I received a note from my doctor that the orders had been sent to Quest, so I quickly logged onto the website to make an appointment. I was happy to see that at 1:20PM... there was a 1:30PM and 1:40PM appointment for the same day. The clinic was in the on the same floor as my doctor's office which was very convenient. I arrived to the appointment at about 1:25PM since it was across the hall and was able to quickly check in via the kiosk as the mobile check-in process wouldn't allow a check-in more than 10 min early. The kiosk asked for my cell phone number, scanned my drivers license and my insurance card then I was good to go. Almost immediately after checking in, I was called back. The woman who called me back and was collecting the sample was very kind and careful and was easy to chat with. I had been to Quest many years ago but at a different location. Labs were free at my work clinic so for recent years that's where I went. Since covid, I had been going to LabCorp for labs. Dr. Garza sent me here to get the stool containers. There were about 3-4 people in the waiting area and I was second in line. There was only 1 check-in kiosk. I was initially expecting that they would be quick and hand me one stool container. I was finally called in, shown 3 containers, and Angelica thoroughly explained what I needed to do. The reasons why I didn't rate the visit higher are the wait time and fewer check-in kiosks compared to LabCorp. Hopefully the process will be quicker when I come back. read more

I arrived and logged in, after 25 mins, I was told they didn't have my order. My doctor's office had assured me last week that orders were sent. I had to reach out to my doctor's office while I was there twice because they kept telling me they still hadn't received orders. During this time I received a call from my doctor's office who assured me they had sent order 3 times and there should be no reason for quest not to have them. I finally was called in 2 hrs often arriving. I had been fasting since the night before which is why I arrived earlier than my scheduled time. Staff is not efficient and frankly they could care less whether you are being helped or not. Do not come to this location, parking is also a big problem, never any parking available. read more

Not a bad experience, quick and easy appointment and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The office is difficult to find on the third floor to your far right after you exit the elevators. Make sure you hydrate before your tests and bring a jacket because the office itself is COLD. Make sure to have the Quest app it makes checking in so much easier. Had an appointment today. Went to log in and they said I did not have an appointment. It wasn't even them telling me I didn't have an appointment that was bad... it was how extremely rude the lady at the front desk was. It's surprising how at 7:45 in the morning this young lady can be so aggressively rude. I'm really not one to complain but this was another level. All while I did have an appointment. I wanted to put 0 stars but it wouldn't allow a review without at least one. We showed up at 10:50 for a 12:40 appt. I completely understand the ones with appt before ours take priority. ( trying to make a flight and be at airport by 1:00) But what I don't understand is we checked in and they know we are here sitting. A patient walked in at 11:47, and got the 12:30 walk in appt. It's 12:06 and they get called. We are still sitting. They said they cannot see us until at least 30 min prior to appt. The system is overruling common sense . When I spoke to lady , she said sorry . We just cannot take you this early. So I should have walked in and waited less than an hour than make an appt. So now 12:09 and still waiting. I'm writing this post while waiting so let's see what happens in next sentence . Ok it's 12:13 and still nothing. Technically able to be called by now . Ok 12:15 called back. So made appt and filled the whole thing out with insurance and all and now we wait more because the system has no information. I cannot make this stuff up. The system is smart enough to make us wait but not keep our information when appt was made. And to top our experience , the lab tech was not happy to be at work today. Ok so now 12:30 and we can be done. Through out the wait time , maybe one or two waited .. and at several intervals only one was taken back and she says they do 3 at a time. Not true .. I watched and counted and saw the names each time. Their system and customer service have no common sense or urgency. To be fair , it's my flight I will miss is not their problem , but husband having surgery in 2 days and need blood work STAT according to orders but no one seems to have the compassion or understanding. I schedule my appointment on my phone last week (so easy). I arrived 5 minutes early. As I walked in the front door I pressed the button on the link they texted me, and I was all checked in. I sat down to wait, started to open a book on my phone when the phlebotomyst (sp?) opened the door to call me in. She was one of the most kind people I've encountered in years. Came here for Glucose testing at 28 Weeks pregnant, I was able to easily make an appointment online and actually came in earlier then I anticipated. Check in on the Kiosk was easy and the wait time was no longer then 10 minutes soon after. The staff was very polite, informative and attentive. I have absolutely no complaints on my experience, just be prepared to have a hard copy of your insurance or a print out, it's also good to ask whether you need to be fasting a few days prior to coming in. If I could give zero stars I would. We took our 12 month old for blood work, that was a nightmare and traumatic. First of all, ZERO compassion for children getting blood drawn. The first woman who tied and dig around for my babies vain seemed like she hated her job. I finally asked for someone els come and re stick our baby, and they were able to get his blood drawn. First things first, download the app. Go ahead and do that now, if you haven't done it already. This office was kind of tricky to find. If your entering through the emergency entrance, turn right and and take the elevators up to the 3rd floor. From there you'll turn right to head to the Attrium Medical Office Building Administrative offices, take another left, and it will be the first door on your right, suite 350. The simplest thing is to make your appointment online or on the app. When you get to the actual office, you can check in on the app, through the link they send you through text or at the kiosk near the reception desk, up to 10 minutes early. Be sure to bring a face mask, and respect the 6ft apart suggestion. When I got there, I was immediately nervous because the staff was extremely loud, they were cursing, and talking about personal matters. They were speaking as if they had hearing problems. Immediately I thought: Oh no, it's not professional. They're probably going to be one of those phlebotomists that are moving the needle around in my arm, not being able to find a vein, and demanding to prick my hands. If you haven't paid yet before you're appointment, you'll have to pay first. I paid through the app. Marvin Jones called me back to room 1. He was very kind and professional. However like most phlebotomist, he could draw blood because my veins were just to tiny. He then called in Justine, she too was so nice, accommodating and comforting, as I am terrified of needles. She got me a heating pad and kept being gentle with me. After 30-40 minutes of trying, they just couldn't find a vein. Justine gave me the number to their billing department in order to get a refund on my prepaid lab work. Justine and Marvin make a huge difference. They were outstanding. read more

I was sent to collections on a bill that I never ever received and have been apart of this office for 5 years now. All the other quest locations I have been to they have sent me an emailed ebill and I paid no problem. But there was absolutely no attempt to contact me by email, mail or phone. This is for my appt that was scheduled on August 1st at 8:30 am in the Northeast OB/GYN office located on the 2nd floor. The lab tech was amazing! I was there for my 3 hour glucose testing so I was dreading it, my nerves were bad because I had failed the first one (28 weeks pregnant), and I was starving due to fasting but she made me feel comfortable and confident, she was quick and very tentative, and most importantly she made the process painless and didn't leave any bruising even though blood was withdrawn 4 times in the same spots. Front desk lady is extremely rude!! And the office is extremely slow!! I am a home health nurse, and all I needed to do was drop off patients labs before they went bad, and they had me sitting In waiting room while they called people back that got here after me! I have patients to see and was told too bad, they don't run on my schedule!! I understand that, but it literally takes 2 seconds to hand someone the labs!! Every person there had troubles with their orders as well! Very incompetent staff!!! I had problems with my blood work order and she called the doctor's office several times until she had it solved and then called me at home to come back to finally have my blood drawn. It's a pretty painless blood draw but they often don't have someone at the front, which makes it hard to know how long your wait will be (or whether anyone even knows you are there). That being said, most of the times I have gone there, someone has been at the front, but that is such a basic thing, I would expect something closer to 100% of the time. Wait times are highly variable, so make an appointment if possible. (However, even then, you may have to wait 10 minutes or so.) read more

My wife had an appointment for a blood draw. We were 10 minutes early to the appointment, and patiently waited for 40 minutes as every single other person was called, even those without appointments. When my wife finally went and asked about how much longer it was going to be, the worker told her, very rudely, that she had called her name and my wife must not have heard it. We were not speaking during the wait, and there is no way possible that her name was called and we both missed it. The worker was extraordinarily rude, and did not take responsibility for her mistake; she lied about it. Unfortunately, due to the nature of healthcare, quest diagnostics is difficult to avoid. There are several Quest Diagnostics locations in the Stone Oak area, but due to this locations proximity to my PCP's office, I decided to visit this location. I arrived on a weekday before noon and the parking lot was full, I had to make several circles around the parking lot to find a parking spot. Hence, my advice is to arrive sooner to find a parking space. Quest is located on the third floor and at the main entrance of the Atrium there is a sign with the room number Quest is located. When arriving, there were three people in front of me, but the receptionist was very friendly. I was taken back within 10 minutes of arriving. My phlebotomist was also very friendly, asking me how my day was while drawing my blood and ensuring that she was not hurting me or I wasn't getting queasy. Overall, I highly recommend this location, fast and friendly service, I did not need to make an appointment, I walked in and was attended fast. My wife had her blood drawn per the request by her Dr. Wickersham in order to get the RA and Lupus medication. The billing office is the worst I have ever had to deal with for getting claims processed for payment. We have two insurances PHCS and Tricare Select. The billing office keeps sending the claim to Tricare and they keep getting denied for not processing the correct paperwork. I have been fighting this since the first bill addressed to my wife for payment. THIS IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY!! The billing office you call at 1 800 694 0427 are nasty to the patient and lazy in doing their job. I spoke with a "supervisor" names Diana, she told me straight up if I want the bill to be processed it is the patients job to call PHCS and get the EOB then forward that document to their office. They are to busy and it is very difficult and time consuming for the staff to try and obtain the EOB. How dare them tell a patient to do the billing office job! I was in medical billing for over 20 years and find that attitude to the patient pathetic. The lab test requested are payable by Tricare once the proper paperwork is received. If any manager reads this call me, I would like to get your position on the billing office. PS I called PHCS and was told they always have a hard time working with the customer service staff. The Atrium really needs to reassess their front staff or send them to classes to teach them on proper etiquette when dealing with customers. This location is always a zoo so thought it would be best to make an appointment before coming in. That didn't help - got here at 9:45am for a 10:00am appointment only to be told they were " running behind" even for appointments. We weren't even checked in until 10:40am and have no idea how long it will take to be seen for the actual blood work. There is no point in scheduling an appointment for this site. Called several times to inquire about a special blood test.... no one answered the phones. Did manage to get an answering machine but no one ever returned the call. When I took my child in for the blood work it couldn't be done.... only done at a certain time of day. Rude staff. They said they were too busy to answer the phones as 3 of them sat at a desk. This review may be helpful the next time you need lab work done. There are several locations nearby, but I like coming here because of the coffee shop downstairs. I need to get lab tests done about four times a year and they require complete fasting, so I head to the coffee shop immediately for my cup of Starbucks coffee. The fact they serve Starbucks is important to me since I love my morning coffee so! But back to Quest, you can create an online profile and schedule your own appt. That is so great to me, I like controlling that and scheduling it as early as possible. If you have an appt., they will call you in almost immediately which is nice, I mean who likes going to get this done? The staff are all pretty nice and I've never had any problems. One warning, make sure they have your doctor in their system if you are having labs done for an out of town physician. I see a specialist in Houston and traveled there for my appt. only to find out they never received the report. It was a kink they hoped to resolved within the year, as they expanded their network information. Just be sure to ask they know where to send the info if you are seeing an out of town doctor. read more
