I have been seeing Antonio for over a decade and I won't let anyone else cut my hair. I'm consistently happy with the results, and this is from a gal with some significant curl trauma from my youth. I have long to mid-length (when dry) curls and he is great about helping me keep the length, but also get the lift I need so I'm not wearing a triangle on my hair, or sporting what I call "the poodle mullet". Based on Antonio's assessment and discussion about the look I want, he recommend not cutting and shifted to style training, care tips, and changes to beard style to complement the existing length & my facial structure. What a great experience! This was my first time with Antonio after spending almost a year researching and learning about curly hair cut stylists and salons. I read reviews and stories from other clients and decided to take the plunge with Antonio. Everything I read was spot on from beginning to end. Understanding my challenge with my curls, likes and dislikes and long term goals. His interest in educating clients on product use and expected results is amazing, down to setting your phone up to capture his tecniques so you can revert back to it when on your own. He is warm and patient, give 100% attention and truly invests himself in his client's experience. I most appreciate that he shares information on his preferred products but there is no pressure to purchase from him, only informations and accessibility should you chose to make a purchase. I truly had a great experience and look forward to to see our long term plan come to fruition. I had an appointment at 6;00 PM on Thursday but that was moved since Antonio's flight was canceled. Came on Friday at my new scheduled appointment at 1:30 but the doors were locked and nobody was inside. I called but nobody picked up the phone. So, I was left without a haircut before going on a month long trip including a big family function. I am furious since I wanted to look my best there. Been going to Antonio for years, and I always get compliments on my curls. Some even ask if my hair is real! Brought my teen daughter to him for a color correction after her brown hair turned orange from the sun. He was patient and creative and determined to get her the color she wanted. He stayed way late into the evening working out the awful color and never made her doubt he could fix it, even though she was very nervous to the point of panic that nothing could be done. Just another 5* review for Magic Antonio! I live far far away where it is not possible to get a Curly Cut and decided to splash out on one (hopefully) on my trip to NY. I entered the salon and saw a bunch of young stylists working on clients and wondered if it would be the right place for me .... then I spotted an impeccably dressed fellow working on some amazing curls and knew I would be in great hands. Not only did was he able to divine my personality and predilections from what he saw in front of him -- kind of a Hair Psychic -- but he also gave me a fantastic cut and great tips for caring for my hair after the salon experience! I go for color and there's a lot of communication before the process so you're both on the same page about what the results should be so there aren't any surprises once the color goes on.
