I have always felt like food options near children's attractions are overpriced and have lower quality ingredients. However, Tower Deli is changing my mind a bit. After meandering through the museum, I had worked up an appetite the size of the dinosaurs I'd just seen. It was a bajillion degrees outside, so the last thing I wanted was hot food-and the chicken salad was calling to me. I'm glad I listened to the call. The salad was delicious-with pretty darn good ingredients. The portion size was very generous for the price and they were happy to point me to water cups rather than force me to buy an overpriced single-use bottle of water like other places do. (Can you tell how much I hate that?) My dining partner opted for a grilled cheese off the kids' menu and it looked less than appealing. Granted, I don't like cheese, but based on what he told me about it, there was nothing magical about the concoction of white bread and American Cheese smashed together. I've been here twice in the last few months. Once on a Thursday evening and once on a Saturday. Both times the service has been good. It was obviously much more busy on the Saturday, but there were times the lines weren't too long. If it's not too busy, there are some nice quiet places to sit and eat. The food is pretty good! I've tried both the turkey melt sandwich and the pesto chicken is also very good. The turkey melt has plenty of flavorful meat, good melty cheese. I loved the bean sprouts and I don't usually like tomatoes, but on this sandwich it's a nice touch. The pesto chicken is nice a fresh. The chicken wasn't dry. The bun is a nice highlight along with the pesto obviously. The fries were really good the first time I had them, but the second time, they fell kind of flat. They weren't as crisp and fresh as they could've been. They have a decent soda selection and the extra sauces are easily available. I'm excited to maybe try some other things on the menu, but if you're in the area and looking to try something new, this is a pretty safe option. read more

We stopped here after the Museum of Ancient Life! This place was SLAMMED at lunchtime (which we expected judging by the amount of people out and about). We got through the line pretty quickly to order our food. Then we had about a 15 minute wait for our food. The service was okay. Not super great but not horrible either (I expect these kind of things with the employment as it currently is- so nothing really unexpected). The food was very reasonably priced! And the servings were PERFECT! Not too much so that you toss any out but you left without feeling overly full! There were vegetarian options that could easily be made vegan which I appreciate about restaurants! I tried the fruit and nut salad and was IMPRESSED by the quality of the lettuce and fruit served. My family had burgers and CHOWED DOWN on them which was a great sign! The onion rings weren't anything to write home about but were satisfying at the same time. With plenty of parking and small round tables you can push together inside and out, you'll be in to order your food and eating up in no time. The food here is made in the same kitchens where the food for Harvest restaurant is prepared, though it is considered more casual and perhaps lower quality than Harvest. The food here was, well, okay. We all finished our meals and felt full and satisfied, but it wasn't something I'm dying to write home about. I got the bbq burger and wouldn't recommend it. Instead the sweet pork salad, BLT or fresh made house soups would all be better options. The fries were a little mushy, so I would choose the soup, chips or Mac and cheese for a side to your meal. Free refills on soft drinks and plenty of drink options for kids including Capri sun, milk, chocolate milk and water. Overall a good spot to stop with family, especially if you don't want to take your whole crew far away from the thanksgiving point action. The prices here are also every good, and there's a 10% discount for thanksgiving point members! Next time I think I will travel a few blocks away and even pay a few dollars more for a better tasting meal. read more

If you are looking for a sweet treat during you thanksgiving point adventures make sure to stop here for some icecream. You get so much bang for your buck and it's quality not just quantity. My favorite flavor is the cookie dough. Though the last time I did get it there seemed to be a lot less dough bites. But with inflation right now that seems to be the trend just about everywhere. I can't believe how crowded this place was. I have to think that something, e.g., event or convention was going on. I asked for Carryout/To Go from the beginning. After waiting quite a while for my order, my buzzer vibrated and I was greeted with a tray for eating in. I informed the attendant that I asked for Carryout and that I was sorry and she commented, "That's ok. This happens all the time." I knew that she was telling the truth. The ingredients are good. The Philly Cheeseteak isn't terribly authentic, but it's a good sandwich. The soups are good. The burgers are probably considered good by many, but I'm not a fan. I think a burger at this price point needs to have a beef flavor as part of it. The patty is very thin and cooked well done. It's all about the additions, which are very good. Over the years, the Thanksgiving Point has evolved and grown, but one constant has been the deli. They've renovated and the menu has even developed a bit, thought one item remains the same- and that's the Baja salad. The best item on the menu! You can get it with chicken or shrimp. I prefer chicken. The dressing is a little spicy to those who don't have a heat tolerance, but as for me it was spot on. Note that there is a split between the deli and the ice cream parlor and they prefer you to order at the separate registers. The ice cream is fun: they have soft serve and hard ice creams. I LOVE this deli!! The meat and breads are soo fresh! I was totally surprised! We tried the Reuben and the turkey bacon avocado and I dare say it was just as good if not better than kneaders!! This review is for the ice cream parlor that is right next to the Deli. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB, and to top it off, you get an amazing bang for your buck. The rumor is that some of the founders of Novell started Thanksgiving Point for entertainment for families. Whatever the reason is, it's worth it stop by and just walk around. The parlor itself is built just like the Ice Cream Parlors of looonggg ago. It's a neat little atmosphere. To start off, we had the warm cookie sunday. When it got to us, it was a warm, gooey, Fudgy, mess of deliciousness. We started devouring the ice cream, and believe me, it took two adults a long time to get through the amount of ice cream we were provided. The cajun chicken sandwich is off the menu. This is bad news and takes a star away. I've been a couple times since the removal and still haven't found anything that is as good as that sandwich was. The Hawaiin Chicken is not a close second, but maybe a close third or fourth. I'm not sure what that means, but it's definitely not a close second. The crowds have also died down a bit as there are now many more places open in the area. I'm still surprised by the amount of mothers and kids I see here during lunch time though. The Skinny: I can only recommend Tower Deli for those who are hanging out at Thanksgiving Point and are absolutely starving with three kids in tow and if you don't get something to eat NOW someone's gonna die. Otherwise, take an extra five minutes, go across the interstate, and get something good to eat at one of the many restaurants in the outlet mall. FULL REVIEW: Tower Deli is okay, and if it came to that, it'd be 3 stars. The problem is the prices, which are ludicrous considering the quality and portion size of the orders. My half Italian sub sandwich looked like a 1/4 sub sandwich, and there was nothing substantial about the taste, quality, or ingredients. At $4.50, it was a total ripoff. I came close to actually complaining to management about the portion size to price ratio, and that is not something I do. A Subway $5 footlong literally would have been four times the food for basically the same price. Hunny's burger was more appropriate portion-wise, but that's about all that can be said. Flavor and ingredients did not stand out. The bun was something I could have picked up at the grocery store - soft, slightly sweet, not toasted or crisp at all - and the patty was unsatisfying and flavorless, which describes both this outing + some of the worst dates all of us have been on. What really got my goat was the additional $2.75 to make it a "meal," which for us was a bag of Lay's potato chips and a fountain drink. In fairness to TD, I misread the board and thought it said "house chips" as a potential side when it, in fact, said "house fries." Nonetheless, we don't yet live in the world where a lunchbox-size bag of chips and a fountain drink should cost more than a dollar individually, so why we paid almost three is beyond me except that we were both pretty hungry and not thinking straight. I had already opened the chips by the time I realized the blunder and couldn't sub in an order for fries. There should be a more reasonable price tag on the "meal" option for those who get regular old chips. Closer to $2 would be fair. $2.75 is overpriced. It took close to 15 minutes to get us the food, which considering the portions + they weren't busy = never again. It does not take 15 minutes to cook a burger patty and slap together a tiny sandwich. The food is low quality and should presumably come quick, but the price tag doesn't match. You're paying for the convenience of not packing your family into the car and running across I-15 to eat near the outlet mall. I wish we'd have saved the $15 we spent on a poor excuse of a sandwich, a meh burger, a bag of chips, and a cup of half water half Sprite and gotten something tastier and more satisfying at Smash Burger right down the street. We will not be back. read more

We have eaten here a few times when at Thanksgiving Point for various events and it has always been pretty good. In particular the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich and the italian sub are standouts to me and my wife really enjoys the Baja salad. And the Ice cream wow the ice cream there is a great selection and it's absolutely delicious. The only real downside here is that the service is pretty slow and the seating area is just not adequate to the crowds that come here. read more

Yummy place to eat if your enjoying awesome Thanksgiving Point. What I really love here is there Tuna Melt! So good! I got the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich yesterday and it was good but I like Tuna Melt better. I also like the Baja Salad. Yesterday was first time having the fries and they were yummy! I really just love the whole atmosphere here. Never too crazy busy and always clean and nice. I'd like to try some other things some time like burger. My husband got Chili and said it was yummy! Probably the best spot to stop, if you just can't get the family back into the car and drive down the road. They offer nice sandwiches, and options for the kids, and do their best to get the food out in a hurry. We have enjoyed their fries in a moment of "melt down" with the little ones, and like the open seating and chance for the kids to rove around the area without getting into too much trouble. The food was decent. Prices were reasonable. Nothing fantastic but not completely inedible either. My husbands chicken salad sandwich was good but slightly bland. My kids chicken tenders were clearly just the store bought freezer aisle variety. My panini was decent but lacked any depth. I think everyone's favorite item was the french fries. Those were good- a little crisp on the outside and soft inside. It's in a great location especially if you're staying at the Marriott next door.
