Searching for a new gym I'm usually a commercial gym kinda guy. Doors wide open to anyone and long waits for machines and even the restroom. This place is tiny in comparison, however it's more of a personal gym. 4 private gender neutral restroom with showers, (No more of unpleasant sights ifykyk ) personal key entry to the gym. (I think it used to be a key fob but now it's through the app) Membership is slightly more expensive, Although the price does deter mass amounts of members it still has the typical wait for certain machines. (Mainly due to the trainers who have priority) Kind of like one of the bigger gyms scaled down with higher exclusivity. read more

I've had an excellent experience at Anytime Fitness and can see why recent Newsweek readers voted it the best gym franchise in the United States. The club is open 24/7, 365 days a year, making it easy to fit workouts into any schedule. It's rarely crowded, is conveniently located, and has ample parking. The facility is always clean, and the equipment is well maintained. A special thanks to Jasmyne, who does a fantastic job welcoming new members. I was pretty disappointed by the size and lack of equipment at this Arcadia location. My tour lasted 30 seconds, and I was uninspired to work out here. First off, you make an appointment, but nobody is there to greet you when you arrive. You're stuck at the rear door like a creeper. Then, you get the 30-second tour of limited weights and equipment. I went at noon, and there were five people inside. This gym isn't for you if you're a moderate weight lifter. They don't have any benches for barbells except a smith machine. If you want to do some light lifting with dumbbells and run on the treadmill with minimal people, then this place is perfect. Going further, they don't have any real strength machines for the upper and lower body. It's very limited. Not even a basic bench for preacher curls. It's very disappointing because this could be a good concept. As for the price, which they DON'T advertise, it's a scam. You pay bi-monthly. I don't recall the exact numbers, but if you link your bank account, it comes out to 65 dollars a month, and if you don't link your bank account, it comes out to 70 dollars a month. Give or take a few dollars. Another annoying thing is that you have to go to your home Anytime location 70% percent of the time, or you will be flagged and have to switch locations. I think that's how it was explained to me. They do this because you're paying your home Anytime location, not the one you're visiting and they all charge differently. So in essence you could pay less to workout at a more expensive location. read more

I could not rave about this gym any more than I already have to my friends and family! I was just leaving more of a super-packed, influencer like, very 'what you would expect from' an LA gym, and was looking for another gym to commit to. I wasn't a fan of being in a space that was super crowded, nor constantly being in the back of people's videos (no shame) so I was hoping to find a smaller gym that had everything I needed. When I say the trainers here are intentional -- I mean they are INTENTIONAL. DJ (the best!!) gave me a tour of the gym and asked me honest questions about my fitness journey and allowed me to ask him honest questions about the space, the equipment, and especially the busyness. Though he was making Anytime Fitness seem like the next big thing, he never came across as being too pushy or even too quick and impersonal with my first visit here; just rather passionate about this gym and about seeing people show up and keep growing here. (Come to find out Anytime Fitness WAS the next big thing for me and my fitness journey!!) I am SO grateful that I went with my gut and chose Anytime Fitness. The space is always clean, their bathrooms are spotless and...they have HAIR TIES and feminine products. When I saw the hair ties, I knew I was in the right place. And you do In-Body scans to track progress and set fitness goals and routines with trainers?? Need I say more. 3.5 months later, still here at this gym, and loving it, I've come at 6 am and 5 pm and still there are never too many people here. I've visited 4 anytime fitness locations. Best anytime fitness I have been to. The facility is clean, has all the required cleaning items, it's well organized and very efficient with the space. They have a good mix of machines and grips as well as plenty of high quality squat and power racks. read more

This is the first gym where I feel welcomed to be a part of it. The staff is great and helpful. Signing up was easy and I get to meet with a coach once a month to see my progress. Everything I need to get a good workout is there plus the private showers are perfect. read more

Writing this review to save people time if they're interested in the 7 free day trial period like I was. It is no longer a 7 free day trial regardless of what the website says. Sales rep said the gym is getting busy so they can do a 1 day free trial but it seems like if you push you can ask for more. Free trial does not include 24 hr access it is only when the sales rep are in the office. Price is 75$ a month with a 1 year contract and you can only cancel if you move to a vicinity without an Anytime fitness gym. Overall the place looked clean but I'm not sure if it's worth 3x the price of 24 hr. The gym is relatively small so I can see it being crowded if too many people sign up. read more

The equipment is fine, but the gym is overpriced for what's available, and when I asked why my friend who enrolled in the Pasadena location was paying 43% less for her membership, I was met with incredible unprofessionalism from Toni, the Arcadia manager. Not only was Toni not able to sufficiently explain why the dues were so differently priced, she was hostile to my friend, raising her voice on a phone call and threatening to lock her out of the Arcadia location. I recruited my friend to join so we could both work out at the same gym. I regret this decision and cancelled my contract as soon as I could given the way we were both treated by the management. read more

After not going to the gym in well over a year. Is not easy for me to drive up there to work out since I moved. I walked in to cancel my membership and they guy at the desk gave me a card and told me to send an email that I wanted to cancel both my membership. He said he could take care of me there. So went outside and sat in the parking lot and send an email that I wanted my membership cancel. I didn't here from them at all.. so to play it safe on my end. I told my bank to cancel all future transaction with them. Moving on.... They send me an email stating that I owe a pass due balance. Well I called so speak to someone. And Spoke to D'J and told him the situation. And literally he was they guy that game me the card to cancel my membership. I explain how frustrating this is and to the point that they put me in collections!! By that point I'm already furious! He said he will call me back. I signed up to do small group training at the Anytime Fitness in Arcadia. I had been doing yoga and pilates for a long time, but I have neither ever worked out with weights nor done circuit training. And at the age of 65, I knew I had to step things up. I found just a great crew of trainers at the gym, smart, professional, friendly, and willing to listen and work with me. I have been very committed to my workouts and I am seeing the results in just how I feel. And I feel that I have a great support network to cheer me on, not let me slack, and continuously up the ante so I can do more. I am ever so grateful. read more

Clean facility, need I say more? All the protocols are followed to keep the gym open and it's not crowded like some other gyms. Since it's open 24/7, one doesn't have an excuse to not workout. This is a very clean and organized gym and fitness center. The staff are super friendly and introduce everyone throughout the facility. It feels more like a club than a gym. The equipment is all top Of the line and in perfect working condition. Most people are professionals or very serious exercise/body builder enthusiasts. Disclaimer: I am a cheapskate so this is definitely biased. The main thing that drew me into this gym was the 24 hrs aspect. Especially during a time like this, I definitely appreciate and utilize this privilege the gym was able to offer me. The main hesitation I had was the price and contract. $100 base price with a 1yr contract. They did not offer any free trial weeks either. On top of that, they don't have all the machines I was hoping for that I had in previous gyms. I also feel the gym is too small so I would sometimes have to wait until people are done with their workout in order to use the machine Overall tho, it is certainly not a bad gym and I do enjoy it. I love this gym!! The trainers are so knowledgeable, they make it a point to introduce the new members to everyone in the gym. It's not crowded and it's very clean. There are sanitizing stations all over, everyone is mindful of wiping down the machines. Anytime Fitness is like no other gym. I'm a senior and I look forward to my workout. This is the cleanest gym I've ever been to. Workout towels are available also big with things you might forget...like hair ties. In addition, plenty of parking and even has bathrooms with showers. And they provide towels and shampoo, etc. I'm glad I'm a member of anytime fitness. read more

The only reason why I went here is because my fob key wasn't working at the one in Duarte. This place looks so clean and the treadmills are well updated. Looking around, the bathrooms are very clean and they have lockers unlike my gym that uses baskets. The only reason why I didn't make this my home gym location is that they didn't have a smith machine which I use regularly. I have a balance problem and I need to hold on something secured and steady while lifting. Besides for that reason, I'll be going here instead.... read more

Great facility, all equipment is new and well maintained. The 24 hour aspect is also great, sometimes I like to switch things up and go real early morning, it's nice to have that flexibility. I did the seven-day trial as advertised on the Yelp page and was pleasantly satisfied with my experience here. There was always staff during the staffed hours (which is not the case for all Anytime Fitness locations...) to greet me and sign me in. All equipment is fairly new and is constantly being wiped down, from what I noticed. Additionally, whenever I went, there were consistently less than ten people throughout the entire space, which was nice as space itself is limited (specifics below). The clientele here are also varied, which creates a more welcoming atmosphere. The only downside to this gym (and why I won't be signing up for a full-time membership) is that it is small in space, and there is only one of each type of machine except for weight benches (two), treadmills, and TRX cage (two). They have key machines but not a wide variety, mainly due to space limitations. Additionally, there are classes that are hosted on the designated stretching/padded area, so when there are classes going on and you'd like to stretch, you need to try to find space yourself either in the small free-weights section or in their hardwood walled-off room. Otherwise, if you're looking for a more boutique gym and don't require a variety of machines for your regimen, this would likely be a good pick. Tip: Free and spacious parking lot in the back, enter on Santa Anita. read more

I've been a member of anytime fitness since I lived in Tokyo about 5-6 years ago. Anytime fitness is the perfect place to workout because it isn't crowded like most other gyms. (24, golds, LA etc) Arcadia is definitely a step up from what I used in Tokyo. Equipment is new and clean and I never have to wait for a bench or a rack. The staff is probably what sets this location apart though from others. The trainers are extremely friendly and offer help even if you aren't there to train. The friendliness of the staff made me start taking personal training sessions and since I started I've seen a lot of improvements in not only my body shape but my golf swing as well. I think if you're ok with paying a bit more than a membership at one of the places mentioned above, I personally believe that the difference in price is absolutely worth it. read more

Cardio kickboxing class: super fun yet challenging experience! We were a small group of 7 students. The instructor was clear, engaging and supportive; it felt intense but there was no pressure. We warmed up with jabs, hooks and side kicks; moved onto TRX (squats + kicks) and jump rope; did some punching drills that really got us breathing; abs; and closed out with planks. Kickboxing seems very partner-oriented, which was cool because I still (somehow) got a workout when my partner was sparring. The hour felt super short and I achieved enormously more than any other usual hour spent at the gym. Would definitely return, but we checked out the membership packages on our way out and they do not have a class-only package (which would have suited our needs). They do have an unlimited class package for around $150/month, but we opted out considering we've only checked out one class so far + have gym memberships elsewhere. Parking: plentiful in the back. Amenities: lots of towels, good quality mats, beautiful, one-stall bathrooms! Crowd: not busy at all! Approximately 30% packed during the evening hours; the front desk staff told us that it was as busy as it usually got. The demographic was around 30+ YO. Everyone was friendly! read more

I looked into getting a membership at anytime fitness. I was referred by someone and decided to give it a shot. Went into the Arcadia location to get introduced to the facility, programs, costs/fees associated with becoming a member. I was quoted $200+ for sign up fees. Annual fees close to $100 and weekly charges for being a member at $34 ($70 a month total). I decided to think it over and make my final decision come Saturday. I decided that I would put my health and well being ahead of any expenses I would incur and sign up once and for all. However, by chance, when calling to go in that Saturday there were no supervisors/managers available to help sign me up at the Arcadia location. I was aware that anytime had another location in Pasadena and decided to finalize my decision that day at the Pasadena location instead. Can honestly say that was the best thing that could have happened. Compare the following: Pasadena was charging me a $1 sign up fee, $50 annual fees, and $15 biweekly charges ($30 a month total) for the same membership Arcadia was giving me. Was a no brainer, jumped on the offer and became a member. Fast forward a couple months. I began using both Arcadia and Pasadena facilities, as I was told I could visit any of the anytime fitness locations under my current membership. However, I received a call from Jazmin (Arcadia location manager) and was told the following: if I continue to use the Arcadia location more than the Pasadena location I would be charged the rate for which Arcadia initially quoted me. I proceeded to inform Jazmin I would no longer be using the Arcadia location as I felt they were creating unnecessary expenses and inconveniences for me. Don't take my word for it, do your research and make the best decision for yourself. No hard feelings towards the Arcadia location, but facts remain facts and in today's inflated prices and overreaching administrative personnel my decision was a no brainer. Hope in the future the Arcadia location can reconsider and treat all anytime fitness members with the same respect and not just to those who initially signed up at their location. Hands down the best gym ever!! You can ask any of my friends, I RAVE about this gym all the time. Here are some of the reasons why I love this place: 1. They've done an impeccable job at maintaining a safe & sanitary facility as we're facing this pandemic. Members are only allowed access if they've made a reservation in advance. Their key fob system allows them to regulate & minimize the amount of people inside at a time. + they're constantly cleaning (the members are too)! Ps it's not difficult to reserve your preferred time slot. They strategically regulate the number of memberships they sell to prevent overcrowding. Even before covid, it was never crowded!! As someone who works a 9-5, I RESENTED going to other gyms because they were always packed after work. I've never had this issue with Anytime! I've never had to wait for a machine which is a HUGE win in my book 2. They actually care about you!! They're all so sweet and basically know every member by name. You're not just a number to them. 3. They genuinely pride themselves in helping their members. Even before I started my training sessions with Devin, Andrew was always so helpful & more than willing to give me form tips whenever I asked. Since training, Devin & Jordi have helped tremendously!! Always clean with fresh towels. Fans circulating the air and televisions to various stations. Nice shower facilities too. Nice equipment that is kept in really good condition. I have to say that the staff has been very friendly and supportive and will answer pretty much any question you have. It could be about specific exercises to supplements like protein powders or recovery drinks to help you push through those really tough workouts. Classes they have are fun and challenging as well. Didn't even make it threw my free 7 days we signed up for our membership only 3 days in! Everyone here is so nice and always remembers your name and is so willing to help w workouts and machines. My favorite is the virtual workout room where you pick your class like cardio or conditioning which I prefer bc before this I only took boot camp classes so it's nice to have a teacher pushing you. The heart rate monitors are also super helpful and force me to push my self harder to get to the percentage or calorie burn that I want for the day and to let me know I'm making progress. Also I've been there all times of the day and ~7:00 was the busiest I've seen and there was only 9 people (4 of which were in one of the trainers classes) read more
