Went here because I heard they created a legendary breakfast burrito called "The Admiral" and it definitely lived up to the hype. I was offered the 2.0 version that included bacon and that was an absolute game changer. It was so filling that I couldn't even finish the entire thing and for the price, it was a bargain. Been a long time since we've been here, but since one place closer to us has gone downhill, we decided to give them a try. This place is always busy on weekends, so don't be surprised if you have a wait. This is typical American diner fare, done right. I had the meat lovers omelette and it was pretty packed with bacon ham and sausage meat. Home fries are middle of the road, not charred and not undercooked. The coffee they serve is excellent. The whole waitstaff was friendly and pleasant. The place is very clean land pleasant surroundings. If you want to sample a typical American diner, give them a try. read more

This is a nice diner, old style and charming. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday, so we sat at the counter. I had steak and eggs (good tender steak and perfect eggs). My boyfriend had the hungry mans special, said the rye was excellent. Overall very happy with the food. Thought the prices were fair. We are camping nearby but this is exactly what you expect from a small town diner. Update! It's a year later, we came back to camp and came back to Marika's. The Sunday specials were soooo good!!! The eggs Benedict on potato pancakes was fantastic. Really happy tummies and another star for the review. Our waitress was very nice also :) read more

Update: we've been back twice. Food has been okay/good. Although in my visits since the food is noticeably greasy compared to my first visit. Staff is okay but not nearly as nice as the first experience. Last time we went we sat in the only clean/cleared/re-set of three booths and were completely ignored. Some guys came in 10 minutes later, sat in one of the other booths and were greeted/asked about drinks almost immediately. I peaked over like "what the hell?"... the girl seemed to notice and brought us menus. We were told by a waitress to sit in any of the open booths, so it's not like we weren't initially noticed - which made it more annoying! Have had to leave our table to find someone when we needed something else after the food was dropped because they run away (has happened in both visits since our first). Pleasantly surprised. Went this past Saturday and FINALLY got in. The exterior is deceiving - it's so bright and airy. Omelette was filled with bacon, cheddar and broccoli and NOT greasy!! The cheddar was just melted enough to pull when I cut it but it was not overloaded, perfect. Potatoes were cooked nicely but a little bland. I had to salt the potatoes and omelette (would have given 5 stars if the food had just a touch more seasoning). Asked for the toast well done and was happy to see it cooked well. Waitress was adorable and very nice. Coffee mugs and large OJ were good size for price. Mixed fruit Jelly is a bonus for me, I've mentioned it in previous reviews. BF liked his breakfast too. The food here is good and typically so is the service. However, there is one waitress working at this restaurant who is...well...unfriendly and the service she renders is terrible...If this waitress does not like you, she makes it VERY obvious by her mannerisms and by the fact she fails to check up on you and or offer you free refills on any of your beverages. It's truly poor customer service when you see this said waitress conversing with other customers; being loud and obnoxious with them and offering to fill up their beverages, while you are waiting for a complimentary refill of which you should NOT have to ask her for. With the above being said, I give this place 2-3 stars...When you don't receive exceptional service with your food, no matter how great the food may be, it truly reflects poorly on the restaurant itself! Although, I have been there quite a few times in the past (and today 12/16/17), after an awful experience like this, I am not sure I want to go back... It's truly a shame that the owner and the other great waitresses who work there need to be included in a review that is being submitted on the account of one; an ill mannered and unfriendly waitress. read more

So we tried this place this morning, and Krystyl LaCoille reviewed them very fair based on how felt the food was. I gave them a 1 star because of how I felt the food was. She was very polite and formal in her review. And we didn't want anything for free as we never do. The waitress was very polite abd apologetic and said shw wouldn't charge us for the cooks mistake. (The whole omlet) but then only took off the ham. Do not go to this place as you can see the owners careless and slandering reply. Pathetic. read more

The food was good but our waitress had no personality and seemed like she was doing us a favor by waiting on us. We both had breakfast and it was a Sunday but the place was not packed. A sweet girl came over and cleaned our table and took our drink orders and said our waitress would be right over. 10 minutes later I got up and asked the girl who took our drink order could she find our waitress which she left and came back and said the waitress will be right here. I said thanks and we waited, when our waitress came over she seemed perturbed at us never a smile or even looked at us just what do you want. Very mediocre breakfast. Got the Hungry man breakfast, it was quite small, eggs were underdone, cheap greasy sausage, and gross bacon. Home fries were good, but for the price there are many other places with much better food. It's also very loud and noisy in the downstairs section. Won't be going back. read more

I went here a few months ago despite the bad reviews. I live somewhat close but travel to Walmart nearby and it would be nice to get breakfast here. First time: foods good, service ok. Second time: foods good, again. There were only a few people in the restaurant but my waitress decided to seat her screaming child (grandchild?) directly behind me, paid no attention while the booth was rattled repeatedly and the child screamed in my ear. Guess it was bring your kid to work day. I checked out - $14. At least the food is cheap. Third experience: this will be my last time. I was seated in the corner next to a group that was absolutely screaming at the top of their lungs at 10am. This was the worst breakfast I've had in my life. I wish I had just left. After multiple attempts to reach my table, which was blocked off by a group of non-patrons that decided to visit their friends at breakfast, I finally got my menu. My fiancé and I ordered our exact same breakfast, which was $14, except this time she didn't order a juice alongside her coffee. For some reason, my bill was $21. I ordered a $4 breakfast sandwich. We had two coffees. I was charged $4 for my sandwich, and my fiancé was charged $14 for hers. $14 for a breakfast sandwich. Don't waste your time ....., read more

Always a good meal, yes it's greasy depending on your mesl, but nice to indulge. Breakfast all day is nice. They only are open til 2 or 3 except Friday which is until 7 PM. We eat here at least once a week. Staff is always very friendly and as a regular they get to know what you like and serve your drinks before taking the order. We average$20 for 2 if us to eat. Once in a while the breakfast potatoes aren't seasoned well, but that isn't a major factor. Definitely worth going there, especially to support a local business. read more
