Called to have someone come and see why our power bill was 4 times the normal rate. They said that they were sending a electrician. They tech that they sent was not able to find the problem and wanted us to spend $1200 to find the problem. The tech also spent 90% of the time on the phone consulting with a "professional" because he did not know how to find or tell us why our power bill was 4 times our normal rate. I don't think I would hire them again. They are not professional and send people who don't know how to fix problems. They are wonderful at talking on the phone. Office staff is nice and friendly. If you call their office they will return your calls or have a manager call you. So in short, customer service on the phone they are professionals at. Yesterday we had a new water heater installed. The technician was very friendly and professional. At first things seemed to be going great, but this morning we were greeted to the smell of gas coming from the heater room. We called Any Hour and they said they would dispatch someone in a few hours to take a look. This seemed wrong to me since they were leaving my small children to breathe the gas and running the risk of blowing up the house. I called up Questar and they sent someone out immediately who found that the gas had not been connected properly. Luckily they were able to fix the connection and solve the problem. When we told Any Hour what happened they seemed vaguely apologetic but not overly concerned about the dangerous situation they had caused. While I appreciate the important work they are continuing to do even in the face of a pandemic, I cannot in good conscience endorse a service that put my family's lives and our home at risk. read more

Our experience with Any Hour Heating and Air Conditioning was less than a 1 star. Our furnace quit working, so I opted to have a technician come out on a Sunday. I knew there would be an after hour charge.. fine with me. We were freezing and have small children. The technician came out and within 5 minutes had diagnosed our furnace as having an "internal blockage SOMEWHERE inside." He couldn't even give me a location of where said "blockage" may be. He also said we had a cracked heat exchanger and that our furnace was putting out deadly amounts of Carbon Monoxide once he did get it to fire up. Within 5 minutes after that he had my husband on the phone with his supervisor quoting us on what an entire new system would cost. We decided to have a second opinion given to us before we dropped $7,000 on an entirely new heating system. Which, by the way, $7,000 is quite the financial hit for the average family. The owner/technician from the second company came out and after he actually took his time talking to us, and looking through everything in the furnace we came to the conclusion that while my husband was putting a new roof on our home a few days before he didn't line the exhaust pipe up the way it should be in the attic. So he went up there, aligned exhaust and the tech had the furnace going a few minutes after that. He also tested the Carbon Monoxide. Totally in the safe range. Because the furnace was venting! Even the owner of the second company was absolutely disgusted with the dishonesty of the technician of Any Hour. I've called this company twice to speak to a supervisor about this issue and have yet to receive a call back! I will definitely never be doing business with these guys again. The tech and his supervisor saw a vulnerable situation with us being concerned about "dangerous amounts of CO" and our small children and must have figured it was a way to make a quick sale and a quick commission. read more

After receiving what I'd thought was pretty good service previously on an annual HVAC tune-up, I called for some help on a small electrical outlet(s) problem. They couldn't come for a couple of weeks, but when the very nice serviceman showed up, he scared me crazy saying I needed all my breakers updated & changed out immediately. Said there was a fire hazzard and didn't want to leave w/o fixing for my own safety. I'm out-of-work because of COVID, have age & a couple of underlying medical issues... anyway, he scared the B'Jesus out of me. When he wrote up his bid, he said he'd discounted it for me. $1,500+ he said was a really good price & should be done right then. Well, he was gone & out-the-door in 3 hours. That's $500 per hour (but did include 20 Eaton breakers $11 each @ Home Depot)! When I called around the next day, other local electricians said they normally charge between $100-125 per hr. I called the office manager a day later, who said he would check into it and get right back to me--which was more than a week ago. I DON'T RECOMMEND BEING SET-UP & TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY ANYHOUR ever again. read more

Stay away from Any Hour unless you want to grossly overpay for your service. I had a hot water heater leaking, which was under warranty. They charged me $2,000 to remove the leaking unit and install a new unit, but it would not work. The plumber came back out and wanted to charge another $300 to try and get it running, at which time I sent him home and found another plumber (Comfort Champions) who diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and fixed it for the cost of a service call $58. In addition, the other hot water heater wasn't working and the Any Hour plumber didn't diagnose that one either - I did it myself, a simple sensor. I've since talked to other plumbers and they said this should have been about a $500 job. I've called them twice hoping to speak to a manager, but no call back. read more

Gave me an 2 hour window to come and hook up the A/C unit that they did not hook up from their last visit. Couldn't make that 2 hour window and now an hour late they cannot give me a time as to when they will be there. Very poor customer service. Didn't care at all that they are completely late. When we initially received service I came on here and submitted a 5 star review. Installation seemed to be fantastic; however, since then the customer service after the sale has been miserable. We cannot get a copy of our invoice which is need to claim a rebate. This rebate was a huge selling point for getting us to upgrade to the high efficiency furnace. We have contacted them four times each time with a new delivery date. In fact the last call no expected delivery date for our invoice! I had Any Hour come out to my house to fix and upgrade a number of plumbing items around the house. The plumber was professional and highly skilled. The service from scheduling to completion was 5-star. The issue I had was that they charge a fixed rate for every job. When they gave me the quote for the entire list of jobs, it was astronomical. Sadly, I had to reduce my list by 3/4, which the plumber finished in 5 hours. Aside from a little solder and paste, it was 100% labor, which came out to a rate of $600/hr. I would love to use them for the rest of the work I need and to eventually replace my AC/Furnace, but I will never use them again because of their pricing. I will find a reputable plumber who charges by the hour. read more

Parker was running a little late since the dispatch folks had to juggle scheduling this morning (some employees called in sick). However, the service was quick and professional for my annual furnace tune up. Very honest too - my flame sensor is on the edge of being out of tolerance. Didn't pull my leg by telling me it needed to be replaced, just advised that it would probably be out of tolerance for next year but I could have it replaced now if I wanted to be safe. Great service, great product, COMPLETE rip-off. We recently had a new sink installed in which we provided everything except for some supply line extensions and a strainer. The technician did a great job. The service and results were great. But the bill was over $1,200, all of which was mostly for about 4 hours of labor. While we do credit Any Hour for contacting us and re-reviewing our bill to make sure we weren't overcharged (which they said everything looked fine), we still think that something as straightforward as a new sink install should not cost over a $1,200 dollars, regardless of how great the service was. Our furnace isn't working so we called and had Any Hour come out and diagnose it. They came out on time and had a diagnosis in about 45 minutes the tech was polite and seemed to know what he was talking about. Before we had them come out we had speculation that the control board was needing to be replaced and that is exactly what they tech confirmed for us. The part and the reason why I am rating them a 1 star is due to the quote....they quoted us $1,296.00 to replace the Control board and to replace the Igniter as a precaution. Not what we were wanting to hear but what can you do. We paid the $59 diagnosis and had him put everything back together. With such a huge repair we figured getting second quote would be the best thing to do. We had another HVAC company come out and take a look today and with the exactly same diagnosis minus the Igniter the tech said that the control board needs to be replaced, he went to his truck to write up the quote and call on the part and came back to me with 2 different options.....for parts and labor to replace the control board with the factory OEM would be $687 or he said that he could get a aftermarket control board, parts and labor $365....WOW!! I could see doing a little mark up to cover costs but a $600-$900 MARK UP......You've got to be kidding me. When I told the Tech what we were quoted with Any Hour he about crapped his pants while laughing. I would never recommend Any Hour to anyone because of their price. read more

After they repaired a back up, I was told by Any Hour that our sewer line was in very bad shape and would need to be replaced from just outside the house to the connection to the city sewer in the middle of the street for a total of just under $16,000! I called two other plumbers to get additional bids on the replacement, both of whom told me they suspected I wouldn't need the line replaced - that this was likely a scam and that the cost always seemed to be around $16,000. I just had one of them camera my line and said it was actually in good shape. They cleared the line completely out for $150 and suggested I do so on an annual basis as a preventative measure. They also told me that if in fact I ever needed to replace the line, the cost would be more like $6,500 to $7,000, not $16,000! I will never use Any Hour again. I suggest you don't either! read more

They rate 5* for Customer Service- tech guys were all very kind. (Which is the only reason they are getting the 3*s) But you better hope there are no issues. We were told they would either give us a discount on a new system or we refill our current system. We decided to have a new system installed. We were told the price of the pressure test would be applied to our new system. Well since they discounted us for the headaches they caused, when they left the caps off our machine and the Freon leaked out. (They started out attempting to blame it this on theft. Considering we have a 6 ft Vinyl fence, dogs & security camera's all over our yard, which picked up no activity, other than the dogs. We were expected to believe someone jumped the fence, risked the dogs & politely put the cover back on loosely. I don't know about you- but I don't know any thieves that are going to bother putting the lid back on at all, even loosely). The person I spoke with in the office, began yelling at me, when I tried explaining this, which I hung up on her, felt bad and later apologized. Did I get an apology for her yelling at me. Of course not. Now they are saying because they discounted the unit, and gave us, so called "free items" for all the headaches that have been caused. They are not free if you pay for them with the credit you should have been issued. They refuse to credit us the $500 for the pressure test. I hope others have a better experience than we had, once their was an issue. And it wasn't even an issue we caused. The company caused the issue. I had some basic electrical done around my house - rewire a couple of outlets and fix an outdoor light. I was expecting a couple hundred dollars but they charged over $600 for the job. The quality of work was fine but you can tell they get paid by the hour because they took their sweet time and charged a lot of money for the job. I'll probably go elsewhere in the future to save a bit of money. They also try to up sell you on a lot of junk you don't need. read more

I had a coupon for a diagnostic check to determine why my air conditioner condenser fan wasn't turning on. I figured with the coupon, they could come out and identify my issue, give me a quote and I could use the known issue to compare prices around in order to get the best price. The quote to replace one of my parts was $319. This seemed steep to me, so I called around to a few shops, called the manufacturer and did some online research and found that the average cost of this part was ~$26. I understand paying for expertise and wouldn't have felt slighted, but after I had exclaimed disbelief that such a small electrical part could cost so much the technician straight up told me "The manufacturers only make about a 10% profit on these parts." So after the diagnostic visit and Any Hour's quote, and some more calling around, I realized I could replace the two parts that were faulty on my own. They were electrical only and didn't require any certifications. The contactor and the condensor fan motor took me just under an hour to replace, and I was meticulous in my process taking pictures and using colored tape to identify which cables went where. Total cost of factory replacement parts $121 dollars and 1 hour of my time to fix my Air Conditioner. The cost quoted to me, $807. I know I'm not an expert, but simple electrical connections with quick joins is easy. Take this review for what its worth. They may have been able to do what I did better, but I doubt it. They may have used different parts that were better, but these were the manufacturer recommended parts so they should work well. All said, I would not recommend this company to anyone simply because I felt they were trying to take advantage and upsell me. read more

I called them for a gas hookup for my dryer. Josh S. was friendly enough. He quoted me 3 times the rate I paid last time to another professional. $740. I was told the parts were $200 and it would be a 2 hour job. So $270 an hour labor? Pretty steep. Plus the wall are unfinished in the basement so it shouldn't have been a big deal to just hookup the yellow gas line from the furnace gas line( just like the job at our old place. ) Needless to say I spent the money on a new electric dryer AND a new washer. March 2016 we got a quote from Any Hour Services of $3800 to replace our water heater with some additional options. My uncle who is a contractor saw the quote and told me it was ridiculously high. He got two other companies to give me quotes for the same thing. Both said I didn't need to do all that Any Hour recommended, and quoted me $1200 to do the same thing. I don't know if Any Hour took advantage of me because I'm a woman, but the lesson I learned from this is to always get 3 quotes for any job. read more

Any Hour quoted me $10,822.00 to excavate my sewer main/clean out & replace the collar between it and the pipe leading to the street. They offered 4 different payment plans, but my thought was take out a second mortgage! Three other estimates I received ranged from $1,800 to $2,200. I am very glad I decided to use Allstar Service & Repair. They matched one of the other estimates, and were able to excavate, repair, and backfill the area by hand without tearing up the grass & leaving indentations from heavy equipment. One shrub had to be removed because it was directly over the sewer main. At my request they went the extra mile to also remove three adjacent shrubs so there wouldn't be a gap in the plantings. I am very satisfied I went with Allstar Service. I suggest you think twice before taking out a 2nd mortgage on your home thanks to Any Hour Services! read more

The only great thing was how quickly they were able to come out and the price for the service call was cheap. As soon as the technician arrived (3 hours after the appointment time) the bill started. All we needed was new fittings under the sink. Tech claimed he had to first test the water pressure and if it was off it would be $300. Then he claimed the fittings would be $600-$700 to fix. After we stated that was too high he told us to F*$% Off. Definitely would not recommend using Any Hour for any services. Horrible customer service and insane prices. We had a second plumber come and quoted $150 for the new fittings. Never using these guys again. read more

After we had them come out and they told us we needed $8,500 of drain pipe replaced under our home, they said we had a one year warranty. Well, not really you don't. One of the issues was our toilet was not flushing correctly. They said the new drain pipes would fix that problem. After we laid new tile down in that bathroom and put in a new toilet, the toilet still flushed the same way, not flushing all the way. We called, just know after they get your money they don't really like to call you back real fast. But they sent someone out, they said the toilet was fine, that someone else needed to come and put a camera down the pipes. That guy came and said he needed to pull the toilet up to put the camera down the new pipes they just put in. We asked if they were going to replace the new tile floor we just put in, they said no. I don't see how because they did not fix the problem, now I have to pay again to re tile my floor that they screw up. He said it was most likely a toilet problem. I said it is a new, good brand, toilet. He said you need to use a "certain" brand of toilet, their viper or one other brand is all he said. I told him if it is the toilet, then you guys were wrong and I just needed a new "certain" brand of toilet, not new pipes. Anyways, long story short, they won't agree to fix the tiles I just laid unless it was a pipe problem, but again, if it is the toilet, then I only needed a new toilet. We got scammed! They will take your money, and leave you with the same problem and say too bad. read more

So I had a mainline back up on me I had crap and feces all over my basement not something fun to wake up to on a Sunday morning. I called my regular plumbers and could not get a hold of them so I decided to call Any hour and after a long wait on the phone I finally got a hold of someone they told me they were not open I am thinking to myself wow this is crazy this is called any hour plumbing services whatever and they were not open. Anyhour was not Open at the hour I needed them somehow I think this is faults advertising. I guess that after having to wait a long time for them to answer the phone it was a Sunday and then just have them tell me they're not actually open kind of pissed me off. I said I have an emergency I got lots of sewer water in my basement and they said sorry we don't have any technicians working today we're not open on Sundays. If there's anyway I could tell them to improve it to be have a recording on the phone telling people that are open on Sundays if someone happens to call him on a Sunday that way they don't have to wait on the phone so long and then call another plumber. These guys definitely want to gouge you. TERRIBLY overpriced. They bid a 10 gpm tankless water heater for $5500!. They bid labor only on my own provided unit for $2000!.
