The location and atmosphere are what initially drew us in. The restaurant has a beautiful interior, a spacious dog-friendly patio, plenty of nearby parking, and it's conveniently located right at the base of the gondola. They also have a large wood-fired oven, which had us excited for the meal. Sadly, the food was a major disappointment. For the prices they're charging, I expected much better quality and flavor. The pizza was bland, made with what tasted like low-quality ingredients, and nearly everyone's pizza at our table looked burnt on one side. The pasta was even more underwhelming, it lacked any real creaminess or depth of flavor, with the sauce tasting mostly like black pepper and little else. It honestly felt like very little effort had gone into the dish. The wrong pasta was used for this dish and it was also overcooked. By the end of the meal, I didn't even want pizza or pasta for a while, which says a lot. Our server was kind and friendly, but there were long stretches where they disappeared, making service feel inconsistent. Overall, despite the great location and inviting atmosphere, the food simply didn't live up to expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it. read more

How does this restaurant only have 3.7 stars???? 5 stars every time. The service was amazing - my friend and I sat at the bar and had the best bar tender and one of the other cooks kept giving us the best food suggestions. Our salad was BOMB - please get the Gio and add pistachios. Too busy devouring to take a photo but here is the margarita pizza with pepperonis - again, SO GOOD. And get a side of the homemade pesto for your crust, you won't regret it. The location is great, right in downtown Steamboat and the inside of the restaurant is quaint but lovely. Bonus points for the tasteful artwork in the men's bathroom. Will be back next time we are in steamy. read more

First time visit and meeting friends for dinner on a Thursday. When we arrived at the 1700 opening time, we were quickly seated and observed the place gradually filling up to completely full by 1800. Our dinner had four different selections, Lasagna for my Girlfriend, a Pizza for one of the others, pasta for both I and the other friend. Service was a little slow but super efficient. Every dish was good and more than ample. The GF and I had the remaining Lasagna for lunch the next day. Brick will be my number 2 choice for Italian in Steamboat, close behind Mambo. Great to have two very good choices in the future. PS, Brick definitely has the upper hand in seating between the two having much more individual space. read more

Was able to make a quick reservation during NYE and for the chaos of the day- the service was spectacular! The server was such a joy and communicative with us. Although she let us know there may be delays with the chaos we did not feel it. We got a couple of beers and wine which were good started with mussels (usually don't like them but they were delicious) I am the type of person that doesn't like sea food that's not in a coastal town and I really enjoyed. We then got couple of pastas and pizza to share and all were great- the pizza tastes homemade (rich and thick). The ambiance was great as well, felt very hipster and fun inside. I would never order from The Brick again. I ordered a pizza to-go and found out I did not get the pizza I ordered when I got home. The sauce flavor was good but they had a "hap hazard" way of cutting the pizza. No symmetry, pieces cut at weird angles and not through the middle. We found Brick outside of our condo while staying in Steamboat and loved the experience. The burrata special was absolutely amazing, cooked in a cast iron skillet with the house red sauce. I then went with the recommended chicken Parmesan, which was fried to perfection and the house red sauce, once again, to die for. What a great place next to our Airbnb! I was a little concerned with other reviews we read but man were they wrong! Cleo was our server and she was so kind, knowledgeable and attentive! The place got pretty busy fairly quickly as everyone was coming in off the mountain but we never had to wait very long for anything. The food was so good we decided we will probably come back for a second meal before leaving steamboat! Definitely a place to check out! read more

Wow! Hands down...This is the place to go in Steamboat for brick oven pizza! My husband and I got the Diablo without peppers because our waitress indicated the peppers are what makes that pizza so spicy (there was a notation on the menu about the spice). We opted for the olive and almond appetizer which we thought was going to be a container with some olives and other with almonds like you find on a charcuterie board. However, we were pleasantly surprised that is was a warm olive and almond salad"ish" dish. I will be back here next time we view it Steamboat. Really nice italian restaurant right next to the Wildhorse Gondola. The service was very attentive & good with recommendations. The burrata appetizer was delicious, the bolognese pasta was so yummy as were all the pizzas we tried. My favorite was the Diavola, if you like spicy give this one a try. Great spot for families too. Severely disappointed in this restaurant. The men's bathroom, a single stall, contains pornographic pictures making it unable to miss unless you just don't use the bathroom. Upscale pizza place with more on the menu than just pizza pies. Seating indoors and out. We got takeout - order over the phone and it was ready in 10 minutes! Verde salad looked beautiful and tasted great. Could have used more dressing. Quattro Formaggio was rich with cheese and also very tasty. The Crudo was fantastic - prosciutto and arugula, how can it not be? This was our first time getting food from Brick. Our table of three (2 adults and a teenager) sat at our table for 50 minutes with no service! We had reservations for 7:30 tonight (Sunday in March). The hostess seated us and then no one even spoke to us for 30 minutes. The people next to us sat down 15 minutes after us and got drinks and appetizers. The server saw us and just ignored us. At 8:00 I finally told the hostess and asked if we had a server. I am never one to complain but I've never been completely ignored for that long at a restaurant where we had reservations. She apologized and said it was a "crazy night." Then the hostess herself finally came over and took our drink order. We ordered a lemonade, prosecco, and a beer. Nothing earth shattering. Twenty minutes later still nothing. We were furious and finally just got up and left. Wasted an hour there and they could not have cared less. Never again! Some people near us were mad too because they had been waiting on a to go box for 20 minutes. It's now too late to go anywhere else. This place cannot handle a crowd and the service is terrible!!!!!! read more

When I got home I thought the bill was a mistake, I went back today to inquire and they said they add 20% automatically for take out, I have no quibbles with that but did the guy say that, or was it on the charge slip before I added my own 20%? Cute little spot and great pick up as well. They don't deliver but steamboat is a small town and it's not a big deal to drive up here. The restaurant itself is super cute and I love how it's decorated. We got a margarita, crudo, and bianco pizza. While the crust wasn't my favorite and seems pretty tasteless the other ingredients made up for it. We really loved the bianco and are looking forward to eating here in person soon. read more

I always give people chances because you just never know and bad reviews are not my thing but when I call to order and you put me on hold for 15 minutes then hang up on me is just crazy. They did call back however so no big deal and I ordered. Next day (now actually) , I called again and I'm literally on hold now. It's been 20 min. And I've heard so many conversations and gossiping that it's crazy. I mean no one notices the phone again??? Terrible terrible service. Food not that great either. The bread was served with olive oil and baked garlic.we then moved onto short rib pasta with a lot of meat. Wide pasta noodles and fresh veggies. We had two delish salads one with mixed greens, procuttio, pistachio nuts and a delightful dressing. The other mixed green and tomatoes and mozzarella. We have 5 different pizzas.
