Made my first visit today to be seen for some ongoing coughing and sinus issues that haven't gone away on their own. I had to find a location that takes veterans affairs health insurance. They were amazing and friendly and efficient. I arrived as a walk in, got checked in, and still filling out forms. As soon as I got done filling out the forms I was taken right back to get my vital signs and start the screening. I was taken right into a room and saw the doctor within a few minutes. I got my treatment and prescription and was on my way with 30 minutes. This is my new urgent care for aure. read more

I started going to this urgent care center because they are near my house. I now go because it is a such a great place to get caring and fast medical care. I have taken my son and my husband here, and they also were treated wonderfully and seen quickly. My recent visit was awesome. I made an appointment online and when I arrived the staff greeted me and after making my co-pay, I was immediately seen and my medical issue was addressed. Absolute worst place I've been too. Made an appointment, they requested my insurance info. No problem. Went into my appointment and was charged $130 even though my portion was only $44. Why ask for my insurance info if you aren't even going to run my insurance?!? I've been back and forth with these people for 4 months now because I was overcharged $86 and I still haven't received my money back. It's always "we submitted it to accounting, call back in a few weeks." I'm over it. This place will overcharge you and not reimburse you! read more

My experience here was fantastic. The checkin was all electronic and quickly done via my personal cell phone. There was zero wait during the time that I came. All the staff members I encountered were really pleasant and professional. The PA, Matthew, that treated me was knowledgeable of my needs and treated me appropriately. I came last week and was seen by Dr. Robert Cocke. he is the WORST DOCTOR I HAVE AVER SEE IN MY LIFE and THEY ARE ALSO THE WORST MANAGER JAMIE ( I'm not sure her name) OVER THERE. My daughter 2 years old refuses to let him check her ear, she was crying so he didn't want to check her anymore. We were there for almost 1 hour but just because my daughter cried and he didn't want to check on her anymore. I have been in many doctor's offices this is the 1st time it ever happened to us. I did yell at him and give him the... you word (I don't write it here because you can report and remove my post, but I still throw the.... word to you because you are WORTH it) what do you expect me to do when you refuse to check on my daughter and ask us to leave and don't come back. That is what the doctor is supposed to do with his little patient. If you're looking to get a Covid test and require same day results, this is your place. The customer service is good and they're relatively fast in getting people in-and-out. Also worth noting is that they do not provide you with a physical copy of the results unless you request for it. Should you want a physical copy, you'll have to stick around until after you get swabbed otherwise your results will be provided to you via telephone. After coming here religiously for 2 years for every need. When checking in through their mandatory scan.. the app pulled up my daughter info. When I checked in. Front office said i apologize and switched my info instead of hers. 3 days later i brought daughter in. Checked in at 2:30 and finally came in to check issue at 3:15. They stated her info wasnt on file and i must be mistaken she never been here. (Chris) I insisted she had been here for 2 years and had them checked my info and found her chart. Then they said I need to stop creating new accts cause i was causing issues. Never once took accountability and threw me under the bus as the issue. I went in to Fast Aid Urgent Care in San Antonio to get a simple Covid test. My insurance company was billed $788. When I inquired as to why my insurance was billed so much, Fast Aid Urgent Care's billing service told me Fast Aid has made a deal with BC BS to charge that amount. When I spoke with BC BS, they had no knowledge of any deal. They also inquired about the charges and found out I was billed $350 for an office visit plus over $400 for a medical procedure that I never had. When my insurance company tried to call them, They could never get an answer. Fast Aid is ripping off people and insurance companies, badly. read more

I came in for covid like Symptoms so I wasn't I very surprised I was asked to wait in the car. That's was fine. It was a long wait but again it's the holiday seasons so again that's fine. The staff were fine, normal polite staff with exception to the female receptionist who was an absolute jerk. Every interaction with her she made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. I had a co pay and my bf was in exam room aswell for his exam so she had to go into the room for his card and he told me she was giving him an attitude was short with him and looked pissed. She very snippy with everyone not just me. I watched her interact with other people and she was just so aggressive. I went to this clinic. Great check in process, friendly staff up front, friendly med tech, friendly assistant PA. All was great except when I was in the room waiting and I believe there were 3 other patients in rooms as well the the main Dr. On staff was berating the PA in training so loudly it was terrible.. and he was yelling at her that she needed to ask the patient abiut STD... I heard the entire thing over the little mermaid that was on my tv.. and I'm sure if someone was in the waiting room and other rooms they had to have heard the whole ordeal as well. He came in to my room and was the worst.. like bedside manner of Dr House.. LOL. Spend more time training your Dr how to treat patients .. your not an emergency room.. there are 5 Urgent cares near you. Next time I'll go to one of them. read more

Receptionist was surly,rude and dismissive on first visit. Don't believe they're in ADA compliance as now operating. Long lines for everyone standing in the heat. No provision for older or disabled individuals. No chairs or shade or even taking info for place in line. As a corporate entity they don't even answer the phone. I have tried another med clinic across 1604 (because of the wait time at Fast Aid)and will NOT return there. I could have waited at Fast Aid and been quicker and received much better care. Last time I went was the first week of July due to back spasms. I went online did the all paperwork and made sure that any co/pays were paid. I called made the payment was told a receipt would be emailed still nothing! When I got to the office they verified I had paid and that is when the nurse said will maybe she should pay this co/pay now? I'm sorry but what does she have to do when it comes to billing? Ok let that pass because I was in pain. I went in got blook pressure, weight, etc. done then put in a room. I didn't not wait long but the PA I believe not sure came in asked me a few questions about my back did no exam and filled out a prescription for muscle relaxer. I did not even get a Patient Summary. I have used the website requesting the receipt for payment and nobody answers. I have used this Urgent Care many times in the past however this time I was taken back by the lack of care. From here on I will be going to another Urgent Care. I just notice they billed my first insurance $191.00 I'm really not sure why because the PA did no exam.... read more

Girl at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE when we walked in to ask about Covid testing, she very rudely explained that it would cost $220. My husband turned to walk out and she commented loud enough for us to hear "well go get your test done at a free site then!" WOW!! My husband was already out the door so I called after we left. I talked to the same girl, and instead of apologizing she replied, first of all ma'am y'all were rude when you walked in!" I asked how is asking about a Covid test being rude??" Had used this place a couple times in the past and service was fast and staff friendly enough. However, on last visit to get meds for knocking out a cough - prescribed meds (steroid, z-pac; 4-day treatment) did not cure issue. Total time with doc was literally 2min.; I returned a week later to inquire about getting either a Diff prescription or extension of the 1st one-- only to be told I'd have to pay $100 ($50 copay then insurance + $50 for Urgent Care) for a new exam.. to basically be treated for the same exact symptoms/issue. IMO I was either mis-diagnosed and given wrong meds or a treatment plan too short. Either way, on principle of the matter I will not be returning. read more

Once I went to the CVS minute clinic up the road and waited over an hour after my appointment to be seen. I just left MedPost and they said I would have to wait till 4:30 to be seen. I wish Charlie had his own practice because he is fantastic! He is very down to earth and a wonderful and caring PA. This location is close to our home, and they see infants. (Most urgent care clinics we've found, do not.) We have visited this clinic more times than I would like to recall, but all of the staff makes us feel very welcome each time we come. We have never had to wait long, including today being a Sunday and Christmas Eve. This is such a change from Texas Med Clinic, where I've never been in and out in less than 2 hours. I debated on whether or not to give a good review because I didn't want the masses to flock here and flood the waiting room next time we need to visit, but I have to support this staff for all they have done for my family! I visited Fast Aid twice this week, once for myself and once for my 1 year old son over the holiday weekend. I signed up online for an appointment, and was in and out within an hour each time. My trip (during the morning, less busy time I'm guessing) took under 45 minutes. The check-in staff were all very friendly/efficient. Places like this make me wonder why I even bother with seeing a primary care doctor anymore for minor issues, illness, etc. The PAs that worked with both of us were excellent, had a few prescriptions sent over to our preferred pharmacy QUICKLY and both of us have already started to feel better. Facility was spotless. Everyone was professional. I've been trying to figure out if PA Heausler is affiliated with any practices, because I would love to see him if he was with a PCM somewhere. He was great with my son, and understood my concerns as a mother. Highly recommend! Urgent Care clinics have come a long way since I remember them.. :) read more

This urgent care was a great place to visit for care. I went in and was seen within 15-20 min. They took me insurance information and promptly notified me of the costs. I was triaged and saw the PA within a total of 30-40 min. I had an upper respiratory infection and they had my prescriptions sent in quickly. They really do give "fast" aid to those that come in. read more

I've only been here once so far and really loved the doctor I spoke with more than my usual doctor. He was extremely sweet and could make conversation easily, very inviting and calm personality. Front desk woman was a tiny bit rude to an old man but I don't believe she meant to be lol. My only issue is that either they never answer their phones (I get being busy) or there's something up with their phone lines Bc I can never get through, it sends me right to the directory which isn't helpful at all. I was told by the VA to visit a community care facility that contracts with the VA. I went to the location on Bulverde RD where they said they were unable to verify my benefits coverage through their automated system. I spent 15 mins on the phone with the VA and they "verified" my eligibility. The manager Mr. Tran said they needed a reference # to which the Va rep said they only need my VA card. He said no he needed a ref # and after an ensuing argument with him and the front desk staff, the VA rep said I should find another facility as they were not being helpful. The front desk clerk then started snorting & Laughjng!!! To which I replied she was a "moron". Tran then lost his cool and told me to get out after I agreed with the VA rep and reiterated that Fast Aid Urgent Care should be removed from their network. I have never been treated as poorly at a healthcare facility as I was today. Shame on you guys. read more

I recently came here for a hurt ankle. I put it off because I thought it was fine, but after continued pain for 11 days, i came in for an x-ray. I was very relieved to not receive either slack for not coming sooner, or convincing foregoing getting an x-ray. i had doctor Kami and she was super sweet and attentive! The staff seemed to be conscious of my financial struggle, being a college student, without me even having to tell them. i got here a couple minutes early and checked in and was called in right at my appointment time. I'm not sure this would be everyone's experience being that i got a very early appointment, but time wise they were very fast and considerate! read more

Beware of their fraudulent billing! I needed a COVID test quickly. They said they wouldn't bill my insurance, so I'd have to pay the $220 cost myself. I was stuck and paid it. I received a text 3 days later saying I owed them $361. There was nothing in the paperwork or verbally communicated that the cost was $581, not $220. Nor would they bill my insurance when I asked them to again (likely because they knew their scam wouldn't work with my insurance company). read more

We had an amazing experience! Check-in was quick and easy (we spent less than 30 minutes all together). From the seamless and brief online appointment scheduling system to the amazing staff, First Aid did not disappoint. We also loved the convenient text messaging system alerting us of updates with our appt. PA Hedgepeth was kind, thorough, and had excellent bedside manner while evaluating our 7 month daughter who we brought in for potential ear infection (which she had, in addition to Covid) He was gentle with her and extremely knowledgeable. Nurse Bri was so sweet and playful with our little one making her laugh and feel at ease with the not so easy symptoms she was dealing with. Overall, this is our preferred urgent care; they also are in network with the VA, which means our family is fully covered. Had decided to stop by after work to get checked out for a women's health issue. It was on my way home from work and I decided to set an appointment just in case. Walked in and appointment was not necessary, they took me right in which was great! Had the tests taken that needed to be done and the doctor asked me a couple questions just to make sure we were in the same page. Asked me to follow up in 3 days if systems hadn't subsided and the office reached out to me before I could even call in! Really showed their concern for patients they see. So I know that during a pandemic it sucks to have to venture to a place like this when it is not covid related. While all the people around me where there for covid test, the wait was short, nurse and dr were nice. The place was clean. I was a walk in for a non covid related issue and it took about 45 minutes total to check in and out. I would recommend this place for anything that you need but just keep in mind that 9 out 10 people in there are in for covid test (nov 2020) so don't touch your face, wear your mask etc. All around me I heard ppl saying your positive or your negative, and when they got to me they still treated me and my concerns. It's was almost like something different for them since all they see are covid issues. The nurse and Dr were great and I appreciate the one on one care during this super busy time for them.
