My visit to the Labcorp on Stone Oak Pkwy was frustratingly similar to a trip to the DMV. I had a 9:45 a.m. appointment, checked in at the kiosk, uploaded my ID and insurance, and received confirmation stating I was successfully checked in for my appointment ("Thank you. We now have you checked in for your appointment"). I had no reason to believe there was any issue. After waiting 45 minutes, I noticed walk-in patients who arrived after me were being called first. When I asked an employee to check on my appointment, she initially said she couldn't find it. After I showed my confirmation email, she found it but claimed it had been "deleted" because the kiosk registered my check-in five minutes after my appointment time. Despite waiting nearly an hour and having proof of my appointment, she refused to honor my original check-in time. Instead, she re-entered me as a new walk-in and said I would have to wait behind about 10 patients who had all arrived after me. Even another patient confirmed I had been there the longest. When I questioned her "solution", I was told that if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else. The most concerning part was that every piece of documentation I received actually indicated that I had successfully checked in, so I had no way of knowing my appointment had supposedly been deleted. Even after acknowledging I had been waiting the longest, the employee refused to correct the situation. I wasn't upset about what appeared to be a system/tech error, although that is also a serious problem. While this may not have been the employee's fault, she refused to do the right thing and offer an appropriate solution. Instead she thought it would be okay to keep me waiting even longer, completely disregarding the fact that I had an appointment, while also disregarding "first come, first serve." This was poor customer service and a complete failure to treat patients fairly. Please do better and learn to be kind to your patients. read more

My spouse and myself went there for our annual biometric screen. Front desk staff was very rude from the moment we arrived and escalated the rudeness after that. Regardless of the system outage or whatever was happening, is no excuse for this type of behavior. I worked health care for 26 years and always conducted myself professionally. Went in for a scheduled bioscreen that my employer requires. They are an out of state employer, so I just schedule the appointment and they fill out the order and submit it to the lab. I arrived to this location yesterday and was treated as rudely as possible. I was called to the front desk by someone who only used my first name, so I went up not sure if it was really for me. Immediately the woman working quickly asks what labs I am there for. I say I am actually there for a scheduled bioscreen for my employer. She then says some doctor's name so fast I couldn't understand and asks me if thats the name of my dr. I told her, I don't know because it's from my employer, who is out of state. She tells me I have to confirm yes or no who the doctor is on the order. When I again honestly say I do not know who the doctor is, she says they have to confirm the doctor's name directly from me so they know the order is for me. I already confirmed it is for me, stated it is a bioscreening etc and I am just being honest that I don't know the doctor's name. This person then tells me she is going to refuse me service. To which, yes I got upset! I am up there in front of an entire room of people and she wants to deny service for something I pre scheduled! Then another person at the desk tells me the same thing, then realizes I am upset, so finally rudely says to the other worker "just get her in and get her out." Afterwards when I sat back down, they make a loud announcement that they called their manager and everyone needs to know who is on the doctor orders. These people are so rude! Last year I registered for the same bioscreen at this location and by chance found out they were suddenly closed with no warning or notification they had closed for some random reason. I had to schedule a month later at a totally different lab. I will never go back to this location after the way I was treated yesterday. I thought healthcare workers were in the business to help, but all I received was attitude because I guess they didn't enjoy working on a Saturday morning. Easy system to sign up with. Joe the phlebotomist, did a wonderful job today. He took my blood and I literally didn't feel a thing. You can definitely tell he has years of experience. Maybe they were having a bad day but i wanted to come back on her and write another review about the woman that was not so pleasant that day. I scheduled my routine bloodwork online. It was very intuitive and easy experience, which included completing insurance information. I brought my insurance card, anticipating that the staff would want to see it in person and it was totally not needed. Pretty sure they were trying to minimize contact. I was fasting for the bloodwork, was feeling pretty hungry, and decided to show up early. It was not a problem at all. There was a digital kiosk in the waiting area for me to check in. I scanned my driver's license as part of the check-in process and I opted to wait in the car. It wasn't long I was notified via text message that the technician was ready for me. The technician was quick and efficient. I hardly felt it and was on my way. Definitely would recommend this place! read more

They were nice and quick. Very professional. I'm not great with needles but the tech was so good and so fast, it was a breeze.

I showed up an hour before my scheduled appointment for routine bloodwork because I couldn't take fasting anymore, and they were able to quickly get me back to a room. It took all of maybe 2-3 minutes when I made it to the room and I was done. The phlebotomist was very kind and efficient. read more

Rude asf my bf came for a drug test for his job he had to pee really bad about to go in his pants bad they refused to let him go we had been here for an hour atp the finally let him but they said he had to wait 20 extra minutes if he went as soon as he walked out of the bathroom the lady who was rude asf to him about needing to pee called his name and said you should've just waited for me instead of just going it took him no more than 2 minutes to pee if he was next in line they should've told him that or just have him a cup and let him go super quick her attitude and the way she spoke was unprofessional and she is lucky I'm not here for my own test because genuinely the only reason I didn't confront her was so I don't make this take longer for him no reason for her to be nasty and unprofessional frankly I'm pissed he came yesterday to get the test done he called to see the hours online says they are open till 4 they closed at 12 and refused to answer the phone he called 2 times at 10 showed up at 11/11:30 honestly I feel bad for anyone in this woman's personal life she seems like a miserable person who hates herself and anyone or anything around her 10 minutes later Another guy had the same exact interaction with the same lady atleast she was somewhat nicer but still read more

Felt like being at the DMV dealing with employees that were pissed they had to be their, but more pissed that they had to interact with customers. The service was quick, friendly, and painless. Great care quality. The phlebotomist, Ro Morales III, is an expert at what he does and he is GREAT! He has drawn my blood twice for labs. Each time, it was painless, he can find the vein, no jostling around, friendly and great sense of humor at 8 am on Saturday, 5/24/24. Basically the two women at the front are unbelievably rude. Then, they gave me containers for my stool samples. They wrote "frozen" and "refrigerated" on them, and had me write my name and DOB on them also. I followed their directions, and then my doctors office called saying I didn't use the proper containers so my samples were invalid -but I used the ones they gave me and wrote on. The lab also didn't say anything about the containers supposedly not being correct when I dropped the samples off but apparently they were running their mouth to my doctors office about how I used the wrong containers that they gave me, wrote on, and accepted read more

I understand why they get poor reviews. I arrived at 11:35 and the door was locked. I heard talking and laughing inside, so tried it again and knocked. After 5 minutes, a woman opened the door to leave. Behind her was an old tech who told me irritably, "We're closed." I saw a sign that said "Lunch 12-1," and asked her what time they close. She responded, "Now." I told her I was hoping to know the schedule, and she said, "We want lunch so we're closing now." I mentioned the sign said lunch was 12-1, and she retorted, "So we'll be back at one," and shut the door. Why would I trust these people sticking needles in me? read more

So bad. Unprofessional staff (the woman who drew labs was downright rude) and an unsanitary space. Also unable to accommodate elderly people with a place to sit, told my 82 year old mother to sit on floor in hallway. I filed a complaint on Lab Corp website, it was THAT awful! Up front people are not friendly at all. They said they were behind and busy, so clearly had no time for the friendliness. The lab tech (short hispanic lady with black eye, gray hair, glasses) was the worst. They were running 45min late, one lady in the lobby waiting for a work related drug screen. The lady asked how much longer because she has been holding her urine prior to the appt. Ms. Blackeye lab tech told the lady, "Well I am sure everyone has to go just as bad as you, so you are going to have to wait". People in the lobby all looked at each other with shock. On man said, "now we know why she has the black eye". My appt was 30min late and they were unable to complete the test due to expired request. read more

They do not have their sign on the exterior of the other building. they do not have themselves listed on the exterior directory. they are not listed on the directory in the lobby. I had to ask 3 people where they were. On the second floor, down a dimly lit corridor, there is a homemade sign taped by what appears to be a janitor closet door. Enter the patient waiting area to find overturned chairs, holes in the dirty walls, and loose and missing baseboards around the entire facility. Log in to a wobbly kiosk and wait. Ask employees why they do not answer the phone, for appointments or to verify hours, and get a heated rundown about lack of adequate employees, only two on staff to help over 100 patients a day, and get told nobody answers the phones, they're too busy. I thought I was in a third world country. read more

I had to do a wellness check for my work. I live closer to the Medical Center, but the lab corps in the Medical Center have really bad reviews so I decided to drive further and go to the Stone Oak location. I like it that was an easy process, I didn't need to fill out paper work for the wellness since everything was already in the system. I could check in on the website and wait in my car. The only thing I didn't like was I got a text after 10 minutes I checked in saying the technician is ready to see me but I had to wait another 15 minutes when I got into the room. My actual appt was less than 10 minutes. They have 2 check in machines and only 6 people can be in the waiting room due to Covid. read more

It took longer to drive to the office than to get my blood work done! The service was quick, friendly, and painless.

I came in for Covid-19 Antibody testing. Waited a few minutes, in and out in under 30. Staff was friendly, and didnt bat an eye when I asked for a butterfly needle. The best blood draw ever, no bruising or bleeding. Pain scale 1-10 registered as a 1 at most. Mosquito bite comparable. read more

I never expected to write a review of a lab but honestly they went above and beyond ! Yes labs can have long waits but to be fair they cannot control how many people walk through the door; and despite it being spring break and every seat in the room was full we were in and out in under 40 minutes But here is where they made a difference - my child is petrified and I mean completely and utterly petrified of needles, she will not let them them near her so I knew it would be bad. However the staff were calm , patient and got a small butterfly needle out to do the job BUT the thing that stood out more than anything was the lady that checked us in realized what was going on - she came back to the room and sat down besides my daughter, lay my daughter down and-calmed her taking about school , hobbies etc to the point we were able to get the blood drawn quickly and easily - she took a child that was traumatized by needles and turned the experience around and any parent knows how much that means Made a difference and for that I thank you read more

I checked in using the digital device. after an hour of patiently waiting to be called, I asked the personnel and only then the attendant informed me that I could have drop off the samples after check-in. The digital software should be fixed to notify the user of this. Lost one hour of work on a Monday morning, February 10, 2020. Definitely personnel and digital system must be improved. read more

absolutely the worst lab in San Antonio. The girls behind the glass are extremely rude.

I received horrible service from an employee name Ana. From the moment she brought me to the back to collect my urine sample, she was staring at me intently and making me feel uncomfortable. Next, she asked me to put my things in the lockbox, which I was okay with because that's how it always goes. The problem came when she asked me to take my headscarf off and down my hair. I didn't see or hear her ask anyone else to do that. I felt disrespected and like she was discriminating against me. When I expressed that to her, she told me to leave and told me she would not help me and that I needed to go to another LabCorp location. I asked her for the number of her supervisor, and she refused to give it to me. I waited at the front desk for the other lady because she was lovely. She offered to perform my urine sample collection instead. Instead of allowing the more affable woman to do the urine collection Ana came to the front and asked me to come to the back in a nasty tone so that she could collect my urine sample. I went, but I remained silent. After giving my urine sample, I walked out of the bathroom to find her whispering about me to a Caucasian woman who was a patient for lab services across the hall. She then began to speak to me in this sing-song voice which I found very condescending and rude. And still, I remained quiet because I could tell she was trying to provoke me. I will never go to this location again. I felt like Ana discriminated against me because I'm a woman of color. If Labcorp has rules that my hair needs to be in a specific style before I go there, I think it needs to be written/stated before I get there. Then I can decide if I want to use your service. She claims that that was policy, but I've been to that location multiple times before, and I've been wearing the same hairstyle for several years, and I've never been told to take my hair down and take my headwrap off. I don't even get treated like that when I go to the airport. Ana needs some education on cultural sensitivities. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I received attitude from both women at the desk. When I told them I had STAT bloodwork to be drawn they had to go ask if they do that there. I then was told to sit down and I waited for about 8 people to be called before me. Once I handed them the form it was asked again if they do STAT lab work on Saturday and when it was stated yes, she exhaled very loud as if this really annoyed her. I again made sure to tell the phlebotomist it was STAT, I had a procedure that was waiting on this result. She said yes, it will be reported to my doctor in a few hours. Turns out it wasn't labeled as STAT but as "Same Day Results". Clearly there is no concern for completing their job accurately. read more

I have been going to lab corp for 12 years at this location and have had exceptional service every time. The staff is caring and friendly. The wait time is short and I'm in and out in 15 minutes. June is such a special person to me. She always prayed with me after drawing my blood during infertility treatments. I was happy to go back and tell her I was pregnant. Absolutely awful. I have *always* gone t o Quest Diagnostics when I was in Houston. I notice that Lab Corp is used here in San Antonio a lot and so I gave it a shot, but that was BEFORE my boyfriend went and they pulled the most doucher and shady thing they possibly could. He tells me they had him sign a form and give them a credit card number so that if insurance DENIED the claim they could charge him. He asked the girl several times, "Okay, but this is a check card, you will advise me before this is done right?" They responded "Oh of course!". A few weeks later I checked the EOB and everything was NOT denied, but went to deductible and without as much as even a phone call they deducted it from our account. The sheet he signed did not agree to that and I was disgusted. I work in the health care industry & in insurance for that matter and I have NEVER in my life dealt with such sketchiness. I made the mistake of having my blood work done there and that would be the last time. The people are extremely rude, grabby and unprofessional. It's dirty and the girl who drew my blood dropped one of my vials of blood on the flood and left it there for several minutes until she felt like picking it up. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Someone from cooperate needs to come down and check out what's going on. If it's the norm for Lab Corp to trick people into giving them their credit cards to get their money faster they should be closed down. I am appalled at this place. Several days after they debited our account, we got a letter in the mail saying "Thank you for payment." Go to Quest...please. Save yourself the anger, disappointment & extreme unprofessional-ism of this place. I get that there are people who don't pay their bills, but we're not those people and a simple call to let us know that we would be charged would have sufficed. When I first walked in, it smelled like a delicious breakfast restaurant, which is very unfortunate for the many patients here who have to fast for their lab work. Took my daughter in this morning at 11 with online posted hours of 8-12. Even called before hand. Got there to find a note on the door stating they were closed and sent us to a location 40 minutes away of course which we couldn't find. If you are short staffed post different hours online and put that on you voicemail. Have some consideration for your customers time. read more
