I came here on a whim and the menu was completely different than what I saw online, so I'm updating my review so that it reflects the new menu. There was a lot fewer "healthy" options than I thought there would be based on the old menus. And then a lot more burgers and hot dogs type of items. They did have bakery items and that's what I ended up ordering. I got the cheese empanadas and they were "mini" empanadas for $5. The cheese was fantastic -- very melted and it had a good flavor. The pastry was fried and so it was oily and I was surprised that the empanadas didn't come with any sauces. But overall, I had a positive experience I just wished that the menus online were updated.

Dropped in for a quick bite and I've never been more disappointed. The pictures online and on their menu did not match the food at all. We got a Hawaiian pizza after seeing the hot dogs and burgers, and the pizza tasted like a frozen pre made crust with packaged ham and canned pineapple thrown quickly on top, and then barely heated until the cheese melted.

This little jewel of a place has the most tasty and legit sandwiches and baked goods. The pizzas are great as well. My favorite sandwich is the Italian Churrasco. Perfectly cooked meat every time. The bun is perfection and the tomato and avocado and sauce all come together in sando perfection. The fries are the small cut (like McDonalds) but better tasting. Great service and yummy unique food make this little spot a regular on the go-to list.

I got a burger and fries and my mom got one of the meals with avocado from the front page but with no bun. It was delicious. Great little spot. Highly recommend stopping in. Love that it's locally owned and it is different. Enjoy!

Delicious and homemade! I can't even think of the last restaurant that served a hamburger patty that was made from ground beef and hand packed at the restaurant. This place has hand formed meat patties that are huge and delicious! Their buns are homemade and soft. I got the mushroom burger and it had a tasty garlic aïoli sauce and nice sautéed mushrooms. I personally thought that the size was a good size for the hamburger, but my husband was wanting it bigger because it was so good. Their fresh french fries are crispy and I was able to get a side of ranch dressing to dip them in and it was perfect. It is a little more pricey than other hamburger joints but it is definitely worth the extra couple bucks for an extremely delicious burger. I will say, it was a little confusing coming in and not knowing if you sit down or if you order at the counter. There was a sign on the floor that said "wait here" but then no one came to greet us or tell us to order at the counter. There was another couple in there sitting at a table and they were confused as well because once my husband and I started ordering at the counter they stood up and got in line behind us to place their order. So just know to go to the counter and place your order and they will bring it to your table. The owner was so sweet and polite and I will definitely be back as soon as I can! My mouth is watering just remembering the burger while writing this review!

Super cute little cafe that I would have driven by but thank goodness for YELP! Darling little cafe! Love the atmosphere! Everything on menu looks so good. We got the Bacon Avocado sandwich and it was VERY good! I just chatted with the owner and they make THEIR OWN BREAD!!! No wonder why it was SO YUMMY!! Wow!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This café must have changed ownership at some point in the last year because the only thing that is the same as the pictures included on Yelp is the sign outside. Very cute inside but if you're hoping to get any of the items on the menu that is on Yelp right now, this is no longer the place to get it. My "Italian" sandwich was a bun with some plain steak, tomato, and lots of Mayo and mashed avocado with a side of fries. Their desserts looked good, but I didn't try any.

Okay, I want to start off by saying the cannolis are DEFINITELY 5/5 stars! They are WAY better than the Cannoli at Mike's in Boston that everyone is crazy about! The cream inside is soooo delicious! Every bite is worth the calories . The food was also very good, although the salads were lacking a little "umph". My mom got the caprese salad and the tomatoes were a little pale and i got the avocado salad and while it was tasty I feel it could have benefited from more toppings like tomatoes, bell peppers, nuts, cheese etc. The bread is homemade and very tasty. The inside is soft and dense at the same time. The chicken noodle soup was also very good. Long story short, we are DEFINITELY coming back for more cannoli!

Antonella's is definitely a hidden gem! I went here with my wife a few months ago and it was so incredible! We tried the California Burger which is the mouth-watering first pic and the Artisan Burger, the second pic! we both immediately noticed that the bread was made in house and that the patty was high quality- you can taste the difference! One of the best burgers we have had, no doubt! We always recommend Antonella's whenever anyone asks for a good burger. Go give them a shot, you won't regret it

My wife and I were super excited to come here duh to great reviews. I ordered the combo meal with tomato soup and avocado sandwich. My wife just got a full avocado sandwich which is advertised as coming with chips. It no joke came with 6 chips out of a Costco value pack. My wife was happy with her meal otherwise. Food was good. My soup was good, just a tiny portion. Now the sandwich is where I was very disappointed. I looked at it, see photo, and was astonished to see there was hardly any bacon. I asked if they forgot to put the correct amount. I was told a full sandwich only gets 1 strip of bacon! And since mine was a half I only got 1/2 a strip of bacon. Now I paid around $10 for the meal and all they can give me is 1/2 of a strip of bacon. That is why the 2 stars. The avocado helping was pretty weak as well. read more

I should have come here sooner. It's hard to always purchase bread here because it's a separate stop, but it's good enough that we do it about half the time. The sandwich was good, although I'm not a huge fan of sandwiches on focaccia bread. The tiramisu was very good. Better than any other I've had in the area. All in all, it's great to be able to support a local place. read more

Why oh why do so many restaurants have to let me down??? I went into Antonella's expecting some of the best Utah County cuisine around, and what I got was a bland hamburger, a decent turkey sandwich, and a subpar cannoli (which is a crime for any restaurant claiming to be italian). Let's start with the hamburger. I love hamburgers. I consider myself to be a true aficianado of gourmet burgers, dive burgers, and everything in between. I have found incredible burgers in the most unlikely of places, ranging from the greek burger at Apollo Burger (a truly phenomenal fast food burger if ever there was one) to the El Diablo burger at The Junction (a pizza burger dive type restaurant which happens to serve the best burger in the whole state). So I had no problem ordering a burger at this italian cafe and expecting it to delight me (as many reviewers have raved about the burgers here). Unfortunately, the burger at Antonella's had absolutely no flavor. The toppings were fine, but the meat itself was tasteless and bland and it ruined the whole affair for me. I couldn't even eat it. The sandwich I got (bacon, turkey, avocado) was much better, but it wasn't anything I would go out of my way for. I've had similar sandwiches at places like Kneaders. And if you want the best Turkey Bacon Avocado panini in the state, you've got to get the one at Gourmandise. And finally, the cannoli. I freaking love cannoli (I lived in Italy for a while) and their pistachio cannoli looked delicious. The shell was fine, but the filling was weird and gummy, not at all the creamy ricotta filling I was expecting. Overall, it wasn't a terrible meal, but it wasn't anything special either. read more

One of the best eats in Orem. A little hard to get to, it's a little café on the west side of State street, you'll drive past it if you're not watching. So pay attention, you'll don't wamiss out. I discovered this place a couple months ago when looking for a local lunch. I bit into the chicken pesto sandwich and fell in love. I've been back 3 times in as many months and shared it with several friends. Would 10/10 recommend and will be going back for more very soon! read more

I've driven up and down State for 2.5 years, continuously passing up Antonella's because I did not want to stop on the side of the road. I finally decided to bring a friend while she was visiting, and boy am I glad i did!! I definitely recommend their BAGUETTES!!! The chocolate cake pop I had was a tad bit too sweet, but still delicious nonetheless. Their plating is everything! Love the ambience, definitely gonna keep going back. And the prices are great!! read more

The online menu doesn't provide a description of any of their dishes but we ordered the pastrami burger and the chicken pesto sandwich and they were both delicious. The patty on the pastrami burger was thick and juicy and the pastrami had a really good quality and flavor. It seemed like it had a garlic aoili sauce that was tasty. The chicken pesto sandwich had a great pesto sauce on it and the panini bread was soft and had some yummy seasoning on it. We'll definitely eat here again! read more

It's so small you might miss it, but like they always say, good things come in small packages. Now that the cliches are out of the way, let's get down to the nitty gritty: This place is awesome. High quality, fresh baked breads that trump places around town (there aren't really any places like it). Plus, they serve sandwiches and a sirloin burger on their breads. I was really excited to try this place after reading all of the reviews! However, I am disappointed. Disclaimer: this review is based off of the business itself and not the food. I left before even getting the opportunity to try it! First of all, if you are interested in the pizza. They only serve it after 4... which is what I came for, but I was willing to try something else on the menu. So, I went for the chili in a bread bowl... well they also don't have that today... So Antonella's why are there things are your menu that you can't order? After the frustration, I just kindly said I'd go somewhere else. The lady working was not helpful AT ALL. If she were to have recommended a couple of things, I would have stuck around to try them! But, she obviously didn't care to have my business. I will be coming back with my husband to try the pizza at a later date, and will update my review then. read more

I want everyone to go here!!! In my opinion, it's the best place for sandwiches and burgers in Utah Valley. The bread is amazing and the bun is part of why I think their burgers are the best. They use the really good mixed greens which I think is super important. The food has always been very well prepared and comes out all pretty. Their fruit tarts (and sandwiches) are way better than Kneaders. Forget Kneaders. Also, I got a mocha frap as well and it was also very delicious. read more

I love this place! Fabulous small-business. We come here every time we're in Orem visiting our family. The service is always friendly and fast & the food is always delicious. We love their sandwich cookies and buy a bunch so we can take them back to Vegas with us. I've not had a bad thing on the menu! I have driven past this place for years and never noticed it. The most quaint family run cafe that will give you all the feels. Turkey Bacon Avocado was amazing and I don't have words for the Tomato Basil soup. The service was everything you would expect at a "ma & pa" shop. Took my little guy and they gave him a cookie while we waited for our food. Prices are a couple dollars higher than the typical UT County cafe, but totally worth it! So happy this place finally caught my eye - I'll be back for sure! read more

I attended a Yelp event here and got to sample a few sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts, and it was all pretty tasty. The pepperoni pizza stood out as especially flavorful. Antonella's atmosphere was a bit rustic, almost Twin Peaks (Sorry, didn't get to try the a coffee or the pie). And, finally, the staff were able to accommodate our rather large party with poise and equanimity. The only shortfall here was the lack of options for gluten free diners. Solid recommend. read more

The turkey bacon avocado sandwich was very good! High quality ingredients and home made taste. Love the fresh bread! The other sandwiches I've tried were tasty as well. The small beautiful unique cafe dinning area has the feel of long standing big city favorite local eat. Sadly there is an issue in the consistency and service. Long waits and forgotten items have dotted my short history here. They've got great food, they need to nail down the consistency and service. read more

This was honestly probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread was perfect, and I really appreciate that they put the ranch on the side for the garden salad. The homemade potato chips blew my mind! I didn't get any of the desserts but they looked delicious! Ive never even noticed this place, but I'm so glad I came! Break away from the chains that are causing you pain! This place is wonderful for sandwiches paninis and other fresh foods. We always walk away with fresh loaf of bread and a classic song stuck in our heads (their playlist is fantastic) Go somewhere different for a change, you won't regret it. read more

Such a quaint little restaurant! Stopped by for lunch this afternoon and we enjoyed the place all to ourselves. We were given the menu pretty quickly and the food came out shortly after. Ordered the Caprese sandwich and the Italian sandwich, both made with fluffy ciabatta bread and served with a side of average potato chips. It was fresh and satisfying. After enjoying the ciabatta bread on our sandwiches we decided to buy a loaf of sourdough to bring home with us, have yet to try it! If looking for a fresh sandwich this is the place to go. read more

Absolutely LOVED this place. I live in Salt Lake but was down in Orem for a race. I always look for locally owned cafes and was not disappointed by Antonella's. The Avocado Bacon sandwich is amazing; fresh, soft bread and a tasty aioli! Espresso was roasty and perfectly pulled. Highly recommend!! read more

The barista was very friendly and wanted to make conversation which was nice. However, the matcha was lacking in flavor depth. I had added sweetener to mine and I could only taste milk and sweetness, no matcha. There appeared to be a plethora of food options ranging from sweet to savory. I saw tacos! My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. For food, the calmari frita it was called but it was squid, some kind of white fish, shrimp along with fried, thinly sliced red onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. GET THIS, one of the best things of the night! When you do get it, make sure you get bites of the chopped veggie mixture that's buried under all the fried goodness, thank me later. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.

Whenever I am traveling west, I always make sure to stop at Antonella's for a breakfast, lunch or dinner meal. Their fruit tarts are worth the travel, and the ciabatta bread sandwiches have me sold. The prices are amazing, as is the small-town dining atmosphere. Truly a level above the modern fare found in most restaurants today. I wholeheartedly give this cafe 5 stars. read more
