Colette and Rosemary are absolute pros! I'm still riding the high from the hair cut and color they gave me yesterday! Rosemary has given me the best haircuts of my life (for real), all from an originally vague request to take off a few inches and add some layers. I've been back a few times now, and never want to get my hair cut anywhere else again! Colette is an absolute wizard with color - she spent an entire day working with me on my difficult request (not to mention the time she spent preparing for our appointment!), and the end result was even better than I imagined!! After 9 hours in the chair you would think they'd be sick of me, but it was a great time until the end. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of work they do. Their attention to detail and commitment to making customers feel happy is unparalleled. The salon itself a very comfortable space, and it's so easy to feel at home, especially when you meet Cisses the dog. These ladies are the mother-daughter hair team you never knew you needed! Let me just start off by saying WOW I am impressed. In my 26 years of life I've only had three people touch my hair and I was a bit nervous but as soon as I walked into this salon I knew I was in good hands. I had my hair cut by Rosemarie, she instantly made me feel comfortable and she really knew what she was doing. Everything I wanted she knew before I even had to say a word. After she cut my hair I had my hair washed by another woman I forgot her name but she was also very kind and it was a relaxing wash. After my wash Rosemarie styled me it was quite fun she blew my hair dry and showed me different styles that I could do at home. She finished off with putting a braid in my hair and the best part was the price only being 88$. I also had the pleasure of meeting Rosemarie's daughter call Collette who I will definitely be going to see for my color in the VERY NEAR future. After almost 25 years with a wonderful hair stylist, I had to make a sudden change due to scheduling issues, and find someone new. Without any time to really research, my sister and I decided we would start the search by trying Anton's, a local and well established salon. Boy, did we get lucky! Colette and Rosemarie are not only experienced and gifted colorists and stylists, but very friendly and welcoming. They spent time with us during a consultation a couple of weeks prior to our actual appointments, discussing coloring options and cuts, and also taking time to get to know us. Both of them, along with their lovely staff, made us feel welcome and comfortable right away. Their salon is clean, sunny, and has a chic feeling - right here in my neighborhood! I am very particular about who styles, cuts and colors my hair because it is one of my best assets. And as women we know we have to focus and keep what we got going on. I have been to different places before, having been a model in my younger years up until my later years now being a business professional woman where looking my best is very important to me. I like to call this Glass Hair because not sure how much comes across in the photos but man - it has the most beautiful gloss to it. The color was a perfect mix of brown with blonde low lights being done just amazingly on pointe! I mean just look at this contrast - it noticeable but not gaudy just simply stunning and rich. Anton's is a GEM. First of all, Collette is a master of color. I have naturally black hair going gray and she has found the best shade so that it's not too dark and doesn't age me. (I used to pay 2x the amount in Manhattan and it never came out so good!) Since I started coming to Anton's I keep have people comment on how great the color looks. Second of all, Rosemarie, has given me really flattering cuts--styles I can wear straight or curly. Layers just the right length. Third of all, coming here is like being with friends. These women are like the Steel Magnolias of Brooklyn. every time I come, just being here cheers me up. Yesterday's appointment was my first time at Antons for a color correction. I admired my friends hair color so much that I had to try it for myself! Colette was my stylist. In all my years of frequenting salons, I have never had anyone care about how my color turned out like she did! She is a perfectionist and I truly appreciate the fact that she knows that we clients are a walking "billboards" for these small business owners. Colette and I are grade school buddies and we reconnected on facebook about 5 years ago. Since then I've been dying for her to do my hair but couldn't because of loyalty issues with my current hairdresser. Anyway, today was finally the day and I wasn't disappointed at all!! No one could've done my hair better than Colette!! I went in with many different colors of red which is very hard to change. I also wanted something very specific and it's always hard to achieve a specific red color. No one I've ever gone to has paid attention to the little details Colette did. Her way of coloring is extremely safe and keeps your hair as healthy as possible. She also communicated every step of her process and took time before my appointment to plan out what she was thinking of doing. I met Colette years ago because I live in NJ I only started going to her a year ago and it's worth the drive! My hair has never been more complimented since I've been going to her, she does my roots and highlights to perfection, she listens to her clients and knows exactly what they want. I was a mess and she did a total color correction. She's so good that even when your roots need to be touched up it's not noticeable to the naked eye. She is a true artist in hair color. I always have the best experience here at this quality state of the art salon! Colette used "the processor" a new accelerator to hasten and accelerate the color process on my hair. I discovered Anton's via Facebook, and made an appointment on a whim because my hair desperately needed a trim/shaping. I'm very glad I went--everyone was so warm and friendly (the other clients too!), and Colette not only gave me a fantastic haircut but also checked ingredients on pretty much every shampoo they had in their extensive stock before washing my hair in order to find one that wouldn't make it sad. Absolutely wonderful! Came in after five months of no-hair-care (bald spots too), and Colette asked me about what I wanted and then did a beautiful job giving me the perfect color.
