This place is one of Orem's hidden sandwich gems. I say hidden because I don't hear a lot of people talk about it and it's a shame. The sandwiches here are fantastic and stand out from their competitors with thinly sliced meat that is pilled on, and the unique option to get it "hot" - In my opinion that is the only way to get one of their sandwiches! Hot is not the same thing as toasted. A hot sandwich maintains a soft bread but with a warm interior that makes the sandwich so much more flavorful. Because they don't go light on the ingredients- an 8 inch sub is more filling than a foot long at other sandwich shops. read more

I wish I could adequately express my love for Sensuous Sandwich. There's not a lot I miss about living in Provo, but Sensuous is one of the things. When I had to come to Provo for a wedding reception, I decided to make the trek early to have my first Sensuous Sandwich in I don't know how many years. This is a new location from when I last visited. It's very cool. I like the comics under the table. The style in general is modern and fun. I like the vibe, anyway. The two boys working were very friendly and quick about making my sandwich. I always used to get (and once again got) the Stimulator. They walk you through all the options: cheese, veggies, condiments, oil/vinegar, salt/pepper. I mean, you may as well get crazy, because it's a messy delicious sandwich. This is my 2nd time going to this place. Looks like some things have changed. I ordered a chicken breast with swiss 4 inch. I asked for it to be a warm sandwich, which to me, meant toasted. This was NOT the case. When I got the sandwich it was warm but had been put in the microwave. The bread was NOT good. If you have ever put bread or a roll in the microwave to heat it up, it becomes rubbery and loses its taste. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. This is a fairly simple yet fantastic sandwich shop. It's a nice and clean establishment with friendly employees. Sandwiches were so yummy! I ordered the spicy Italian. My husband got the turkey my daughter got the ham. They have 4inch subs to 20 inch subs. My daughter loved they have magnetic words to play with and a chalk wall to draw on. This location has consistently poor service. Each time I go in, as part of my order, I try to buy just a piece of bread for my 5 year old daughter who has food sensitivities. Each time they basically refuse to sell me a piece of bread at any price saying they will only sell me a sandwich. Last time the cashier allowed me to buy a piece of bread and another member of the staff made a scene about it. They were also highly combative when I asked them to pass my feedback along to management. I won't be giving this business any more of my money. read more

The service is always great and I think you get the best bang for your buck here, they are not shy or conservative of loading you up without asking, their menu is great and every-time I've been in I have gotten my food in less then 5 minutes no matter if it's one sandwich or four they're efficient! They put more meat on their sandwiches than subway would put on two sandwiches. The bread is so moist, and just makes the sandwiches taste so much better. I am a huge Ranch fan, and their ranch dressing is awesome. You have to ask for Ranch they don't offer it. They also have a 24" challenge. You have to eat a 24" sandwich in under 30 minutes. Sensuous is one of my favorite sandwich shops, largely because you can get whatever kind of sandwich you want, with whatever you want on it, in whatever size you're hungry enough to consume. (Or buy bigger and save some for later -- that's theoretical, because I always eat the whole thing!) The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The cartoons on the table tops are fun and bring back good memories. (Where else do you see the Far Side these days?) I always stop in for a lunch before donating blood at the Red Cross donor center, a tradition I started when they were right next door. After Sensuous moved, it was easy to continue the tradition since they're only a bit farther south. Of course I come in other times, too, because they're really good sandwiches, but they give me an added incentive to make my regular Red Cross appointments. read more

As always this place is fantastic. We ordered take out. My wife started her online order when we left our house and finished it as we pulled up. I walked in to use the bathroom and told them we were patiently waiting in the car. They said they usually require 20 min for online orders in case they are busy, but since they were slow they would start right on it. 7 minutes later she brought our sandwiches out with the extra condiments. The orders were accurate and sandwiches looked very fresh. We love this place and will return time and time again. read more

I used to work at Sensuous when I was in high school and I would have imagined that it would've turned me off to their food but it only heightened my need for their sexually charged subs. Now, whenever I or a loved one (my husband) is within a five mile radius of Sensuous I have to have a sandwich picked up. Their location has changed and some things have been upgraded but it's still the same old Sensuous Sandwich. The new location is a much nicer facility, but it retains the style of the original. They follow the same model everyone else does, but it is a uniquely Sensuous sandwich. The bread is tasty, and the meat is the same type of mega-mart meat you probably buy. Somehow, by adding the extras, and perhaps heating it, it becomes better than the ones made at home. I'm not a fan of budget sandwich shops, except in this one case. I really like their sandwiches -- especially if it has pastrami on it. read more

I always feel bad not giving 5 stars to places because I know every place is trying their best. And to be fair, I didn't go to the actual restaurant (family bought me the sandwich) so I can't review the restaurant specifically. But food-wise it was just alright. I got the "Sensuous Sandwich" (turkey/ham/roast beef) and the meat wasn't great. Just tasted like typical grocery store packaged meat to me. The bread was good though! So there's that, and I like that they actually give you a good sized portion of meat instead of being really stingy with it. (*cough cough* Subway..) So 3 stars for effort and for not being stingy. But since I probably won't go back, I feel like I can't give it more stars than that. read more

I have been a life long customer. I have been coming to sensuous since I was a kid, and I have NEVER been treated so poorly. I literally signed up for Yelp, just so I could share this. That's right, this is my first review and it is not good. This place used to be great. The food is still the same, but whoever was working tonight (9/30/21) was horrible. My GF and I stepped through the door a few minutes before closing; the girl at the register immediately started glaring at us. I am a nice and jovial person so I just tried to ignore it and be pleasant...but as we were ordering she continued to glare, and then roll the eyes, etc... As I picked up our sandwiches at the other end, the employee stated that we had to leave within the next 7 minutes... I called him out on this; you can imagine how that went. I have never felt so uninvited to a place that I was literally trying to give money... Of course then as we sat down both the employees began slamming doors, and being incredibly loud in the back, slamming the mop bucket around etc. It was like two kids throwing a tantrum. Funny thing is...we wouldn't have stayed long, and honestly we did not...I am sure that we had left before the arbitrary 7 minutes...and of course they slammed the door behind us. I understand that these are just employees, but they are giving this place a really bad name...I have half a mind to look up the owners and call them to let them know this restaurant, and their reputation is being dragged through the mud. Hopefully they will see this, and make some positive changes... Until then I will be avoiding this establishment indefinitely. read more

This place is the most amazing hole in the wall! It's been a family tradition to go here whenever we are in utah. We were afraid that moving locations would take the charm away from this place, but they were able to stay the same awesome place with an upgraded interior. The sandwiches are always packed full of meat unlike other awful places that love to skimp on ingredients. The bread is always soft and a perfect vessel for the interior of the sandwich. My favorite is the sensuous or the French dip. The pastrami is a close third. The customer service is just as good as the food, we are always greeted with a smile no matter how busy they are. One of the few places that gets a five star in my reviews. read more
