This resort is individually owned by buyers and owners are not responsible for anything a guest in their owned room complains about. Do your homework and stay elsewhere because the manager won't help instead she'll run her mouth. Waste of money and horrible experience. On top of room being outdated, bed bugs, crisp towels, old and not soft, amenities are lacking, cob webs on patio bugs, unkept. Outdated rooms, moldy shower. Dogs aren't allowed except guests sneak them in including the pool or the guest will leave their dog outside the gate of pool. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me to! By the way we booked this stay from July 3-6 and left on the 5th. After the 3rd and fourth being awoke by children and staff not dealing with it. Gross, outdated roomed with nasty rude staff and since the apple doesn't fall from from the tree the manager is ignorant!

We left it very clean, but did not strip the beds or wash towels because no instruction was provided on how to manage these items. We swept, ran the dishwasher and left it very clean. We also left a tip for the cleaning crew. There were no instructions at check out nor were there instructions provided in the unit. So, we did our best to leave it ready for the cleaning crew. Several days later their general manager Kay Englebert emailed me to say that we were charging us $250 for cleaning because we left the sheets on the bed, placed towels in the tub instead of a laundry basket we were unaware of, and had two dishes left that did not fit in the last run of the dishwasher before we checked out. $250!!!! I went back and forth in several emails asking for clarification on how we could be charged when no one explained any check out procedures to us nor did they provide instructions in the unit. They had no answer or documentation to show because they never did either of those things. They tried to say they went back in to check the condo and found instructions - but where were there when we stayed?? No where to be seen! We saw instruction on sanitizing our dishes and conserving water and how to use the fireplace if we wanted (but didn't) and that was it. NO INSTRUCTIONS on check-out procedures or expectations. They just stopped replying to my emails and charged my card. I am currently in the process of disputing it with my credit card company. It's so disappointing that this happened because we would have gone back another time, but this horrendous lack of communication all around, poor management, and dishonest way of operating will keep us from ever returning or recommending to anyone else. Stay away if you also don't want to be charged for ridiculous hidden fees! What a nightmare.

I realize they dont control the weather but we didnt get the same value for the same money paid by folks lucky enough to have calm water. 3 shipwrecks? My wife and I are fairly competent semi-pro photographers...i didnt even try to get a picture...im not sure if she got any...she hasn't looked yet. I know i saw zero shipwrecks though.

It was dark, small, living TV wasn't working, the lighting was terrible. The one positive thing that I can say is it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We checked out after an hour or so and found a place that suited our needs. Hopefully, we'll get at least 4 of our 5 nights refunded. My advice is check the rooms out before you check in and call the hotels directly before you book it. Reservation website aren't always accurate and truthful. As a former front desk associate, I know how important is to have a satisfied guest, so that your hotel is highly recommended and returned to.

This place makes me want to be an innkeeper when I'm older…read more It's an old 2 building inn nestled off the main road of Hwy 42 in the quaint lil town of Ephraim in Door County. The accommodations were renovated, clean and well-maintained. I stayed in Bill's Room - b/c it was the least expensive boarding with a good reputation. At $80/night (for either on or off season), it's definitely more affordable than the nearby inns/motels. Don't expect a lot of amenities with the small room though - but there is coffee, free WiFi, and cable TV. No phone though, which made things difficult since we had absolutely no reception on our cell phones. A complete Cell Phone Dead Zone - I had to drive out a few minutes onto the 42 in order to call the innkeepers to have them come fix some broken blinds. Inconvenient, but not too bad. As it's a small, family-owned inn, they don't have someone manning the office everyday. But Hugh and Alicia were just a phone call away and would drop by when you needed something. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay - the other rooms they have available are really nice - w/ fireplaces, sitting areas, etc. Their website is well set up with photos of the rooms and prices for the season. It's centrally located in Ephraim and walking distance to the water and restaurants. Check it out next time you're in Door County!

The king size bed was very comfortable!There is even a private outdoor seating area that we enjoyed every day. The hostess, Tami, was prompt with all replies. Breakfast is served to you at your room, so you can have a private getaway. The location is great too. We only had to walk a block or two in any direction to find a little boutique, restaurant or bar.

We had a gigantic jetted tub in our room. Ten minutes in there helped me sleep better at night. A full, hot breakfast is served in a basket left at your door so you can enjoy it in the peacefulness of your own room. I very much appreciated not having to eat with other guests, and we had a lovely sunroom for enjoying meals. There is ample street parking and a free city lot across the street. Once we checked in, every place we visited in town was within a 3-4 block radius, so we walked everywhere. We loved it and would definitely book here again on a future trip to Door County.

This newly renovated, family owned lodge has so much small town charm, you just don't want to leave. I woke just before sunrise to dim light, a slight overcast and quiet waves hitting the sandy beach just 40-50 yards from the back porch seating! There is a slight trail that will guide you past and around a local house that is perched right on the beach. Don't be afraid to walk past it, the lodge owns beach access and the neighbors have learned to live with it (We confirmed the route to access the beach [Right in front to us] with the lodge owner) Hubby made our plans to travel to WI just a week before we arrived! He tried to have us stay near or very near Lake Michigan and Green Bay. So, we embarked on five different locations for five individual nights. This was our third overnight, our second on the peninsula. What a wonderfully peaceful evening. The best word I can use to describe the lodge is just "peaceful". I say this to be clear-- People woke to just sit quietly out back amidst the view - but since I could not be quiet, I sought out someone to share the experience with. We found, we enjoyed!! Rooms seemed recently renovated- and that is my presumption since the owner said they just took over a year or so ago. Bathroom floors were new, as was the paint and the texturized walls. The decor is simple and muted, but not unflattering. The beds were comfortable and pillows extra fluffy!! Towels were fluffy and bed linens were super white and clean. There was a coffee shop on site called "A Little Bit of Coffee" which featured the Door County Coffee brand and boasted a variety of their flavors. We truly enjoyed this cute, little hotel and look forward to staying there for several days on our next visit to Wisconsin.
