas - Pabellon (shredded beef, black beans, fried plantains, and some sort of grated white cheese) and Miss Piggy (pulled pork, spinach, tomatoes, and cilantro sauce). Both were ridiculously flavorful. I prefer the Pabellon though. The cheese really added that savory taste and fountain contributed a bit of sweetness that balanced thing out. I highly recommend it. Miss Piggy was also very good. Because it had more veggies, it had more of that bright taste profile with more texture. Cilantro sauce really was something! Please note that the restaurant has a sauce station near the entrance of the restaurant. It is very easy to miss if you dont look around, so make sure to find it. They offer 6 different sauces and all 6 are different and excellent. My favorite is cilantro and bacon! Each Arepa costs between 11.75 and 14.99. It isn't exactly cheap but it is quite filling. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place. Service is great too and the venue is bigger than it appeared. With lots of seatings inside and right outside the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try their Empanadas next time!

Delicious dinner from Arepa. We ordered Sweet Plantains with cheese and a Catira Arepa (shredded chicken with cheddar cheese). Both dishes were delicious and good size portions. Staff was very friendly. We used to dine at the Seattle location and were so happy when they opened nearby last year.

The restaurant is tucked away inside of Factoria mall so it might be a little difficult to find for those who aren't familiar with the area. I will echo someone else's thoughts here, that the flavors were alright to us. We got the mini arepas and two Venezuelan empanadas, one beef and one chicken. The mini arepas were evenly crispy on the outside but the consistency of the inside threw us off a bit. Maybe we just aren't familiar with arepas but we had expected it to be less doughy (having tried a non-mini arepa before) and hotter on the inside. For the empanadas, we were told it would be 10 minutes but they took nearly 30 minutes for them to come out, even with few people in the restaurant. The flavors were fine.

What a hidden gem! This is their new Bellevue location that's located in Factoria mall. They serve full sized platters, drinks, and their iconic arepas. I got their most popular arepa which is the pabellón arepa. Delicious! The shell was crispy and it was filling. Also very affordable. Service is not the fastest but you don't need to wait in line and can grab a seat with a number, they will find you. Not the biggest place since it's in a mall but there is a decent amount of seating.

A great addition to Factoria Mall! Treats from Columbia and Venezuela. Getting your arepa as a combo includes a drink as well as a side (the baked plantains, fried tostones or an empanada). We love this place.

This was my first Venezuelan. I had the arepa queen (shredded beef). Mighty tasty bites them arepas.areas. Reminds me of a gyro but with corn flour instead of wheat! I'd be willing to come back and try the platter next time.

10.9.2023 I was just stopping by target but I remembered my Venezuelan coworker was taking about this place just opened in Factoria, so I decided to try their food! He recommended tequenos with cilantro sauce but I was full after tried their empanadas! Their empanadas are Colombian style but it was delicious with shredded chicken with vegetables. Restaurant was very clean and all staff were very friendly. They welcomed us with big smile!

Opened Summer 2023. Food- excellent as the University District mother restaurant. Cheesy, heavy, high protein goodness. Variety of self serve sauces are mayo based - with mild flavor differences. Ambiance- homey/mall feel with plenty of seating options. Variety of dessert, drinks and other food menu items. Service- nice. Momma pop feel. Location- Factoria mall, closer to Target, next to the boba joint. Value- fair pricing for an arepa. But how many other restaurants sell arepas? Recommend- yes!!

Anyways, we stopped here for a quick bite, since it has a very unique Venezuelan arepas that you cannot find anywhere else in the city. We got the sifrina and the Seattle arepas, and the portions were ridiculously generous. The shredded beef and the cheese filled up the fluffy yet crispy arepa shell, which was a delight to eat. It also has a row of different sauces to try on the table we sat down, which made the whole experience more fun. Trying out chipotle sauce and comparing it to garlic habanero sauce was just added an additional layer of fun to eating it in the restaurant. The service was quick and helped us answer how they were prepared. You couldn't ask for more at a place like this. The vibes in the restaurant also definitely improved, since the last location. Much cleaner and more spacious. With the ample parking spots nearby too, it should be easy to access this location from now on. At any rate, amazing Venezuelan arepas place. I'd recommend if you were hankering for a good Latin American food place. Or if you needed some hangover curing greasy food!

I discovered Arepa several years back in Raleigh in NCSU campus and always felt that's the best Arepa I ever had. But then comes this place which absolutely set the bar even higher. Their Arepas are really good - given I just tried a black bean Arepa - no meat. I loved it. I also enjoyed their sauces and it is just fun to experiment with different sauces and enjoying the flavors. I won't be surprised if all their sauces were housemade. My friend got Chicken Empanadas and this was first time he was having Venezuelian food - he really liked it. We also tried Flan - it was okay. You probably don't want to try lot of desserts here. I'll start with the beef, as it was the primary component of the dish. Despite it being flank steak, it was clearly simmered for a long time - and displayed none of the traditionally chewy or dry properties associated with the tougher cut. The sauce also helped - it was very well spiced, and had a slight tomato-like flavor. Mixing this with the yellow rice yielded something that was really satisfying to eat. The combination of sauce, beef, and rice was quite enjoyable, even with mixing the vegetables in for some extra crunch. The portion size of beef was crazy. When combined with the rice, the total amount of food here was solidly enough for two full meals. It is around 20 dollars for the dish, but I would classify that as a good value when you consider how much food you get. On the opposite side, I swapped the maduros out for fries. These...were not good. The fries tasted stale, hard, and not appealing at all. While the portion size was high, the appeal was not. The sauce that came with these was interesting at least. Overall, I think this is a very strong core dish at an impressive portion. Would recommend sticking with the plantains as a side though. 8.5/10
