Pepperoni pizza and side of ranch!
    Brooks B.

Got a large pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely amazing!!! Huge slices, great sauce, great amount of cheese, nice crust. Was planning on saving half for later but we ended up finishing the whole thing..... $35 after tip for a one topping, expensive but the same as everything in town and big. Our new go to pizza place

Excellent 18 inch pizza. Loved the crust, generous toppings (pepperoni and black olives). Pricing good relative to others in area.

So happy we decided to stop in Mambo! I loved walking in and seeing the kitchen immediately, this…read moreis usually a sign that food is going to be goooooooood. We were seated right away with no reservation (on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 pm); I imagine reservations probably come in handy. We started with a bottle of wine - the wine list had a wide range of bottles priced lower to your more expensive bottle; we chose one in the middle range (super Tuscan) and it was very tasty. Reviews on food: Calamari: I really enjoyed the calamari! It was lightly battered but had just enough crunch. The flavor was great. They even had lemon wedges and pepperoncini fried in with the calamari which I loved. Cesar salad: I forgot to snag a picture of the salad, and it also happened to be my least favorite item we ordered. The dressing was overly sweet for my liking and did not have your standard Cesar flavoring. I wish I would have asked more about the dressing to understand it a little better. I probably would not order this salad again. Eggplant parmigiano: this was sooooo good! The eggplant was breaded and cooked perfectly. I could have just eaten the eggplant it was so tasty. Highly recommend!! Tagliatelle bolognese: I am a huge sucker for bolognese, so I usually judge this sauce pretty tough. This. Was. De. Licious!!! The meat sauce was full of flavors and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I was impressed! Butterscotch budino: perfect way to end our meal. I'm a huge fan of butterscotch flavored desserts and this did not disappoint. It was light and not too heavy after a meal of pasta. The thick layer caramel on top was delicious. The portions were big in my opinion, so while prices were a little high, I thought we got our moneys worth of food. Our server (and others that came to the table) were all super kind and helpful. It does get very loud in the restaurant, so had the weather been nice enough to eat outside, I probably would have chose the patio seating. Overall this was a great meal! 5 starts for the scrumptious food, portion size, and service.

I tried the peach "Long Drink' seltzer for just five dollars and it was so good! My friend also tried some of the house cocktails and were raving about them I decided to go for the poke place, ordering two musubis to hold me over until dinner. They delivered them right to where we were sitting, and picked up the trays when we were done. The musubi's were so yummy, the perfect amount of food for a midday snack. Absolutely love this place, I'm going to be here again this weekend !

Plenty of options for all tastes - burgers, Asian, Jamaican, pizza, sandwiches, etc. There's also a full service bar. Spacious place with plenty of seating. Three stories, with restaurants on the lower two. I kinda feel bad for those restaurants on the lower level. They're easy to miss if you just walk in on the main level from streetside. Everything we ordered was good, and the pizza was a big hit. Everything was ordered by app. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant.

The flavors were excellent, and the crust was incredibly crispy. My brother even said it was better than New York pizza. Drizzling the honey on the crust was a fun touch--it honestly tastes like eating honey and fresh bread. That said, the crust is very filling, which made it harder to eat more pizza. We had a decent amount leftover. The kids weren't interested in the crust at all and left most of it behind. Service, unfortunately, didn't match the quality of the food. Even with such a large group, there was very little check-in from our server. When I asked a question, the response came off a bit rude, and no one really stopped by to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. I still tipped 18% given the size of our group, but the service could have been much better. Overall, the pizza itself was great and definitely the highlight, but improved service would make the experience much better.

The pizza dough is much different that we've seen before very thick on the outer edge. We just ordered a small pizza to try. The pizza looked good when it came out, after taking a slice there really was t much to it mostly dough. I think if we had of got a med or large it would have been better not as much dough and more cheese and sauce. Over all it was ok there's lots of other places to try in the area before returning.

Every dish was good and more than ample. The GF and I had the remaining Lasagna for lunch the next day. Brick will be my number 2 choice for Italian in Steamboat, close behind Mambo. Great to have two very good choices in the future. PS, Brick definitely has the upper hand in seating between the two having much more individual space.

And get a side of the homemade pesto for your crust, you won't regret it. The location is great, right in downtown Steamboat and the inside of the restaurant is quaint but lovely. Bonus points for the tasteful artwork in the men's bathroom. Will be back next time we are in steamy.
