I had a…read more9:45 a.m. appointment, checked in at the kiosk, uploaded my ID and insurance, and received confirmation stating I was successfully checked in for my appointment ("Thank you. We now have you checked in for your appointment"). I had no reason to believe there was any issue. After waiting 45 minutes, I noticed walk-in patients who arrived after me were being called first. When I asked an employee to check on my appointment, she initially said she couldn't find it. After I showed my confirmation email, she found it but claimed it had been "deleted" because the kiosk registered my check-in five minutes after my appointment time. Despite waiting nearly an hour and having proof of my appointment, she refused to honor my original check-in time. Instead, she re-entered me as a new walk-in and said I would have to wait behind about 10 patients who had all arrived after me. Even another patient confirmed I had been there the longest. When I questioned her "solution", I was told that if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else. The most concerning part was that every piece of documentation I received actually indicated that I had successfully checked in, so I had no way of knowing my appointment had supposedly been deleted. Even after acknowledging I had been waiting the longest, the employee refused to correct the situation. I wasn't upset about what appeared to be a system/tech error, although that is also a serious problem. While this may not have been the employee's fault, she refused to do the right thing and offer an appropriate solution. Instead she thought it would be okay to keep me waiting even longer, completely disregarding the fact that I had an appointment, while also disregarding "first come, first serve." This was poor customer service and a complete failure to treat patients fairly. Please do better and learn to be kind to your patients.

Just because they were talking in Spanish does not mean people in the waiting room did not understand what they were saying. It wasn't until phlebotomist RACHEL arrived that she put the two front desk girls in check and got things moving along. 5 stars to RACHEL for saving the day, you are a true professional!

Great environment however when a person tells a lab tech, they need an experienced phlebotomist…read morethere is a reason for it. My veins roll and they are very small. Because of some tech's inflated ego, I experienced multiple sticks and then she kept moving the needle around inside my vein on my right arm (my right is my dominant hand). Extreme pain, bruising, and soreness even days afterwards. Finally, a more experienced tech took over (after all the torture) and went to the other arm. Afterwards, no bruising on my left arm, couldn't even tell where the needle hole was. My right arm looks like I have track marks. Not happy what-so-ever. Next time I will push back, this is ridiculous! Does this company hire brand new tech's so they can practice on patients??? Not good at all! Day of the blood withdrawal pic 1. My previous doctors' office, Well Med at Stone Oak, always did fast, always painless blood draws. Here, however, the phlebotomist came at me with a huge needle and it was so painful, I could barely stand it. I just gritted my teeth and waited for the end! I was left with a deep purple bruise that took 5 days to heal. I would avoid this place or just hope you get someone else.

I was happy to see that at 1:20PM... there was a 1:30PM and 1:40PM appointment for the same day. The clinic was in the on the same floor as my doctor's office which was very convenient. I arrived to the appointment at about 1:25PM since it was across the hall and was able to quickly check in via the kiosk as the mobile check-in process wouldn't allow a check-in more than 10 min early. The kiosk asked for my cell phone number, scanned my drivers license and my insurance card then I was good to go. Almost immediately after checking in, I was called back. The woman who called me back and was collecting the sample was very kind and careful and was easy to chat with. I really liked the staff at this clinic as well as how efficient they were (on-time for appointments).

Dr. Garza sent me here to get the stool containers. There were about 3-4 people in the waiting area and I was second in line. There was only 1 check-in kiosk. I was initially expecting that they would be quick and hand me one stool container. I was finally called in, shown 3 containers, and Angelica thoroughly explained what I needed to do. The reasons why I didn't rate the visit higher are the wait time and fewer check-in kiosks compared to LabCorp. Hopefully the process will be quicker when I come back.

The groceries have cooked themselves in then car trunk, and my wife is an hour overdue for her medications. Another client doing a urinalysis is waiting to redo it because the toilet would not stop, ruining the dye marker used in the bowl. It also sounds like the office is short staffed (two people?) More people are arriving.. I would stay around just to measure the wait but I'm going home and will try to salvage my two racks of partially cooked ribs from the trunk.

The Kiosks & LED monitors seem to be more hands-off from check-in to waiting. There is no clerk available unless they call your name so be ready to check in virtually. The text check-in where you launch your browser to complete the process wasn't successful as it got to the first page then wouldn't go any further except to select "Cancel Appointment" so I went up to the kiosk. I tried to scan my QR code under the "red" scan dot but that was also unsuccessful so I typed in my confirmation code. Hurray! I verified my info & had to scan in my DL & after that waited to be called. There's an LED screen playing helpful info on labs, health tips, how to check in if you are blind & a sidebar to show an abbreviation of your name & appt. time. It also shows how many are waiting & how many are scheduled in the next 60 minutes. Guess that's esp. for walk-ins & general info. Dawn called me in & was a friendly, upbeat Phlebotomist. I walked in & told her I felt like I was traveling & at the boarding gate always looking at the monitors to see when I was next, LOL! We exchanged pleasantries, traffic info(LOL!) & she logged in my lab request form from my doctor. I asked how long she's worked as a Phlebotomist & she said 24 years! Good for her. She took my blood, told me how long it should take for results & I was off my way within 15 minutes of my appointment.

Her name is Dawn and she was fantastic! She knew her stuff. I usually prep my arm so they can spot the vein and I forgot to do that this round and she spotted it quick and it was painless and seamless. She got all the vials she needed and had great rapport with her while I was sitting there. The girl has skills! Great customer service! She generally cared about me.
