I've been here twice now and it's definitely a fun spot. The drinks are really good and the service has been great both times. I tried the carne asada and pollo tacos, which were okay, but I do think the food could use a little more seasoning. My friend's al pastor tacos, though, were amazing and easily the best thing at the table. I'd definitely order those next time. I feel really bad for giving this restaurant three stars because I've been here before and I've always loved it...... However, I ordered the the enchiladas rancheras and I was not happy with the overall quality of the dish..... It lacked sauce, flavor, and most of the "love" that goes into a Mexican culinary creation. The actual dish was dry because there was not enough sauce and that's probably most of the problem.... Furthermore, the rice that was served with it was absolutely flavorless tasted like instant Uncle Ben's rice out of the box and nothing added to it..... I feel like for $20. This should definitely be worked up a lot and I also feel like the rancheras sauce is not on par at all. I'm no expert Mexican food cook, but I do know that you want to have a nice Smoky red chili flavor in your ranchera sauce. I didn't get that at all from this dish. I will give Casa Laura another chance.... But I will probably order something different next time. read more

Meh. Came here for Cinco de mayo. We had called days before and were told they would not take reservations for a party of 6- I figured this meant there must not be a large enough community to support the need for reservations on a Mexican holiday. But no. Waited over an hour for a table after being told it would take 30 minutes. They shuffled us outside to this area between buildings. At least a waitress came to take drink orders out there. After 40 minutes they said it would be 10 more minutes, they were waiting for a party to leave after the party had paid. 10 minutes later I was seriously considering going up to the party of 6 (who had finished their meal, paid, and yet were just hanging out) and asking them to leave as we have children in our party and it's now 8pm. Luckily they left, but by this time I was ready to leave as well. Some waitress gave us free shit like sunglasses and keychains, which I found tacky. Just give me a table within the timeframe you say you will. The ambiance is nice. The food is just ok: average. The service is horrible- obviously this restaurant is STILL working out the kinks...1 year after they opened. I was extremely disappointed, will not return for at least another 6 months. Casa Laura Tacos & Tequila opened in Webster in June 2025, in the former Stave & Still space (relocated to Dudley). This casual Mexican restaurant & bar offers full service dining with table seating along the walls and seating at the long full service bar with TVs. The bar offers 6 draft beers, bottle/can beers, wine, cocktails, tequila, mixed drinks, margaritas, and martinis. The food offerings include tacos, street tacos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, quesadillas, flautas, tortas, nachos, appetizers, ribeye steak, seafood, chicken dishes and dessert. The prices seem fair. I stopped by Casa Laura for dinner recently. I took a seat up at the bar and was given a laminated menu to look at and a complementary basket of chips and tangy tomato sauce dip and an ice water. I decided on the Chimichanga ($14 plus tax) with rice & beans, which came out in 7 minutes after ordering. I was also given more chips. The portion of food was good. The fried chimichanga was filled with shredded chicken & onions topped with queso with soft Mexican rice and soft refried beans topped with cheese. After I finished my food, I was given the check which was $14.88 with tax and before tip. Overall, a fairly good meal and prompt service. I was good to go for the easy drive to the CT casinos for the evening. read more

We've been wanting to try this place and decided to grab some takeout tonight. The space is clean and vibrant. It seemed like a fun vibe to go and hang out for a few margaritas with dinner. The food was ehh. Like, nothing was bad but it didn't speak to me. The Birria burrito was very bland. It tasted like they forgot to add any seasoning to the consome. My wife liked her chimichanga but again, nothing to write home about. The pork belly app was good and I would get it again. The complimentary chips and salsa were appreciate but they came with only one shot cup of salsa for the bag of chips. The prices and portions were decent. The cocktail menu looks fun but we didn't grab any this time around. All in, we'll probably give it another try at some point but it won't go into the regular rotation. read more

My husband and I found our new favorite Mexican restaurant, casa Laura!l in Webster MA. The absolute best margaritas I've ever had. Regular and jumbo sizes and of course a full bar with beer on tap. Alex the Bartender was great!!! The food is simple and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and the ambiance perfect. I can't wait to go back with friends to share this place with. We had a really bad experience here. We arrived around 4:00 and didn't get our food until about 5:30. At first, we were told there was only one chef, which we understood -- but then another chef came in, and a large party of about seven people who arrived 20 minutes after us got their food before we did. When our food finally came out, it wasn't even good. The flavors were disappointing and definitely not worth the long wait. Overall, the service was slow, disorganized, and the food didn't make up for it. We won't be coming back. read more

It's so cozy inside, did not imagine it would be that nice, atmosphere is great, bartender Alex took very good care of us and made the best coconut margarita, had empanadas and ground beef tacos and they were very tasty as well, definitely recommend trying this place out. read more

The first time we went we both got our order wrong but went again as it was the soft opening when we went. So second time. We sat at the bar and they brought over the chips and half little bowl of salsa. Not much taste but did taste better than the first time. My husband got a beer which was half beer and half foam. We ordered our food and asked 3 times for more salsa which he finally brought. Also asked for extra lime for the beer which never came. Our food came out and I asked the girl for napkins which we did not have and more chips. She belt the napkins but not the chips. My husband's enchiladas were not hot. My beef tacos were very greasy. Oil all over my plate. Then we asked for our check and he said sure but started making drinks and taking other food orders from people. Service needs to improve for sure. The food is just ok. New restaurant in Webster...3 stars because it has potential to be amazing! TLDR: drinks AMAZING, food hit or miss, and service awful. Our party of three was excited to try it out! Called earlier in the day to make reservations (website wouldn't let you) and when I asked to make a reservation the woman who answered hung up on me. Recognizing that this is brand new and that we would likely need to extend some grace and have patience, we went anyways. Arrived at 5:30 and got a table without a wait. Before I could even settle into my chair and open the menu (I think I actually still had my handbag in my hand!), server was asking what I wanted to drink so I asked for a minute to look over the drink menu. Ordered round of various margaritas and guacamole. Also ordered waters as they didn't come with the table. Server came back to ask if we wanted ice in the water and we said yes. Chips and salsa were good. Drinks came in about 15min and all three were great! Definitely recommend the spicy/jalapeño marg...delicious! Guacamole was essentially just mashed avocado, nothing more, so not very impressed. Eventually got the cups of water about 35min after arrival. Ordered fish tacos, fajitas and a chimichanga. Fish tacos were very good. Chimichanga was okay - came on a very hot plate that the server handed to someone in our party without warning (thankfully he is a welder and has high heat tolerance; I would have dropped it because it was so hot). Fajitas came with just a steaming tray of steak - have to say that I thought the sizzling serving tray was being held extremely close to my head, I could actually feel the heat on my ear and I quickly ducked to the side (another potentially burn avoided!). We had to ask for tortillas for the fajitas. Ended up waiting ~15min before having to ask someone else for tortillas, which eventually came. No other fixings came with tortillas - no beans, no cheese, nothing. Ordered another round of drinks, which were also excellent. We were excited to try dessert and ordered the churros. Well, we never did get the churros and was handed a bill about 25min after ordered them, so we paid and left. Other things we noticed: not one empty glass or plate was removed from the table over the course of the meal. There were several parties waiting and when other parties finished and left, the dirty tables were not cleaned for at least 20min. I suspect that our server was responsible for most of the issues, as towards the end, another server came to run the credit card for the bill because she noticed how long we had been waiting to pay. Multiple tables that arrived well after we did, ate a meal, apps or dessert, paid and exited before we even had our meals. For having just guac and a meal (no other apps or dessert), we were there a total of 2hrs 15min. As I said, Casa Laura has huge potential! They need to work on efficiency with the servers mostly. Will definitely try again in a couple months, after they've had a chance to iron out the wrinkles. I hope they do because this could be our new favorite spot in town! read more

We came in for a late lunch. They gave us fresh, hot tortilla chips and salsa when we sat down. There is nothing vegan on the menu, but they were very accommodating and made a special vegan burrito for me. My companions had a fish taco and a street taco and said they were very good. All the portions were large, and the waiter was very sweet and attentive. They've only been open a few months - I hope they will be successful! read more

heard good things about this new restaurant so decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we found the ambiance to be quite pleasant. We had reservations and were seated promptly but that was the only prompt thing that happened for the rest of the night. after 10 minutes, waiter came to take our drink order and brought chips and salsa which were okay, but nothing special. I ordered the Presidente margarita and it was pretty good but a bit later when I ordered another of the same, it looked and tasted completely different and was not good. While munching on the chips, I realized that we had not been given any napkins - had to ask. I ordered chicken fajitas which were just average and came without tortillas - had to ask. Empty drink glasses were left on the table far too long. Service was generally inefficient. It took about 45 minutes after ordering our food for it to come even though mexican food generally can be put together fairly quickly. In fact our whole dinner without dessert took a full two hours from start to finish. Probably won't be going back. There are other mexican restaurants in the area that are much better. read more
