I have never dealt with anyone outside the delivery drivers (who are fine) so I can't comment on the service (though recent reviews here and other sites would not point a great picture). The food quality though is just....not good. Well, it may be good but it's hard to tell when everything arrives ice cold and tastes like it has been sitting around for hours. Delivery service is terrible! Ordered pizza and appetizer last night and delivery app suddenly showed food was delivered. Called Peppas and get a total run around saying it's normal for app to say delivered when it's not. What??? She said driver just left. Great, so food should be hot then. Tried them again a couple of years later from other poor review. First attempt was pretty good but second was very disappointing. Ordered an extra-large stuffed pizza that had about enough toppings/filling for a medium size pizza! At first bite it was very good but then we realized that the toppings/filling ran out about 4" - 5" from the edges! The vast majority of the pizza was just dough! Sorry but you have to do better than this. Guess we won't order a stuffed pizza from them again. At least with a regular pizza you can easily see what you are getting. read more

Food is inconsistent. Sometimes over cooked and sometimes undercooked. The staff is the worst part though, a bunch of teenagers who are disgruntled and rude. I find them to be the worst. Honestly, if I didn't live really close by, I'd find another shop. Considering just going to Domino's on Sumner, as the staff there is super polite. Well. Every time we go in and get ready made pizza by the slice, it's great. However both last time and this time, we have placed orders. Last time they left half of the ingredients off of a sandwich and forgot half of what was ordered. It was a special for St Pattys Day and we didn't alter anything so it shouldn't have been a problem. They forgot fries. The entire thing wasn't even close to what they said it would be. This time we ordered a half and half pizza: half crispy golden bbq chicken and half white. Honestly it's one of the worst we've ever had. The white has barely anything on it and it's absolutely tasteless. It was literally eating crust. The other half looks nothing like the pizzas in the case we purchase by the slice. There's barely any cheese or toppings. Totally not worth the $35 I paid for pizza and a 6 garlic knots. And they forgot the bbq sauce on the actual pizza which is called crispy golden bbq pizza ... hence the bbq. Garlic knots were good as usual. Unfortunately I think we are done with Peppa's ordering and will stick to pizza by the slice already made in the case so nothing can be made wrong. read more

Dude, this place is legit! If you want a nice, thin, delicious slice that totally melts in your mouth, then come here! I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed with my pizza. You get to select a single slice of pizza that varies from sweet and sour chicken to a plain cheese that is rather appetizing. This is my two year olds favorite place to go when it's his night to select a place. It's about $14 for three specialty slices and two bottles of vitamin water. Pretty good deal for a family dinner! They also have all you can eat and a fountain drink for (about) $7.50 on two weekdays of the week. If you're hungry for something good and want a sweet deal, go here. They also do delivery and make whole pizzas to go. If your feeling frisky, get a beer next door at the beer shop and a slice of pizza from here and enjoy it on their patio. My New Years resolution is to not over-rate businesses on Yelp. It's hard not to over-rate Peppa's as long as you rate them solely on their pizza. Every time I've been there it's been with a group of at least 5 people. Conveniently we all shared pieces of what we ordered in the spirit of "OMG you have to try this". Arguably the favorite of both visits was the "BBQ Chicken" pie. Regardless of your taste they have a large/wide variety of pizzas ready to go at any time. Old world Sicilian, eggplant/ricotta, meat lovers, etc. They even have a french fry pizza. If you consider it a down side, it's a pizza joint. You order and pay at the counter and someone brings your order out. I don't have anything against pizza joints, just don't expect ambiance. Frankly ambiance means nothing when you're enjoying pizza like this. If you're in the area it is worth the stop. read more

For two large pies, three salads, three grinders and a wrap for a pick up order, the quote time was 30-40 minutes on. subdue night, not too bad. The first issue is it took 56 minutes, so had to wait over 20 minutes after showing up. The big issue is that the two pizzas they gave us were sitting on the counter since before we arrived, as we were waiting on the grinders and salads. The pizzas were cold, not even like warm and they had no consideration t even put them in a warmer while we waited, as they didn't even tell us it was my pizza sitting there or I would have asked them to keep it warm. I admit it, I am a fiend for Peppa's buffalo chicken pie. It's a monument of neon orange buffalo chicken and creamy blue cheese flavor atop soft, pillowy dough. Not to detract from their other pies or anything, but the buffalo is my usual purchase. And they do offer a large selection of other pies. In fact, they seem to be trying for an Antonio's Pizza by the Slice kind of thing with their "specialty" offerings. And while they don't offer anywhere near the flavor selection as that venerable Amherst institution, nor do they quite match the quality, they're certainly appreciated for trying. They're also appreciated for being one of the few local pizzerias who not only has their own style but manages to make pizza that's actually halfway decent. In contradiction of one of the other reviewers, Peppa's biggest draw for me is their dough. Pizza dough is SUPPOSED to be soft and floury, not hard and corn-starchy. Unlike most pizzerias in Springfield, Peppa's gets pizza dough right! Granted, you might not want to load on the toppings, especially moisture-soaked veggies, for fear of floppiness. But you should be going for that bright orange buffalo chicken and gooey white blue cheese anyway, not...green...things. Incidentally, I first experienced Peppa's several years ago via an "all you can eat" night where I scarfed down several of their cheese and buffalo chicken slices. It seemed popular with college kids and youngsters at the time. If it's still something they entertain I recommend dropping by for a taste as it's a great introduction to their pie. read more

Live so close I can walk there so we order from here a lot. I love the BBQ chicken salad filled with lots of chicken, onions and peppers smothered in BBQ sauce. They give you a garlic knot to go with it, yum! I recommend the Greek dressing on it. I love all their grinders too, usually order the eggplant parm or chicken bomb, both taste fresh and delicious! BBQ chicken pizza is yummy too. Favorite pizza they have is the chicken and broccoli, it's a white pizza with garlic, olive oil, ricotta, broccoli, chicken and mozzarella. Love it! The only complaint I have is sometimes you order things and they aren't as good as they usually are. Not sure if it's a different employee making it different or sometimes if you order late, Peppas express makes and delivers it to you instead. Still good just sometimes not as good. I am torn. I love this place but my most recent visit has me disappointing. since moving here, been on the search for best pizza. Peppa's is really good. my fave is Rosemary's Potato bliss, its not listed on their print menu but it is online. Their french fry pizza is also great. For the plain janes, pepperoni is yum. so, since i have been talking this up to friends, we decided to go for lunch. There was 7 of us and we ordered 2 large pizzas. as I am eating , i notice hair on it and thinking it was one of the girls we were with. NBD tll i started to pull it off. nope, it was baked into the crust! i went up to the counter to tell them about this and all the girl could do/say was give me a grossed out look and offer to throw it away. it was pretty busy that day, so i waited til the crowd died down since i didn't want to gross out the other patrons. so, you are not even going to inform the cook? I was about to make a scene but figured if this was how they handled these kinds of situations, then I am better off going elsewhere for pizza. I guess i should have done it when it was busy! Let the others see how they aren't really concerned about sanity here. so, look out for hairs. it was pretty long too. I doubt I will come back anytime soon. Came highly recommended and I now know why. I had eaten their pizza years ago and it was really good. But I don't always feel like driving there when ordering take out so have been getting from others who deliver. I was recently told that they now deliver to Longmeadow. No idea when that started but I called, and indeed they do. I ordered and was told 1 hour. That was fine. But they actually came in 35 minutes. That was even better. And the pizza is really good! I got white pizza with chicken and broccoli. It was so loaded I couldn't see the crust. I've never seen such a loaded pizza before. My son got the pepperoni with garlic knot crust and loved it! He also got boneless wings which were generous with blue cheese and celery. We were both so pleased, we will now order from them regularly. Great to discover excellent pizza that delivers too. My wife and I moved to the area four years ago and we had known about Peppas, so it became one of our favorite pizza places right away. If I was writing a review of this place then, i would have given it five stars. Unfortunately we have notices a steady decline of servile things. The first one: the quality and inconsistency of the food, ie: -it is either burnt from possible being reheated so who knows how long it has been sitting around. -if I do not go and pick it up myself, it arrives at my home more than an hour after it was ordered and it is cold. The staff, i have noticed, has teenagers that run the place and they are rude with no understanding of the old saying "The customer is always right". I ordered two different slices of pizza at the counter one day, and the girl at the counter put the slices on top of one another without anything between them. Then when I go the box that was over stuffed, i asked politely if it would be too much trouble for her to separate them into different boxes, and i was met with attitude and the comment of, you only ordered two slices. So, again, I politely reminded her that these were two different types of pizza and if she would allow me to have a second box to place to separate them. Recently i made an order for a pizza and wings for delivery, and I was promised delivery in 45mins. I only live down the road and it took them over an hour to delivery it. Excited with hunger, i opened my order and the pizza was not what i ordered, and the wings were cold. So i called to explain my frustration, and again i was polite about it. They girl on the phone gave me attitude and said the manger was not available at that time. So i asked for a call back. When he did call I politely explained my concerns with: 1) Eating cold poultry that had been sitting in someones car for x amount of time And 2) That the pizza we received was not correct and it was burnt in the bottom. 3) Repeated dissatisfaction of services over i would say about a year or more. The manager asked me what he could do for me and i asked for a full refund. He said i could have a partial refund, then argued with me how long it took from when we ordered until I received the order. Then he said, "okay goodbye" and hung up on me. About thirty minutes later he called back saying i hung up on him. He then offered a refund store credit. Needless to say, the old saying "The customer is always right" was not his concern and tried to place blame in my court. I apologize for such a long winded review. I only hope the "Owner" sees this and makes some serious changes at the East Longmeadow location very soon. Based on my experience and reading other reviews, i am not the only one who feels this way. read more

Oh. My. God. So, came on a Tuesday to do the All you can eat special. This did NOT bode well for my diet. Brought a friend. We got through 4 slices. That was it. (We also got a side of Garlic knots, because... Garlic knots.) The slices had an amazing variety. As a vegetarian there were several pies I could have, and sadly a few I couldn't due to bacon. (But they looked amazing, too.) My dinner partner had no such inhibitions and opted for the Mac and Cheese pie with bacon and... Um... Can't recall the other. But I really wished I could have tried the mac and cheese. I got a Sicilian slice and a slice of tomato and fresh mozzarella pie. (It was supposed to be Margarita, but they had no fresh Basil.) The Sicilian slice was crisp on the edges, and soft and fluffy inside. the dough had a good taste. The other slice was thin. The garlic knots were fresh, bready and pull apart. Dripping with infused oil and garlic. The fountain sodas are not the run of the mill. They had RC cola and flavors. Root beer, orange, etc. There was a case of other beverages. I'm excited to try this place in summer and get a beer from the Beer Store next door and have a pizza and beer on the porch. read more
