Belchertown getting its own Antonio's seemed like a bad idea at first, but they pulled it off. This has quickly become my go-to place for both food and drinks in town. Previously excellent, I've noticed a downhill trajectory the past few months. Last night, slices ordered in the restaurant were significantly delayed to two of us (different times) in a party of four and served lukewarm. The restaurant wasn't overly busy. One of our slice orders was forgotten. Eventually brought to the diner after the rest of us had finished. I've noticed smaller slice size the past several months. Certain dishes, as well, are of variable quality depending on the day you're eating there. I hope they get their act together because they used to be my favorite pizza restaurant. read more

First of all, I have to say that pizza in Italy is infinitely better than the best pizza in NY. I tried FIVE different flavours and I was sober. The base was dry and flavourless. The bean and avocado come out cold. very average pizza. Of the five different slices I ordered, the best was the artichoke but it wasn't anything special. read more

Food is very good. Casual atmosphere and decent bar. Supporting staff is friendly and efficient. Truly the best pizza in town. Only thing I've noticed is the female manager (not sure if theres more than one who oversees) is a bit snobby. This is a nice addition to the pizza cuisine here in Belchertown. Food is very good. Service is also great. Prices are a bit above average but you get what you pay for and the pizza is gourmet fashioned. Only issue is the seating can get a little tight but otherwise, great food and great location. 5 stars all around. The micro-brew selection is varied. Please, consider a short pour of a 10 or 12 oz with your pint offerings. The pizza, either ready to eat by the slice or made to order was delicious, as we sat and ordered one. The waitress was perfect, attentive, funny and seemed genuine. Clean overall. The bathrooms were awesomely clean and actually scented with vanilla. Overall, no matter if you wish to have a sit down meal, a quick bite with friends or while on the go and driving by, you will not be disappointed. Do not let the parking lot dissuade or distract you..The outdoor seating was lovely once we were seated. Many restaurants could learn a thing or three from this place. read more

I was raised in Amherst, so I am so lucky that I grew up w/ Antonio's. It was always a special treat to get a slice and it still is. The service is fast and friendly! The pizzas are also inexpensive and definitely worth your buck. On Thursday or Friday nights, they offer $1 cheese slices so you can bet those are heaven when you are out at 11pm and it's winter. Whenever I visit, I always get the spicy chicken quesadilla! It is my all-time favorite and it is seriously like a flavor and texture explosion. I love the way the chicken is seasoned, the pico de gallo has a nice kick to it, and the tortilla chips add a good crunch. Overall, love Antonio's to pieces! It is a mainstay of Amherst. read more

Usually decent however went in a Sunday around 1 30 was pretty slow I ordered 8 wings and a side salad, my wife got a slice of pizza, the waiter who looked very young brought her slice right away, fast forward 30 minutes still no wings or salad , the wife's pizza already finished , no waiter ,,,! Finally found him and asked about my order , he said the wings were just put in the fryer , I canceled the order did not want to wait any longer , still charged for the pizza , not much of an apology, service was very sub par , cleanliness of table , very poor . will not return. Antonio's is brilliant! am so happy that Belchertown has finally got a decent Pizza place ya! Plus it has Gluten Free for those who need that, way to go!!! and for breakfast go to the Road House just down the road. This place is great for families and groups, it also has a bar! read more

I frequented Antonio's in downtown Amherst during my college days, and I appreciate having this larger, more family friendly location right in Belchertown now. Whether we are running in to grab a slice of their many varieties or sitting down for dinner, it's a reliably good pizza. read more

Gluten free!!!!! I've had my share of crappy Udi's crusts (nasty!!!!) at places that hype their gluten free pizza options, this is not one of them. They make their own friggin' crust! Tasted awesome (no bitter aftertaste), texture was actually bready (holy mother of pepperoni, Batman! It was like actual PIZZA), I couldn't finish the whole thing because it was too much food (those Udi's-based GF pizzas are tiny and leave me hungry) and best of all......I DID NOT GET SICK!!!!!! I will absolutely be back, with my family. Yeah, that's right, party of 5-8 has put Antonio's Pizza on the SHORT LIST! read more

Food is good, prices are ridiculous, drinks are a fortune. You can sit down, order a salad, a drink or two, but don't expect to order a slice. - you have to wait in a separate line for that. Food is good but as a local we rarely go due to the prices. read more

Wonderful restaurant with too many types of pizza to list here. My favorites are the potato bacon and salad pizza. Brussels sprout appetizer is great, especially with sweet chile sauce. The dessert pizza with Nutella and fresh berries is delicious. Nice bar and comfortable environment. Friendly and competent wait staff. We frequented Antonio's in Amherst and we're thrilled when they came to B'town with a sit-down option. I highly recommend this pizza place. read more

Antonio"s has always been known for their excellent pizza, this location is no different than the others (Amherst, Providence, etc.). The biggest downside to this establishment is the set up. The take out is located in the middle of the restaurant, and that tends to take away from the ambiance and the restaurant feel. So when you enter for a fun night out, the line of people waiting may not be waiting for a seat. However, you will not be dissatisfied with the food quality. read more

Very disappointed in our experience tonight. We have been a patron for years at the Antonio's in Northampton, Amherst and now Belchertown, but after tonight's experience we may not be back. Our hostess and server were prompt and attentive. Their pizza is just okay, but better than anything we can find near us, so we make the trek occasionally to Belchertown to dine -in rather than take-out. At the end of the evening our check seemed a little higher than we expected, so we checked it against the menu and noticed a price differential of about $1.00 per pizza. When we mentioned this at the register, we were told that their prices had changed, and they don't have the new menus yet. We told our waitress that that was not right, because they can't advertise one price and charge another. She said she'd see if she could deduct the difference off our check. Then she checked with the manager? who told us that she'd do it this once, but the menu says "prices subject to change" on the back, and that their costs had gone up, so they have to charge more. We explained that we understand that costs rise, but that it was the principle of the thing- you can't charge a price over what you are advertising. Again, she pointed to the back of the menu, and was really quite rude to us. What was really appalling was that we had just witnessed her giving in to a woman who was clearly scamming her, talking fast and claiming to be from "out of town", asking Antonio's to cash a check (she was not a customer.) The manager finally relented, and gave her a $10.00 bill. When I mentioned that I didn't believe the woman was telling the truth, the manager agreed, but felt she was doing a good deed and sent the {scammer} on her way. I disagreed, noting that she's just going to move on to the next business, and try to scam them too. I felt this manager handled both situation poorly. She could have held fast to a policy of not cashing checks and should have notified the police so that they may be on alert and notify other store owners about a potential scammer, and she should have apologized for the confusion with the menus and gladly refunded us our money. Moreover, the owner should wait to raise prices until the new menus come in, cover old prices with tape and handwrite them in (tacky, but honest) or place a photocopy of price changes in each menu. At the very least, servers should be instructed to notify patrons of the price changes BEFORE the order is placed. All easy and inexpensive fixes. The kind of response we saw tonight is a red flag for us that this restaurant may be in real financial trouble or at the very least needs to take a look at its front of house operations. Also - one other note, wait staff should never arrive at a table with hot food in both hands, and expect the patrons to rearrange the table to make room for the pizzas. We saw this happen at every table upon food delivery, including our own. read more

For pizza, this place is probably the best in the area. I've had pizza slices at their Amherst location, and, for a person who isn't usually a fan of pizza (probably because I haven't had any decent ones), this place is the best. Their Belchertown location is a sit-down with an outdoor patio! They have slices, much like their other locations, however, they have so much more: salads, appetizers, BEER and awesome beer like Lefty's! It was crowded when my friend and I showed, but only waited a mere 10 minutes before we were seated. Our food came out fast. I had their kale & brussel sprouts salad, which wasn't too bad. I'm comparing the kale salad, of course, to Northampton Brewery's (when they first re-opened, hoping it's still pretty awesome). We ordered a large veggie pizza and asked to remove artichokes, as my friend wasn't a fan, and added chicken. It wasn't too bad. The pizza itself could've stood to be in the oven a bit longer for a crunchier crust, but it was still pretty good. Still waiting on someone to come out with actual grilled/roasted veggies on a pizza... perhaps I will add that suggestion. They had desserts, as well, apparently, though not listed on their menu, but we were too stuffed to have any. My friend also ordered chicken wings as an appetizer, but was disappointed in the heat, as he asked for them to be hot. Perhaps he ordered a different kind. Overall, seating arrangement is pretty cool (we were seated in one of the awesomely constructed booths), the service was GREAT and the food was decent. I will come back and definitely recommend this place. It's a nice break from the sub par pizza joints in the Palmer location. So glad this place isn't too far of a drive!! read more
